Service is suck no customer service at all the manager said to me "I'm not gonna give you any discount because you keep asking for it" lol

About a year ago, while I was leaving work, I hit a curb in Chelmsford and popped my tire. In a panic, I called Tire Warehouse in Lowell and explained what happened and that I had a long drive home that I wasn't comfortable driving with a donut tire on my car. The gentleman I spoke to said they were closing in a bit and if I could make it ASAP, they could take a look. When I got there, they were super nice and checked it out right away. There was no saving the old tire and I had to purchase two as I have an AWD vehicle. I expected that and we talked about tires. I told them I typically do 120 miles round trip for work so I wanted quality tires. I'm not well versed with tire brands so I've always relied on the professionals to help guide me based upon what I'm looking for. The guy told me his recommendation and I said okay and they started to change two tires. During checkout, the total was around $300 for two tires. I handed over my card and made a joke that I probably would've paid anything to get the tires to which the guy responded, 'had I known, I would've charged you more!' I didn't think much of it and went about my night when my car was done. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I had a nail in my tire and went to the Tire Warehouse in Exeter to get it fixed. It was in and out no problem and the tech went over what he did to repair it and gave me a form that showed what my treads were at and told me I should start thinking about four new tires. I asked him if he was sure since I had replaced two tires within the year and the other two were about two years old at this point. He told me he checked every tire and the treads were marked accordingly. I told him the story about the two tires and he asked me where I got them done and how much I paid. He asked me where I went in Lowell and I said I was pretty sure it was Tire Warehouse but, in not so many words told me it was unlikely their store in Lowell would have done that. This guy was so nice and polite! He said I got hosed and that I got the 'odd brand' of low quality tires. I thanked him for the patching my tire and going over the tire treads with me. I was really upset but let it go because I was second guessing where I had gone. That is until this morning I got an email an email from Tire Warehouse in the Lowell location about 'Winter Weather Alert.' Now I've lived in NH my whole life and never had to get tires outside of the state so process of elimination points me to the Lowell location to have questionable practices and overcharge me for a terrible quality tires. I'm really disappointed that the Lowell location would take advantage of customers like that. read more

Went to tire warehouse to have two tires repaired the worker said the balancing machine was broken but yet they still charged me to balance two tires upon leaving tire warehouse I noticed I did not have the lock for my locking lugs went back to retrieve the lock and they could not find it and they did not do anything to help me Very disappointed in the service there in the manager Shany was very rude don't think I'll ever go back to that branch again and somebody needs to contact me in regards to the lost key for my locking lugs read more

Super helpful staff. I went in on a Sunday it was very busy with a 1.5 hour wait. The desk manager was upfront about the wait, but was able to watch tv in the waiting area. Not even ten minutes later the manager was able to swap out my four tires in under 30 minutes! I was happy with the results and would go there again read more

I got towed here when I got a flat and got 2 new tires that a year later needed to be replaced and I was too far away to make it worth it to get the warranty. Didn't choose the nicer tire options so feel like they sold me a cheap one, but they were fast and friendly so if I went back, I'd try to push for more info and see if they can sell me something better. read more

saw a tire advertised on a commercial, looked it up on their web site and said they had it but when i went to buy them the guy told me they really never carry them and offered me a different tire that was less than the quality of what i wanted for 300.00 more for all 4. I went to Tire Warehouse because of the annoying add on sales tactics at NTB where they always tell you need a new cabin filter or your oil is dangerously dirty (visual inspection of motor oil for this is useless), you need brakes, or whatever the Sales Manager is told to enforce by the corporate team that day. Well you do not get that annoyance at Tire Warehouse, they will do what you ask and no more and their prices are very reasonable. I had two tires delivered there from the Tire Rack which I highly recommend as the best way to buy tires and make an educated decision based on their excellent information. Combining that info with Consumer Reports and you can't miss making the best possible decision on what tire is best for you. That said, while I was at Tire Warehouse, the manager did a decent job of advising customers on what the cheapest tire they had was and why a more expensive tire was better. The installation, however, left something to be desired. They broke my McGard wheel lock key which I can only assume was because they used the air gun on it which should never be done. My key was 8 years old and maybe it was time to go so I can't be 100% sure it was their fault. Luckily it broke after they were all removed or I would have no car until I could get a replacement key air mailed to me. Yes, get a back-up key if you use wheel locks. Secondly, they asserted that one of my wheel lug bolts was stripped and that it was not their fault. That is hard to believe but again I can't be 100% sure it wasn't done by the previous shop. They do have a Hunter wheel balancer, the only model you should ever use as I am frequently dissatisfied when I have a shop using something else. The employees work outdoors over a canopy and the inside of the shop is a mess. The wait area is tolerable and the wait is like all others, expect 1-2 hours. They claimed they hand torque the lug bolts and give free re-torqueing after driving the car to break everything in. Unfortunately, when I checked my lug nuts at home, they measured mostly in the 125 FT-LB range where my Kia is spec'd at 70-80 FT-LB. Also, I found another cross threaded lug bolt where only the original lug nut would go back on and new ones would not so at least I did not have to replace it but maybe eventually. I did not remove and check every lug nut so there may be more cross threaded ones and I don't want to know anymore. It is conceivable that should I get a flat, then I will not be able to get all/some of the lug nuts back on the spare tire. Even if Tire Warehouse did not do the cross threading (you can do your own guess based on other reviews), why did they not inform me of the obvious cross threaded bolt which they could re-install the lug not on and only notify me of the other cross threaded bolt that was impossible to put a lug nut on? Apparently they know they can air gun the lugs at installation, possibly even cross threading them or re-installing previous cross threaded ones, and let the few who return for re-torqueing and then actually correctly torque the bolts. Remember that over torqueing your lug nuts can significantly impact the service life of your brake pads and rotors (maybe even the calipers?) which of course is a good thing for the installers to get you back sooner rather than later. In the end, NTB is better overall as they do torque correctly, use the Hunter balancer, and don't cross thread your lug bolts because they start the lug nut by hand. So just blow off any attempt by the NTB sales people to sell you the flavor or the month add on scam or maybe their computer rotates each scam based on your previous visits. Also when NTB quotes you for a battery, they forget to tell you that installation is not included so you only notice it added on when its time to pay. Yes, NTB is scammy, but they install correctly where it seems Tire Warehouse doesn't scam you but you must question their installation integrity. I also found that BJ's has good prices but on a limited selection which can easily defeat the cost savings and they have cross threaded a lug bolt (they admit it and pay for the repair) and their balancer does a good job only some of the time. All I can say about Town Fair Tire is that their prices are very high (even accounting for their free services) but maybe just get a quote from the Tire Rack or Wholesale Club and make them honor their price match but if the balancer isn't a Hunter, probably not worth the effort and I bet they over weight the value of the extra services which is really only there to make an apples and apples comparison difficult. I also have a problem with the way Town Fair Tire advertises their can't be beat pricing which is totally bogus unless you jump through a lot of hoops and probably need a law degree to get through their process. I have been using the TireRack.com probably since I got my 1981 Honda and at the very least, let them compete for your business and tire making decision. read more

Anthony made sure I was serviced as quickly as possible and made it known that my car was being taken car of. 10/10 customer service all around, was acknowledged by everyone! I scheduled an appointment online and they called me right away to confirm it. I got there a few minutes early and they helped me right away. Once they found the tires I needed, I was in and out of the shop in about 30 minutes. The prices are affordable. The service was quick. The best part about Tire Warehouse are the employees and the manager, Mike. Super friendly, professional, and courteous. Not to mention, they are hilarious. They were not trying to rip me off and make me pay tires I didn't need. I am a repeat customer and I will continue to go back as needed. read more

The guys at Tire Warehouse were all awesome . I had a tire that I had to keep filling up with air. I pulled into the parking lot, and within 5 minutes they had the tire off, took out a nail, plugged it, put the tire back on, and I was on my way. Great price, great service...I would definitely go there again. read more

We'll the price was good, the service was ok the first time. But when i came back after 3 week with the tire flat in the backseat of my car they changed completely. The tire was destroyed because i drove flat with it to a secure location since this happened during a snowstorm, so now he said "i can do nothing about it". Paid 130 bucks for a new tire, that lasted three weeks, 40 k mile warranty my ass!!!! read more

Amazing service! I had a very specific tire in mind that no one else had in stock. For the cost of four new tires and the warrantee it ended up being cheaper than what I expected to pay with no warrantee and this was on a Sunday! Will be back! read more

This is the first time I have been there since they changed management. I was less than impressed. Although I have been buying my tires there for 15 years, I will not be back. It took an hour and a half to have one tire installed. I would go back in a heartbeat if the old crew were there. read more

this place is awesome. i bought some nice tires for some rims i had they put them on and really made me feel like they've known me for years like a friend. after they put the tires on we realized the rims weren't right on my car they took the tires off for me and said when i get new rims that will work on my car they will remount the tires and balance them for me. stand up honest guys down they're i recommend them 100% read more

Bought tires here twice - great price - can't be beat. However, awful customer service. Both times I called in advance and was told that yes, 15 min. before closing was a good time to come. Then the Manager, Mike, told me quite angrily that they were closing in 15 min. and why would I come so late? When I reminded him of our conversation earlier in the day and that he told me I could arrive at this time, he ignored me. I told him I would go somewhere else, but he said he already ordered the tire and had someone put it on...then told me he couldn't balance it as it was too late, but I ended up having to pay for the balance anyway. I had to drive somewhere else and pay more $ to have the tires balanced. The 2nd time I came, I got the same attitude about the time I arrived, though I had called in and spoken to Mike in advance. This time, instead of having the tire put on, I bought it and had them load it into my car, then I took it to the other shop for mounting and balancing as I refused to pay for non-existent balancing that I'd have to repay somewhere else.
