Came in for a oil change. Have always used a different location, they did the oil along with a tire rotation . When I checked out I thought my bill was high, but with this inflation didn't fret it too much until I got home and realized they charged me for a tire rotation, I always get my tires from them. Free tire rotation with purchase. Then I didn't get any kind of parts service advisement afterwards. Proceeded to my car and noticed once on the road a very bad vibration in my steering , didn't have time to go back for further inspection . This should have been done in the beginning! Tires Plus is among the several commercial garages I know that offers "Lifetime Wheel Alignment Plans". I believe Pep Boys and Firestone are the other two shops. So why did I went with Tires Plus? I chose Tires Plus because of convenience and proximity. This location is the closest to me and additionally, it is one of the newest Tires Plus shops around. It never hurts either that they have the newest equipment. The staff is friendly and service is fast. Now let me get back at the whole "Limited Wheel Alignment" deal. If you are like me and are planning to hang onto your car(s) until its wheels fall off, then this is the plan to get. Most one time wheel alignments ranges from $60-100 anyways, so paying $100 more puts you in a spot where you do not have to pay for another wheel alignment, as long as you do not get rid of your car. So give it some thought. Maybe one day the universe will align for you, as well as your tires. read more

STAY AWAY! I have been a customer for many years since I live right down the street. However, recently they have made errors, and one could cost me my engine. First time, I had a flat tire. The person at the counter not only walked me outside to show him which one, but he marked it with chalk where the nail was and then later showed me a picture of it on their iPad. Wake up the next day and the tire was even more flat than it was. Had to go back up there and the manager gave me the run around saying my back tire was changed, what's the problem? The wrong tire was changed! The front one was flat! I also kept the tire the first time and they charged me a disposal fee both times. This second incident, I get my oil changed on a Friday. The Engine Pressure Warning Light has been on since that Saturday. Today is now Wednesday and I go to check my dipstick.... not ONE drop of oil is in there. It's completely empty! I now have to take my car up there again for them to fix their mistake before Thanksgiving. I don't know who they are hiring, but they are UNQUALIFIED and granted they may "fix" their mistakes, but their should never be mistakes when someone is driving a vehicle. That is their only way to & from work to make money. If I could give zero stars, they deserve that. I will never trust them to work on my vehicle again. There I was slipping and sliding in the cold rain on bald flats Saturday morning as I pulled into Tires Plus. I had known I was going to need some new tires for a while, but I was trying to make it as long as I could. I walked in expecting to be told they would not be able to replace my tires that day, but to my surprise they took me right then. They showed me a couple of options for new tires and we agreed on a set of Bridgestone tires. They took my truck back to replace the tires and do an alignment; getting me out the door in less than 2 hours. The price was fair; much cheaper than a dealership and on par with big box stores. But the service was great. They were friendly and kept me updated the whole time I was there. I will be returning for more services they offer in the future like oil changes, tire rotation, balancing, etc. They won my business! read more

Overcharged my wife for a simple service to replace a squeaky brake pad. Rotors were replaced relatively recently (15,000 miles or so) and they charged her $550 (after discounts) for new pads and said she needed new rotors. I am deployed so she went in with our kids and was clearly overwhelmed and they absolutely took advantage. Exact service at Toyota is advertised at $249 if it did need the level that tires plus stated. Absolutely outrageous and unprofessional. I cannot encourage you enough to stay away, especially if you are a woman. read more

Called to inquire about an oil change and asked if I should make an appointment. The manager on the phone told me to "come on in...we are not busy". I get there, wait in line for 20 minutes with only 2 people in front of me. The manager then tells me that I have to drop off the car as it won't be ready for several hours as there are other cars in front of me and that I have to make an appointment especially on a Saturday. The exact opposite of what I was told on the phone. After an exchange back and forth I left and will never go back to this business and recommend no one does... If I could give this place a zero I would. I will NEVER come back. I made an appointment for a simple oil change and break light change. 2.5 hours later it's done. I asked if the break light was checked, the technician said yes. Are you sure?? Yes. I get home and have someone check it and it's still out!!!!!!! 2.5 hours with an appointment and this is the MOST expensive oil change for high mileage sedan EVER. $90!!! That's $50 at Walmart auto and I specifically didn't go there because I needed a brake light!!!!!! Firestone is where I usually go. I only went here because it was closer. Never again. Firestone you are in and out in 45 minutes because they respect the appointment and are so.much.friendlier. No wonder this place has a bad rating. read more

Well here I am again had a little problem with a A/C repair. Did not get a complete story a few days ago, so the Titon is back in getting it all done correctly. Apparently there is a actuator in the dash that causes the vent doors to open or close on demand as needed as to direction of air flow is needed. Well it went bad, repair Did not realize it was the actuator and simply installed new clean cabin filter. So problem is being corrected today. Other then this problem no problem with Tires Plus and they will continue to service Maddy's Mustang and the Nisson. Wait for this to get done go eat. Yeaaa ! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! It's taking me a while to compose myself before writing this review and it will be relatively lengthy so please bear with me. To save some time we will just start after the trailer tire blowout and my wife calling this store and being told that there were 3 tires in stock for what we needed. After swapping out the questionable spare I had we limped 14 miles in the opposite direction of our original travel to get to this store. To be fair the guy who answered the phone did say they were a little busy and I would have to do much of the labor .. no problem. Once we arrived at the shop I pulled up in front but out of the way of techs and other customers. My wife goes inside to check in and I started to prep for the tire exchange thinking maybe I would be able to use at least an impact gun to expedite the process. Well this wasn't the case as my wife comes back out and tells me (per the counter guy Daniel) that I have to move everything around to the back of the store. Well it's their store so I pack it up and move it to the back parking lot and at the same time my wife informs me that they can only find 2 of the 3 tires we were going to buy. So now I have come to realize that I will be doing everything for this fix save the actual mounting of the tires. As you can see in the pictures I am using the truck scissor Jack and tire iron to jack the trailer and remove the wheels. (You'll notice that the trailer still has about 300-350 pounds of furniture loaded in it) I take one wheel off and take it and the blown tire around the store to have mounted. After waiting a short while I carry one mounted tire around back to put back on, reset the jack and start to remove the other tire (to use as the spare). This point Chris "tech" brings out the other tire for me to put on the trailer. While putting the first tire on I noticed that the valve stem cap was missing and could he bring me one. While I am attaching the second wheel Chris shows up and hands me the valve stem cap .... He couldn't just screw it on the other tire? I mean he had to actually bypass it to hand me the cap, literally! So using my scissor jack and tire iron I get the wheels put on the trailer WITHOUT being able to torque them to specs as I didn't have a torque wrench with me. Then we get everything picked up, put away and I change my shirt (only because it was 95* and maybe a touch more laying on the asphalt to do the install) but as we start to pull away and watching in my mirror something didn't look right with one of the tires. I stop the truck after a few feet, get out to inspect the tire only to discover a large sidewall bubble on the inside of the tire. I get back in the truck and drive around to the front of the store and knock on the door as they had just closed for the day. I inform Daniel what I had discovered and he comes out to look at the tire and agrees that it was a huge bubble. He then goes in to get Chris who comes out to look at it but he couldn't see it ... How can you not see that was my response. So Chris goes back inside while Daniel goes to look for the missing 3rd tire. Fortunately Daniel finds the tire and tells Chris to swap it out. So Chris goes in the bay, comes out with a 3 ton floor jack, an air line and an impact gun .... Really? Now we are using the right tools for the job? The whole job could have been done in 3 minutes vs an hour in 95* weather. Anyway Chris gets the tire mounted, puts it on the trailer, tightens it down then asks me what the torque specs are suppose to be .... WTH?! Keep in mind he kept having to ask his co-workers various questions about this job in order to complete it (torque specs, air pressure, etc)!! Finally we get through this process and back on the road after a couple of hours. Oh keep in mind only one tire had been torqued down to specs at 80inch pds. The only reason I have assigned 1 star is because they were at least friendly. Recap - Customer using only hand tools, in their parking lot doing the labor, in 95* weather, relying on a tech with only 4 months of OJT and no official training, no inventory organization, and still charging the customer full price (see photos at almost $200) for everything .... Oh and BTW I do hold a degree in automotive service and technology so I am fully aware how things were supposed to be handled. read more

I wasn't too thrilled to have to bring my car here but not because of anything they did wrong. I replaced all four tires on my car the week before at a different tire shop and by Thursday my front drivers side tire was flat. Me trying to be reasonable assumed that maybe I hadn't been as careful as I had thought and ran over something and now had a slow leak. Mind you I was out on the other side of town with friends having a much needed drink....anyway not to ramble on long story short there wasn't a slow leak I didn't run anything over the air valve was completely cracked. I called Tires Plus Friday morning to ask if it was possible for them to fix without having to come out more money for a new tire. The man on the phone advised yes and was supposed to set me an appointment when I told him "Put me down for 12:15 so I can get in on my lunch" and he said alright come on in and we'll get you taken care of. Fast forward to my lunch I get there and to my surprise no appointment set. So the man who is now helping says well the wait is about an hour to an hour and a half. Hey my lunch is only an hour so I tell him I'll have to come back when I get off and I'll be here at 5. I asked him how long it would take since I had to be somewhere at 7 and I needed to be gone no later than 630. He proceeds to say "You'll definitely be on your way before then I'll put you down and just come back we'll get you taken care of." I get off work, early might I add, and get to the place around 450. To my surprise no appointment . So I proceed to sit there until 7:12 when my car is finally ready. I would just like them to be more honest. If you aren't going to schedule something so that I can get in and out let me know. It upset me more missing other plans because the workers couldn't be up front and honest but they definitely did a good job with fixing what another shop messed up and I was able to get new windshield wipers on sale. read more

Don't waste your time. Customer service is horrible, there is only one dude there with any sort of decency or integrity. Can't even take my car for an oil change or a flat tire without it becoming a larger issue once inside, like all the sudden my car won't start after an oil change because someone tightened a cap onto wires...or a flat that comes back to me three days in a row "repaired" and is still flat within hours every time. Oh what a horrid experience in an already stressful day. Had a tire blow out while traveling on I-95 in Jacksonville FL. After calling around one of the Tire plus guys said their other store had 2 of my size tires. I call and talk to Daniel, he says yes they have two tires. So we take back streets and. Drive extreamly slow, as not to blow our spare. Almost 12 miles in the opposite direction than we are going. Upon arriving, Daniel says he needs to go see if they have the tires available. Comes back and says they only have one.. okay fine we can get home on one. Few minutes later, he finds a second one. I pay as my husband is putting the tires back onto the vehicle, as they did not have manpower to put them on or take them off. We needed them so we did it. Start to pull out, and my husband looks at tire, and it has a huge bubble in it. They did not even check to see if the tire was good when they let us take it out of the store. It is after closing at this point, but luckily someone was still there. Came out and at first said did not see a bubble, then could not deny it was there. He miraculously went in and found the third tire I was told they had.they ended up redoing it and changed it out. Husband was talking to the kid doing the work( Chris) to learn he had only been working there for four months and had zero official training. Had my husband not known what to look for, we could of been in the same spot but with no help farther down the road. We were charged for installation on both tires at 19.99 each , when all they did was mount them on the rim, husband did all the real work in 95 degree heat. They charged $100 for a diagnostic that ended up taking 10 minutes. Then tried to charge me $780 to fix some ignition coils that is an easy fix and can be bought online for $40 bucks each. I don't know if they just assumed I didn't know cars or what was going on but its offending that they tried to charge that much. He knew it too because as soon as i said that i would do it myself he didn't even try to argue. I'm also not 100% convinced they didn't screw it up the last time I went for an oil change because that's when the problems started. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES Do not waste your time with these folks, I recently had new tires that was sent by tire rack to them for installation. First the installation was not was stated by Tire Rack and I ended up paying almost $60 more for install and balance. Then the following day I notice that my tire pressure is dropping. I reach out to them and was told that I can bring the car back in. When I bring the car back in I explain to the service individual that I am loosing 15 psi of pressure and he tries to state that due to the cold temperature that it could happen (yeah ok don't try to play me stupid) he then checks the pressure on all tires and fills them up and tries to play it of like just a temperature issue and that the system needs to recalibrate. Update: 1/29/2019 I decided to bring the car back to another shop (not Tires Plus) and they look into the issue and found that it had a faulty stem valve. Do yourself a favor do not waste your time going to this location because they do not know what the hell they are doing and DO NOT SEND YOUR TIRES FROM TIRE RACK to them they will add more to the price then what tire rack states. If they did care about there customers they would have checked my tire when I brought the vehicle back and fixed the situation right there on the spot. read more

I have been a good customer of this store for a couple of years now, but it's over. Yesterday, I dropped off my wife's car for an oil change and TPMS service. I made sure that they had my TPlus credit card on file, as I was going to be out of town on Saturday. I told them my wife was the one picking up the car, and it was to be billed on my card. The employees were seemingly enjoying whatever glitches the credit card company was throwing on our account, as they gathered to look at the computer screen. I went later to pick it up, as my wife and daughter were thoroughly digusted and disrespected by this terrible behavior. Since the situation was not seen as unusual or disrespectful when I paid later, I understand a little more about customer service for mechanics. To be a good mechanic, you really need to be a "car guy". Car guys are usually the type who appreciate cars more than people. Bottom line, if you need a car guy to do work on your car, expect rude and disrespectful treatment from him (or her). It's not that they don't care, they just don't really relate to people as much as they do to cars. read more

Dropped my car off last Saturday at 2:30 to have a tire patched, the employee said they would call when it was ready. (This place closes at 6:00 PM on Saturday) A little concerned at 5:30 I still hadn't heard from anyone, so I had someone drop me off at the (Bartram Park) shop to find out that they hadn't even touched the vehicle and they said they could have it ready tomorrow (Sunday). What if I was just traveling through Jacksonville? Why didn't the character just say we "might not" be able to get to my car today? I wasted 3 plus hours for nothing. I would've ripped into the idiot but someone else was already on ripping the guy for doing work that he (the customer) didn't ask for or authorize. Recently moved to this area of town and wanted to avoid driving across town to our usual spot. That was certainly a mistake. I honestly cannot believe the service and the prices here. I could've gotten nearly two oil changes at the dealership for what they charged for one. Plus I was informed that I need 4 new tires despite having 2 that are less than 2 years old. I was told the tread measured the same on all 4 tires and when I asked how that's possible if 2 of the tires have ~20,000 miles while the other 2 have ~70,000. I was wanting to replace two but after being spoken down to by who I believe is the manager I won't be purchasing any tires from them. read more

At first I was disappointed with the diagnoses of my vehicle. I was told to take it back to the dealership because it was under factory warranty. After taking the time to do so, I was told everything was fine. The dealership also charges a diagnostics fee which is steep to just look over the vehicle. This was what made me the most upset. Much to my surprise I didn't have to pay and after contacting John the store manager of this Tires Plus location, he looked over my vehicle personally with one of his mechanics and allowed me to see inside to ensure everything came back okay. He was very personable, professional, and even gave me a free oil change for next time. His technician went above and beyond and left my vehicle looking brand new again. I will never be coming back to this place again! This is a three strikes and your out. Disclosure: everyone there gets paid a commission, even the mechanics so they are looking for stuff to do to your car Although not necessary. I took my car in to get 4 news tires, about $900 dollars total. After dropping my car off, I received a call back saying they had done a check and found I needed new back brake pads as well as an air filter and my 1 year battery needed to be replaced- the cranking power was going bad. My husband said that fine- change the brake pads but he wanted them to save them so he could see them. About 30 minutes later he got a call from the shop saying never mind about the brake pads- they were fine, someone misread them. Would have they gone ahead if and changed them if he didn't ask for them? After picking up the car, the tire pressure light was on- so we had to go back in and get it taken care of- do the job right the first time. The kicker- 3.5 days later, I got a call from the shop saying they had forgotten to put my new air filter in that I paid for!!!!! I was driving around Jacksonville with no air filter!!!! At least they refunded me for that. I then called John the manager and let him know my experience, honestly he could have cared less, all he did was apologize and say we are human too. Service Rep that took care of me deserves a 5***** rating. Unfortunately, the Store Manager, John Hays, deserves a 1* rating. Entering Tires Plus, on the front door is a sign: 'Masks required'. Everyone in the store, customers and employees, respected that requirement. Except John Hays, the Store Manager. He didn't even try and pretend to fake wearing a mask (by having one dangling from his neck). Totally disrespectful. After just a few minutes I could see why he didn't think wearing a mask should apply to him. He is arrogant and disrespectful, not only to the other employees, but condescending to customers. He insulted the Service Rep who was taking care of me, who by the way, was polite and conscientious. This location is convenient, and have been going there for awhile now. Brought in a loose rim and new tire to mount on it. Was told I had to leave it and come back or possibly wait several hours. On return, the bill seemed a little high: $29 total for mount and balance. Some shops will charge that just for simple mount and balance, but not TiresPlus... their rate should have been $19 - but instead, the service advisor crammed a $10 upcharge on my bill for a TPMS. So, now the spare tire on my 1999 Dodge RAM has a TPMS in it, I assume - maybe they didn't even bother to install it, I'll never know, and it's not worth my time to fight them about it. I hope the $10 upcharge was worth the bad reviews. As always: watch yourself in these places, their only goal is to maximize the amount of money they can get from you, and since they turn-over sales advisors on a regular basis, they don't give a damn about customer satisfaction. read more

I took my car for a tire replacement, the technician removed the engine air filter to check the condition and up sale a replacement and he didn't know how to put back the engine air filter and filter cover together. He tried for over 5 minutes, in the process getting frustrated and hitting the cover to force it in and breaking two of the three screws that hold the filter cover, leaving the filter and cover in the wrong position and loose with the last screw also loose. I was charged for alignment that wasn't done correctly and had to come back the next day to had it done a second time. They ordered the missing screw replacements. Also the technician put the car in sports mode to test drive it and floored the accelerator without any reason on a test drive, went over the speed limit, everything mentioned before is on video on the car dash cam. I only noticed the issue of the air filter cover missing screws and being left loose because I received notifications from the dash cam when the technician started hitting the cover to put it in place but no one from the shop said anything about this. The manager didn't take any responsibility over what was done to the car only said he was ordering the missing screws. If I didn't have a dash cam that sends these notifications and saw the video no one from this establishment would've said anything about what was done to the car. read more

So I called three tires plus this morning trying to do a walk-in. 1st one on San Jose (usual on I go too) lady answers phone I tell her what I need she tells me she can't do it today, understandable respect her honesty, 2nd one little farther away, Atlantic Blvd, but always provides good service. Call, man answers phone tell him my situation he asked type of vehicle, tells me bring it in he can get to me in about an hour. 3rd call because it is closer to my home I figured I would ask. Called guy answers phone I tell him my situation says bring in should be able to get you in. I get there check in, they ask if I was leaving it, I said no I will wait. So I get there pretty early 45 minutes another guy walks in same type of truck as mine ask for almost same services as I asked for, 30 min later I see his truck go by on the way to the rack (walk in also). I figure may because he didn't need an alignment they were knocking him out. His truck gets done, I'm there another 45 min guy asked what are you here for, I tell him the F250. He then tells me it will be a while and that he thought I told him I was dropping it off. No good sir I didn't tell you that because I told the guy that I actually gave my keys to that I would wait. This was after I sat there and waited and watched numerous people go in out. So I said if I don't get the alignment could you do it faster, no because he still needs the sam rack. Well why did the other guy go before me. He walked in just like me. Oh well I guess I should have read their reviews before I walked in. RIP OFF ARTIST ALERT!! Do not ever take your car here for anything and I mean anything because they will find problems with your car that don't actually exist. My 18 year old son needed a front end alignment on his car so he took it here and dropped it off to have the work done. A short time later he gets a call saying they are unable to do the work because he needs a new CV Axle, new rack and pinion, and engine mounts. All total they said it would be $2800 and they even asked him if the car had been wrecked because there was damage underneath. I can vouch for the car never having been wrecked and have a car fax to prove it. They just made that up to explain why the rack and pinion needed replacing I guess. The CV Axle I knew at some point would need replacing so I understood that part but what I didn't understand was the other $2,200 worth of work they claimed needed to be done. I told my son to go get the car and we'd take it to a real mechanic. Well that real mechanic just called me and said yes it needs a new CV Axle but that's it. His exact words were, "I have no idea why they tried to say the other stuff needed to be done other than they saw a young kid drop the car off and tried to rip him off". So all total I'll spend $600 for the work and that's including the CV Axle, front end alignment, oil change and brake fluid flush with labor included. These clowns at this location are con artists and based on the other lousy reviews they're not good at much of anything other than making people angry. They were going to do $2800 worth of work to a young kids car that didn't need it! I would call them but seeing the other comments about how lousy the manager is I didn't bother. I didn't assume they'd care but they just might by the time I'm doing making some calls. Ironically enough my co-worker's wife is one of the news anchors at Channel 4 so I'll have them pass this along and see what can be done to let others know how bad this place is. I'll never use Tires Plus for so much as an oil change from now on after this experience. I wonder how many people they've ripped off for work that didn't actually need to be done? There should be something more that can be done other than leaving a bad Yelp review so I'm calling the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint. I may even see if there's anyone with the State of Florida I can notify about their business practices as well. They tried to take advantage of an 18 year old kid for over $2,000 worth of unnecessary work so that tells you all you need to know about this place.
