I went to this tire shop this morning to have a nail removed from one of my tires. I had been here previously for the same issue and had a good experience, which is why I chose to return. The first gentleman I spoke with was polite and helpful. After my car was taken to the back, another employee called me to the counter and explained that the tire could not be patched and would need to be replaced. I was okay with that. While he was giving me a quote, I was trying to reach my husband, who was in a work meeting across town, to make sure he agreed with purchasing a new tire. Since I couldn't get ahold of him right away, I told the employee to go ahead and order the tire. A few moments later, I was able to speak with my husband, and he decided not to move forward with purchasing the tire. I immediately let the employee know and asked him to cancel the order and put my spare tire on instead. At that point, his attitude changed noticeably. He became irritated and repeatedly said, "This is what your wife told me to do," to my husband over the phone, as though he was unwilling to respect our decision to cancel the order. I understand it may have been frustrating to cancel after initially agreeing, but I had not paid for anything, and I informed him as soon as we made our decision. He then told me I would have to wait while my spare tire was installed, which I completely understood. However, when my car was finally ready, he called me to the counter, tossed my keys and paperwork toward me without acknowledging me, and said nothing else. I had to ask, "Am I good to go?" before he simply replied, "Yep." No explanation was given about the work that had been completed or anything I should know before leaving when the paperwork clearly stated an inspection of some sort had been done. While I appreciate the helpfulness of the first employee, the second employee's behavior left a very negative impression. I understand that plans sometimes change, but customers should still be treated with professionalism and respect. We have since scheduled an appointment with Discount Tire where the same tire is cheaper and the customer service is leaps and bounds better. read more

Well. I can't say anything negative as they repaired my tire and they did it correctly. My issue is I made an appointment and told them I was on my lunch break. Was told it would take too long but I was there for an hour and a half. Sadly I didn't realize it would take that long. They were professional and kind, but I wish they would have told me how long it would take. All in all they did their job well. read more

All the staff here has been super friendly and helpful. They are typically very busy and so even if you have an appointment they make run a bit late, but just think there are more safe vehicles on the road after they are finished. There's a plus since Culver's, Salsa's, Grumpy's and 168 Thai and Sushi are right here within walking distance! You won't go hungry while you wait. Also, they have a drop off key box for after hours, we have many times had to drop off a vehicle after hours and call them in the morning to explain the problem. It was brought to my attention waiting for the oil change completion, the tech noticed a brake squeaking sound. Turned out my rear brakes needed cleaning. While waiting I stood at their clear glass door to kill time while waiting several hours for 2 tires. This is where a few of the employees made it very apparent that they don't like to have customers watch what they are doing. One even yelled across the shop saying "I have an impatient Grandma" then looked directly at me. While another one said to the other one that you have someone watching you and looked back at me and it looks could kill, I would be dead. Such unprofessional conduct from a business where it's nice to know what they are doing with your vehicle. If you don't want paying customers to see what your staff is doing, don't put windows and a glass door to the shop. I will never go back to have anything done in fear of now retaliation because I made it known to the manager on duty this issue. read more

I hate getting anything done with my car because I feel like as soon as I walk into someplace, they know how little I know about cars. After a particularly bad experience at the Tires Plus on Fleming Island, I was hesitant to try another location but I had a $25 voucher and needed an oil change. I wish I knew the name of the man who helped me but I'm willing to bet he is the only Australian (or was he from New Zealand? oops!) working in the store. I had used their online appointment making program (which is great) so when I came in he went over what I was in for. When I showed him that I had a voucher because of a previous experience he asked if he could ask what had happened for me to end up with it. I told him the short version and even though it didn't even happen at this store, he seemed genuinely apologetic. The store has a tv and small waiting area and the oil change was quick and painless. I had a backup light out but figured they would charge some insane amount to fix it. It turned out to be something like $7 to fix so I had them do it. I didn't feel like I was being pushed to buy products or services I didn't need. A surprisingly great experience! read more

I had some tires install which were purchased through Tirebuyer.com. TirePlus is an affiliated installer. As soon as I realized that they had no idea who or what TireBuyer.com is, I knew the installation experienece would be subpar. The bad experience started with TirePlus trying to add another $24 for new TIPM sensors on a vehicle that is less than two years old. Yes, please replace my perfectly good sensors which have a 5 - 7 year lifespan, I think not. Second, once the service guy/advisor saw what they would be getting for installation (about $70) I got shoved to the bottom of the list. Though quoted the standard "about an hour" and even though they have 59 minute installation guaranteed for in stock tires (as these were at this point) it still took them almost two and a half hours to get them installed. When I asked about the guarantee, they summarily dismissed me saying that "your only paying xxx anyway." I watched several other customers arrive well after me and leave well before I did. I'd probably drive on a flat before visiting this installer again. read more

Tires Plus will rip you off everytime. Guaranteed. I have bought tires from them in the past, and had a decent experience. Recently I had a wheel bearing in my truck go out a few weeks ago. Normally for work I take my truck to the dealership that I bought it new from, and I actually had an appointment the following day there to do this work. On the way to work the wheel bearing sounded too dangerous so I had no choice but to pull in and have it done at Tires Plus. I called the dealer to cancel my appointment ( cuz I couldnt make it that far) and they told me that Tires Plus should not charge me more than 400.00, because thats what the dealer would charge with a Mopar part. I left my truck there with my wife, as I had to get to work. Tires Plus ended up charging 480.00 total, charging us 100.00 more for the aftermarket part than the manufacturers part. Also, they tried to get my wife to pay for 2 new tie rods, claiming the ones I had were bad. They were full of it because those were BRAND NEW that the dealer installed three months prior. The price they gave to my wife was again more than I paid the dealer to put them on. My advise to you - for Tires Plus, do Tires Only. I doubt their mechanics could really be trusted to do much more. read more

Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. I made an appointment for 8am (probably the first and only appointment they had), showed up a few minutes early and dropped off my Nissan Altima to have 4 new tires put on. They said it would be an hour to and hour 1/2. 2 hours later and my car is still sitting on a lift with the tires removed and nobody is even touching it. They then approach me with a plethora of work they recommend I have them do to my car quoting me thousands of dollars. I decline, and my car continues to sit on the lift for another hour. We're now 3 hours into the appointment they are finally putting the tires back on. I'm watching them through the window lazily screwing on my bolts by hand. They are completely incompetent. As a last dig they recommend they do an alignment (mind you there is NOTHING wrong with the alignment of my vehicle). Apparently it takes 3 hours for 8 people to change 4 tires. I've never been more dissatisfied with the customer service I received here. Don't waste your time. read more

We had the worst experience at this tires plus. There is poor customer service and they are not upfront on pricing. We recently came in to purchase two tires as well as have our AC looked at. They ,"fixed" the AC for $120 which actually dis nothing and still tacked on $50 for Freon. We asked for a quo5e on tires and was given the price which did not include tax and fees. This would be fine but the customers should be aware that was not the final price. We have always used big chiseled in the past but decided to try Tires Plus since they were close. We will never use them again and I would recommend Big Chief to anyone else in need of tires read more

I've bought 2 sets of tires from this location because they were a little cheaper than the other shops and they are closer to my house. So far they have been pretty good to me. If I go when it's busy it does take a while, but that's to be expected. They let me know if there is maintenance that should be done based on mileage but they don't push me to get it done right then, or even with them. If it's something that I can do myself they will even recommend places to find the parts. Over all I've been satisfied with my experience with this Tires Plus. I have been to several shops that were not so great so it's nice finding one that's not too bad to work with. read more

Took my 2000 Accord in for an oil change. Car is meticulously maintained. I know 100 percent that there are no oil leaks on this car. I have had the car for almost 20 years, and i was a mechanic at a local Acura dealer when I bought it. I After the oil change the manager included a quote to repair the oil leak. I laughed about it saying that I know there isnt one. I get the car home and the next morning there is a golden puddle on the driveway under the car. There was never any used oil leaking or there would have been a darker spot too. Nope, just new golden oil all over the driveway. I opened the hood and the front passenger side bolt on the valve cover had been loosened. The only bolt visible without removing the plastic cover. It was obvious that a socket had been on it. I re tightened the bolt and even checked the torque on the rest of them for good measure. The rest were fine. No more oil leak. Honestly i took it there because it costs almost the same than if i do the oil change myself. I guess thats what i get for being lazy. I will never again take my car to another Tires Plus. This is the second time they did something like this to me, I will be doing my own work from now on. Do yourself a favor and take your car ANYWHERE except Tires Plus. read more

2011 I went on for a simple oil change and two New tires on my 2010 jeep Patriot. got the tires and oil change ok but they asked if I wanted my transmission serviced I said ok. They put the wrong fluid in and ruined the tranny. To be fair they did replace the transmission at no Cost to me. But the inconvenience was overwhelming as I was leaving that night for a CHRISTMAS in nyc with family. read more

We took our vehicle here to see what was causing the noise. They said it would be 30 minutes before they could look at it. So I picked my husband up so he didnt have to wait. They told him they would call with the issue before fixing it. After 2 hours I drove by, for a different store, and my vehicle was sitting in the same spot. My husband called to see what was going on. They told him "they were test driving it now" & would get a hold of him afterwards. Another hour went by & we didn't hear. So we drove over to check on it & pick it up since we didn't hear from them again. At this point it was on the lift with the tires off. The mechanic told my husband what the issues was & said it would be at least an hour. My husband verified the phone number & they confirmed the call after it was done. Another 2 hours went by & still haven't heard from them. We called and they acted like it's been done a long time & they were waiting on us. A total of 5 hours for them to check our vehicle & not one minute of communication. I understand they are busy but the lack of communication & the rudeness we received is unacceptable. read more

Place is trash. Went there to get my tires check out. Did all the paperwork and thy told me one hour wait just to look at my car. I said fine no problem, I went got some subway and when I came back 15 minutes later, they told me they had to take someone in front of me that came after i went to get food. I asked them how pep boys was across the street and dude started bashing them. You never bash your competitors. Only shit mechanics need to bash someone to feel better. Go to Sun Tire on Blanding. Dude's name is Glen. He threw my car on the lift even though he was jammed just to check it out. Told me to buy the parts and do it myself if i can. Real honest guy who isn't trying to screw you!
