After I visited the store for some routine maintenance I noticed that everyone that brought their vehicle to be serviced was asked to have a conversation with the managers Andy or Paul. Every single one of them was told they had problems with their vehicles and they tried to sell them more services and parts than what they asked for. They need to realize that some cars are old and they should not have to replace every part that has wear and tear on it unless it is a safety issue. To me it seems like a money grab. read more

I will never use Tire Works again and will ensure any customers I come in contact with don't either. I had an appointment this morning at 8am for s concierge oil change. I called yesterday and spoke with Richard confirming the appointment and he said someone would call me to make arrangements for this morning. No one did. At 8:10 this morning I called and again spoke with Richard. He said they were on a skeleton crew so didn't have anyone to come get my car, but would soon. At 8:45 I called and spoke with Richard again. I cancelled my appointment at this time. I had plans today so needed the oil change done first thing. I understand not having staff, but the customer should not be the one calling, the store should be calling the customer. This isn't the first situation they have done me wrong. I took my wife's vehicle in for an oil change prior to going on a road trip and asked if they would top off the wiper fluid. They said they would. In the middle of our road trip we needed the wiper fluid and to our dismay, we didn't have any. Never use this place! read more

Stopped in to get my tires rotated. Here's a snippet of the conversation. Associate: how can I help you today? Me: I'd like a tire rotation please! Associate: why do you think you need a tire rotation.... My reaction: my guard goes up immediately, I say to myself "Here we go another salesperson trying to convince me to spend more money than I need to spend" Me: my tire rotation is due and my oil change occurs every 10,000 miles, and I didn't get it done at the last oil change. So of course the salesman refused to rotate my tires and tried to sell me new tires. As a matter of fact, he tried to sell me two tires for about the same price I paid for all four at a competitor. $100 less to be exact. I obviously didn't buy his tires. I'll buy them at the tire store a mile down the street. The same place that rotated my tires without the harassment. I guess he doesn't know that I pass by 4 tire shops on the way to the shop where I bought the original tires. Maybe he's new at this. read more

Danny was so kind and didn't inflate my pricing told me I needed to replace my tire as I somehow managed to get a nail in one. I knew they all needed changing as I'd already purchased 2, however the dealership told me something else was going on and I had to plan accordingly. I'm so glad this happened albeit a Sunday. It took a little over an hour to replace the two in the back and next week I'll get the front 2 replaced, then the other work the dealership told me about. My husband took my car in for a tire rotation and oil change last weekend. When he gets home, I look at the tires I could tell they were not rotated. This place is close to home so I decided to drive back up there. When I arrive I am greeted by David, probably shop manager. I explain the car was brought up there for oil change and tire rotation. Then I explain how I don't feel confident the tires were rotated. I asked him to check the tires with me to confirm whether or not he agrees. I take him outside and he looks at the tires then asks for my keys. I asked David if he agrees the tires weren't rotated. He didn't say yes or no just said we just want you to be happy so we will rotate them. Thanks for the kind words but here's the problem with that. 2 things: 1. IF they were rotated, you were going to just rotate them back to their original location without even confirming whether or not they were in fact rotated? That makes zero sense. 2. Why not first ask the tech who completed the oil change whether or not it was actually done. (He couldn't confirm the rotation was done by the original tech because he was gone for the day.) So, a different technician who was available asked for my wheel lock key. (I drive a Lexus and any other time my tires have been rotated, like at Firestone or anywhere else, they had a master wheel lock key, so I've never had to provide it prior.) We look in the back of my car and discover the wheel lock key is not there. No problem. So then I ask the tech if they typically have a master? He said yes but the guy who has the master was not at the stop that day. But this wasn't explained to my husband when the service was finished. So here's the problem: Not once did anyone ask my husband for a wheel lock when it was initially brought up there when the tire rotation service was requested. Nor did anyone advise the tires were NOT rotated when the service was complete or give any insight as to WHY. As I walk back into the shop with the technician David states "oh yeah we need your wheel lock key to take the wheels off." I said "Your guy never asked for it when the car was brought up here initially and per this other technician your guy who has the master isn't here today." The technician jumps in and said "Yeah it's Dean and he isn't here today." So I ask David "When will Dean be in?" He says Monday morning. (I work 9-5 and can't stop in on Monday which is why I haven't returned and because I no longer trust Tireworks with my vehicle). I leave the shop. The worst part is that my husband asked them to check the brakes and the technician who completed the oil change service said the brakes were fine. But how would he know the brakes were fine if he didn't have the wheel lock key to take the wheels off to check the brakes? (And rotate our tires ) If someone asks for a service to be completed and it wasn't, someone should mention that when they pay and collect the car. Regardless whether or not the rotation was included in the oil change or whether it was charged separately is irrelevant. Feedback for management: the Tireworks team needs to work on communication. Poor service and poor communication. 1 Star. *update as of 9.16.19* One day following this review the actual shop manager called to apologize for the negative experience we encountered and asked us to give them another chance. And that he would do the rotation. Needless to say we won't be going back and we got the rotation taken care of elsewhere for free without issues. read more

Honestly I don't believe this store even deserves a star but unable to put less. I took my car to tire works to fix a problem, paid a lot of money for them not fixing the problem. Left my car and my car was returned not the way I left it plus missing parts (bracket under hood) and something was done under the dash by the way jobs to be performed did NOT require anybody under the dash. Typical mechanics! I brought my Jeep here because it was running hot and the ac was blowing hot. They keep my vehicle for 2 days and claimed they ran test to pinpoint the problem. They claimed my ac compressor and another part needed to be replaced and assured me that would the problem. They said they ran my engine for hours to make sure it was no longer over heating. After two days and $1000 later, I picked it up and within 10 min I realized my car was in the same conditioned I dropped it off in. Still running and blowing hot. After bringing it back, they all of a sudden find a new problem, the thermostat now needs replacing. Now being $1500 in the hole, I'm doubting my the first "Fix " was even required seeing how it didn't fix anything. read more

I brought my car in because my check engine light was on. The code was for the gas cap or EVAP leak. I've had the evap pump or valve replaced by them before so they warrantied out a new one. Check engine light was still on. They then did a whole computer system update that cost me $300, saying if the codes don't come off I wouldn't have to pay. According to Adam "one" of the codes went off with the update so I still had to pay. I only remember there being one code initially so that was bs. The light was off for a day then came back on. When I took it back, they told me I needed to take it to the dealership because they couldn't figure out the problem. I just took it to the dealership and they said I needed a new evap pump. I got it because I need this fixed to get registered here in Nevada. Cost me $600. So Tireworks not only wasted my time (the update took hours) but they also never fixed the problem when they said they did. Awful service. They take advantage of women. read more

I called the shop at 8:30 in the morning to have parts ordered for my vehicle, the manager on duty that I spoke with (Adam) told me they did not order parts until the vehicle was on the premise, at this time I readied myself and traveled to the shop to have the process underway as I needed it done as soon as possible to not conflict with my work schedule, up on arrival I was checked in promptly and began waiting on my parts to arrive so the technicians could then install said parts! I have been sitting here since 9am and it is now 3:15pm and my parts have just now arrived and my car has finally been taken to a bay as directed by the manager on duty Adam! Went here this morning to purchase two tires due to my two front tires having poor tread, associate at the desk was very pleasant and I sat in the waiting room while he looked at my car. After a short while he came to get me and took me into the bay area and proceeded to tell me all the work I needed to have done on my car, brakes struts, suspension control etc. totaling $3400! When I told him I wasn't interested In doing that right now and give me a print out so I can discuss it with my husband they kept making polite but snide comments, which irritated me even more. I paid the $260 for the two tires which came with a three-year warranty and when I got home I realized after showing the bill to my husband that they did not list any prices for all the work that they wanted to have done, but instead listed the services that I declined with NO itemized price list or a total estimate of the verbal quote given to me, this place is crooked! It appears they don't want you to compare their prices with other repair shops. Very disappointed because this could've been my go to place for oil changes and other services. read more

the customer service of the assistant store manager is great, but it feels very fake and disingenuous. it's obviously a part of his job to be overly kind, but multiple times i've been here they've tried to upsell me. they even tried to offer me a package that i had already done there by telling me it hasn't been done on my car and that my car was low on fluids. when i asked how that is possible since i recently had that work done here with them, he suddenly said he had to check the system to be sure and comes back saying oh i'm right and the fluids are fine... so did they not previously complete the work i paid hundreds of dollars for??? after that experience i have zero trust in them and don't believe they are doing the work i'm paying them to do. i will not be returning after being a loyal customer for many years. read more

I have gone to Big O on Boulder hwy for nearly 15 years. A few a months ago, I went there to find the owners/manager had changed and the experience was so bad it made me sick to my stomach. Even the repairmen there apologized to me. That experience led me to Tire works on Stephanie where I had my brakes replaced. Today I needed to get my oil changed and ask about a squeaking coming from my brakes. Richard was at the counter and helped me with the squeaking in my brakes, my oil change and new wiper blades. Richard Was beyond helpful and the most important thing was the level of trust that he displayed. He went out of his way to show concern, professionalism and he even helped me get a credit line for the things I need to get repaired on my daughter's truck. Nothing can replace trust and integrity. I may just have some of the worst possible luck with anything mechanical. My brakes, my tires, anything mechanical, you name it. It also doesn't help much when you know literally nothing about cars or what to do when something goes wrong. I came here for the first time during the pandemic to patch a tire and again not long ago when my master brake cylinder went out and needed to be replaced entirely. I'm a single mother without much auto knowledge and am pretty clueless when it comes to this area. I am so grateful to the entire staff at Tire Works here, specifically Paul who has graciously helped me each time something has gone wrong. Paul was patient, kind and not at all patronizing and went out of his way each time to assist me, explained the process(es) to me and helped me get financing in order to fix my car when I couldn't rub two dimes together. To anyone who is apprehensive about auto shops and car repairs, I feel you. It would be all too easy to take advantage of someone like me in this capacity because I have no idea how anything pertaining to cars works. I'm addition to also finding me the best price, every time I've had to come here, it's been on short notice and each time they did everything they could to fit me in despite the countless amount of people they had to see. Came here because I had a nail in my back tire! I pulled up and Danny was the one who helped me and he was very nice had great customer skills! He immediately told me that he would take a look at my car. There was no wait at all and he was very much willing to help! He than told me it would take around 15 minutes and that I could wait in the waiting room! The waiting room was very clean, nice and all new! There were water bottles, keruig kups and a clean area to watch tv to wait for your vehicle! I did not wait long at and Danny came in with my keys and said that there were in fact able to patch my tire on my range rover! I was so worried I was going to have to buy a new tire but I did not have to! Danny was very kind and helpful and there was no charge at all!
