I was going to get a $900+ job on my car and it was going to take a while. So my mom came and picked me up. She asked one of the techs to put air in her tire and they told her they'll help in a minute. Then the same guy who told her that came back a minute later and told her, "that's something you should teach your son." Not only did he disrespect me he disrespected my mom too, and that's not cool. My mom went to talk to the manager and he was rude as well with my mom. So I decided that they don't deserve the credit for doing a $900+ job so I pulled my car out and went to San José's location where they actually have a decent way of treating their people. Totally don't recommend going to this location if you dislike being disrespected. They won't be getting my money lol read more

I was leaving Zoe's on Bartram Park In Jax, yesterday on my way down town and when I'm getting ready to pull out of the parking lot, a man stops and tells me to look at my rear tire. It was flat as a pancake. I looked around to see where I could get some air and I "Luckily" saw there is a Tires Plus in the same parking lot. It's about 4:50 when I walked in and an older couple was talking to the man at the counter. He told them to call back in tomorrow. When it was my turn, i explained that I had a flat and asked him to take a look. He walked out to my car and said he could help because his machines are already shut off and his guys are going home. WHAT? I asked if he could just air it up, or worse case put the donut on. NO We are closing in a few minutes, my machines are down and it would take 30 minutes to bring them up and I have paperwork to do. He then said to "call my insurance company" ... REALLY? read more

A 100+% mark up for a part is ridiculous. This place tried charging me $700 for a part I found in 2 mins on RockAuto.com for $335 (EXACT same manufacturer and part#). Of course, they also refuse to install a customer's part, so I'll be finding another mechanic who'll likely do the work for less than their quote of $270 for labor. read more

Shop gave 3 hour wait time but when I showed up to pick up car it took an additional hour. Person at desk was extremely rude and condescending. I witnessed multiple people who were provided incorrect time frames request their keys back which made the MANAGER voice his frustration loud enough for every one to hear in the lobby. VERY VERY VERY unprofessional. I will never bring my car here again. You would think that they would try to be more accommodating and stick to time frames. read more

This Tires Plus location and ALL other Tires Plus service centers that I have I dealt with over the past 20 years have always been courteous and performed quality work. There are many choices for car care in JAX and if you find one that is reliable, stick with them. As for the Bartram location specifically, John and Robert are both knowledgeable and willing to work with you. Reading some of the other reviews on this location could steer someone wrong. This place is designed to screw you. Last month I had my brakes replaced and the tech Shawna was clueless. She offered a credit card option and tried to upsell a credit card with 28% interest stating "it's 6 months no interest if you pay it off in 6 months. If you take longer it's not too much, only 28-30%. Not bad at all." I had to call and get an update and the status of my car 4 different times. I asked them to change my headlight that I purchased as well and I was told it was done and it's still sitting in my middle compartment. Shawna flat out lied. Last night my car overheated and unfortunately I live close and it was the only place open. Having 4 kids it's not an option to go without a car for long. My brother and I checked the car and the pressure was where it needed to be. It seemed like a fan or compressor and I relayed that message to them. Today they check the AC for $21, then tell me it's not the AC and to figure the problem they'll need an additional $130 to tell me what is wrong with the fans. I will NEVER. EVER. Go to this place again. Build a store up by earning trust in the community, not by ripping people off and attempting to take their hard earned money without any resolutions. They have lost my business forever and I will make sure everyone I know does not take their car to this location at Bartram Park. Shawna needs to not be behind a counter and management needs to figure out how to serve their customers more efficiently. read more

so here's the thing. I've been a customer with Tire Plus for years. I could once give them a great rating. Now, Eek! I've use the Bartram store twice. Once with a reserved appointment. I arrived an hour earlier than the scheduled appointment to still be sitting there without my car ever being moved, a hour after my initial appointment. Needless to say, I left. I had a recent appointment for an inspection of my breaks. My car was moved around to the bay area. I decided to take a little stroll. My car was sitting on the ground behind a car that was in the bay up on the rack. A gentleman walked up to me as I was standing there and firmly asked if he could help me. I pointed to my vehicle. He stated the information of their findings were being entered into the system. I asked him how when my car is still sitting on the ground. He stated my spoks were large enough that they could see through to the breaks. My husband was on the phone at the time, and I asked him if he'd ever heard of such thing. My husband and I agreed to get my vehicle. Upon waiting in the lobby, I imagine they thought I was going to pitch a fit. I asked for my keys and stated to the (sales gentleman who by the way tried to charge me 29.99 for the inspection, though I'm a long standing customer) that I needed my keys so that I want waste anymore of their time. Out from the back comes charging a gentleman (right up to my face) and stated there is nothing wrong with my breaks. (I imagine at this point they couldn't very well say there were). He continued to follow me out to the bay where my vehicle was and another customer was standing. (Who also seemed a bit concerned about the work she had done). Repeating the same about my breaks. I feel as though he didn't want me to share my concerns. When this store first opened I thought it was going to be terrific, Matured gentlemen, now younger men. I left the San Jose /Sunbeam store because the young man that always gave me great service had gone off to school when Lou decides telling me I need things my car did not need, based on what I took it there for. However, he did return part of the monies, but left me 200.00. (When two of his mechanics says my car is in great shape). Has my faith in Tiresplus been lost. Certainly it has. I want be cheated out of unnecessary cost. I don't know if these men work on commission, but their practice is deceitful. read more

I dropped my car off for service in the afternoon on a Saturday, they said they were too busy to fit me in but they would handle my oil change on Sunday. Then decided to call me to tell me that I had to upgrade my oil change to a full synthetic, or my engine was going to start knocking. Also told me my air filters were very dirty and needed to be replaced. I just had the filter replaced 3 months ago at my last service. I joined Yelp just to leave this review. This location is either managed by scam artists or they allow their employees to treat the customers in a very seedy fashion. I took my wife's car in to get a nail removed and tire plugged. Asked what year the car was (I couldn't remember) told them it was a 2012. Fast forward to 1.5 hours later and I walk down the bays to see what is taking so long. The car is up on the rack, hood open and no sign of tire work having been done. Ask an employee why the hood is up. Answer: We do complimentary inspections on all cars. Me: Don't want that, just fix the tire. Answer: Your tires are so dry rotted, I can't even get it off the rim. I've been beating it with a shovel(?) with no success. You'll have to replace the tire. Me: Tires are not that old. Purchased tires at Costco not that long ago. Answer: They are the original tires, purchased in 2012 (hmmm...same date as I made up earlier) Me: Get the car off the rack and thanks for wasting my time Took the car later in the week to Discount Tires on Philips and Baymeadows. This is the place you should be and not giving any business to these shysters. Discount Tire employee walked out to the car with me, examined each tire carefully, measured tread depth and explained that the dry rot is superficial and they repaired and rotated the tires for free. AVOID!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! If I could give this store ZERO stars I would!! The manager John is extremely rude and talks over you and argumentative. My daughter needed a plug and went here because it was close. They patched the tire and charged her $32 and told her several other things needing to be fixed. The same day the tire lost more air so she took it back that very afternoon. They said the person that fixed it messed it up and the only choice she had was to purchase a new tire. My husband called and discussed this nonsense with them and they agreed to replace it for free and needed a manager to sign off on it. The next morning my husband spoke with the manager and all of the sudden the tire could be fixed. I am not trusting this management and will be driving her car for a couple days to make sure they didn't sabotage it in some way. A few hours later we returned to pick up her car. On Friday, October 27th, 2017, my wife brought her 2008 Mercedes Benz C350 Sport to the Bartram Park location of Tires Plus knowing that she needed and oil change plus brakes, pads, and rotors. She spoke with Robert, who convinced both of us she needed all new tires and an alignment, and we paid $1200 for the services. We did not purchase the recommended brake fluid flush or cabin air filter replacements because her car had a brake fluid flush and filter replacement 8 months prior. On Sunday, October 29th, 2017, with less than 20 miles on the new tires, the car gave a 'critical tire malfunction error' warning while going 60mph on 9B and her front driver's side tire exploded. Thankfully I was in the car with her when it happened, and we managed to get the car off of the road safely and the tire changed to her spare. We took the car back to Tires Plus to see what happened, and Colby told us that the mechanic who put on the new tire pressure monitoring system with the new tire didn't correctly mount it, and the cylindrical force behind a tire with a mis-mounted TPMS caused it to fly off on the underside and destroy the tire. We managed to have the tire replaced , but we were told multiple times that we were lucky we had a warranty on the tire, or else it wouldn't have been covered. Yes, to reiterate that - the admitted incompetence of the mechanic hired and paid by Tires Plus would have cost US another $200 if we didn't purchase the 'warranty'. Moving on - we have the tire replaced, my wife drives the car home. On Monday, October 30th, 2017, the car takes three tries to start in the morning before work (on a car that has never hesitated the roll over before), and six full minutes after work at 5pm to get started. We also noticed that her clock had been reset to default 00:00, but didn't think anything of it until the next day (when things got worse). On Tuesday, October 31st, 2017, the car would not start at all. We attempted to use jumper cables to no avail, the entire electrical system was shot. The car has never had an issue turning over, and the tests that Tires Plus did on the battery BOTH times it was there states that the battery is in good condition, which we confirmed with an independent test. I don't know what Tires Plus did to my wife's car, but I was so over it at that point that we went and bought her a brand new car rather than dump more money into a car we feel was sabotaged. read more

I literally hate coming here. I haven't even had any work done because every time I've come in they try to screw me. My check engine light came on (they supposedly offer a free check for that), but kept trying to push a $30 full diagnostic on me that I didn't want, and wouldn't just check my engine light. I had to go in a second time because they are supposed to offer a free visual inspection (I only needed to know how worn my brake pads are so I can replace them) and AGAIN they tried to push the diagnostic on me! I've been given misinformation and terrible service, and try to avoid this place like the plague since they're so dishonest. read more

Do yourself a favor and get your service done somewhere else. Brought my vehicle in for a problem I was having. I spoke with the manager and suggested what I thought was the problem. Instead of being the expert and asking me questions and performing a diagnostic. They perform a service that does not fix the problem then performs a diagnostic after the service they performed didn't solve my problem. They then have the audacity to make it seem like it's my fault and to top it all off they said they don't fix the problem I have at their location and I would have to take it to a dealership. Great Service, Competitive Pricing, wouldn't bring my truck anywhere else! I have brought my truck in several times for damaged tires and routine maintenance. I have also had them do diagnostics when the dealership could not find the cause of electrical issues and other problems covered under my warranty that they did not want to fix because it "did not show up on their test". I have had the same mechanic working on my vehicles since they opened and would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest garage. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I tool a perfectly fine Yukon Denali there to have a new tire put on and lefts with a dashboard full of sensor warnings and was told they were on when I got there and I brought in a flat tire. My tire had a nail in it and was not flat. I made a decision to replace it do to potential problems in the future. There was NO air leaking from the tire. The manager was very rude and told me he was not going to "Debate" with me and insisted that I had TPM issues before I got there and wrote it on the receipt. The (female) service tech witness the day before the tire and dash reading a declared no problems. The (male) service tech that took it in today would not say that the tire was not flat. He allowed the manager to continue with the story and did not correct the matter. I was shocked at the amount of foolery playing out in front of me. The store manager told me to take it back to my dealership for resolution after messing up my vehicle. Total dishonesty and terrible customer experience.
