Made an appointment to get my brakes replaced, and was in and out in less than 2 hours. They included a 16 point inspection and gave me a quote on how much the other work would cost, which I declined. Chic-fil-a, Grumpy's, Walmart, Home Depot and Lowe's are all within walking distance if you get bored waiting. I bought my tires two years ago, only drive two and from work, 10 miles each way. My tires are shot. Come to find out the pep boys has changed their policy about tire rotation. They don't mention it to customer when getting an oil change, you have to ask. You get free rotation if you bought your tires there, but you still have to ask. I didn't know the change. I brought my car in for oil change and checking the fluids. I had an 11:00 an appointment 11:42 and it's not done, because they still taking online appointments and walk ins ahead of me. Will NEVER come back here. I highly recommend going somewhere else, even if it seems convenient, believe me, it is not. They did fine work once, but then the next time I went with a MUCH bigger job their guys didn't communicate and cost me money fixing problems they didn't have to. $3,800 and I was told everything was fixed. Drove it away and found that half the things I had mentioned to their guy on the initial inspection weren't fixed. Went back and the tech who did the work (which was fine work, no complaint there) told me he was never given full details of the problems. Whether that's true or not, the end result was the same. It was money I could only afford to pay once, and I needed the problems fixed. I don't know how much of what I spent was on replacing things that weren't the problem, but now I have to pay money I don't have to go get them fixed again. Somewhere else, not here. read more

The only positive thing about this place is that my car didn't break down after using their services. The entire experience felt like a mistake. From start to finish. Customer service was terrible, then out of curiosity I watched the technician perform the maintenance. Over 90 percent of the time the technician was scrolling their phone instead of working on the car. I witnessed them spill coolant fluid all over my engine bay. Zero attempts were made to clean any of it up. Like I said the only positive thing was that they didn't damage my vehicle during maintenance. read more

I should have believed all the bad ratings but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We took our truck in because the air conditioner wasn't working. They charged us $300 told us they evacuated the Freon put it back in checked for leaks and we had no leaks. Three weeks later we've had to put Freon in it twice and when I called them today they said to make another appointment. We'll just have to start all over. You should've brought it back in. We always tell people to bring it back in right away they never told us we needed to bring it in right away. We just thought they didn't fill it up well enough. read more

Awful service. I requested a Free AC check as shown on their website thinking it would take 30 mins. I have been here for 3 and a half hours. I brought this up to a employee and he argued with me and told me repeatedly i was just wrong. I asked for my car back so I could leave ASAP and I was told they will when they are done. No I want my car now. Never coming here again. Terrible value. Terrible service. Terrible Timing. Overall just Awful. read more

Came in for a tire rotation that was *FREE*, which was awesome, I didn't know they offered that service as I was ready to pay something. I came on New Year's Day at 10AM for my appointment and there was nobody there and I was in and out in maybe 30-40min, if that. The guys there were super nice and told me after that I didn't need new tires just yet, but when I did, they had printed me out a quote just in case I decided to go to them. I love how close they are to where I live and think it's a pretty nice, new establishment. Their waiting area has free wi-fi with a sweet TV and comfy chairs :) read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PEP BOYS! We brought our Jeep wrangler there for an alignment, tire rotation and balance as we have paid for the lifetime service for this. We dropped it off at 11am which was the time of appointment. We drive past at 2pm and the jeep had not moved! That had me kinda curious. But I was thinking they may have just completed it and parked in the same spot. Got a notification at 235pm that it was complete. Got there and the Jeep was in a new spot. So now I'm. More curious cause no way it only took 35 minutes to do all that. So I went in to get my keys. They said they didn't have a printout of the alignment cause they are out of ink in the printer. Hmmmm ok. I asked, "All 5 tires were balance and rotated? Yes. Ok and was the alignment off? Very slightly but we adjusted it and are all good to go." awesome great. Get out to the Jeep and look at the spare and it is still the brand new one.... So it wasn't rotated. Checked the other 4 and I had noticed some spots on the wheels from trails and what not. They never rotated anything! So I went in and said hey it wasn't rotated. He checked with the mechanic and he said the balance and rotation was not done! Ughhh Wtf! Then we head home and the jeep is still pulling to the right same as before! They didn't do a damn thing to the Jeep! They literally just moved it so it would look like it was done and then told me everything was done! Seriously! Then got an email with the courtesy inspection and these idiots put N/A for all the inspection points! So they did nothing! And tried to have me leave thinking all the work was done! They will never have my vehicles ever again! And as we are speaking with corporate I hope that manager and the mechanic get fucking fired! I will be spreading the word to the Jeep community here that is very large not to go there. Hope you like losing customers!! read more

The day prior to bringing my car in I found that I needed to replace all four of my tires and also needed a wheel alignment. I had a blowout while driving down Kingsley when I was heading home from work because my tires were so bad. Only one of the tires actually blew out but the others weren't far behind and would have failed if I hadn't brought it in this morning to get them done. (11/2/17). For 4 new tires and the wheel alignment in addition to the 3-month alignment warranty I paid $405 which is about what I expected altogether. When I dropped my car off the guy said it would be about 1.5 hours, which was indeed about how long it took and he gave me a call. Overall the work was done well and I'm highly satisfied with it. Now to why I gave 3 stars instead of 5. When I first spoke with the guy he wasn't very personable and he was very dismissive. An example is when I was trying to explain to him what I needed in terms of which tires to do, he said something along the lines of "we'll figure it out" and went out to the garage. Not long before I left he came back in and asked about which tires needed to be worked on, which again is what I was trying to explain before. At that point I informed him which tire to take off but to leave intact as it was my spare and where the tire that had a blowout was in my car. Back in February 2020 I had to get my brakes done--squeaking and metal scraping sound--so I went into Pep Boys, the guy who was managing was decently professional. Got the brakes done and asked how much it could cost to fix my actuator in my dash (it sporadically made a clicking sound, car off or on)! At the time I did not have the funds to get that fixed, so I told him I would be back in a month or so.... He quoted me at least $275 for the parts and some labor It had to get done regardless, so I saved up! Fast forward to Monday May 4th, 2020, I got in touch with them and ended up making an appointment to have them go in and tell me which actuator needed replacing--yes the other guy did not make a note on my account at ALL. Ahmmed was super professional, he explained to me that it wasn't the actuator itself (an expensive part to replace) but that in fact it was the part inside that is controlled by one of the dials on my dash (ac/heat)! 1-I was glad he took the time to explain that 2-he didn't talk to me like most men do when talking to women about the mechanics of a vehicle 3-he suggested a parts store that had my exact need in stock! I went and grab the part for less than $40, made an appointment for the next day to drop my car and the part off the next day. I rolled out of there spending less than $140.00!!! IF you want to get technical, I spent a total of $170.00 or less getting my car fixed by the team now there at Pep Boys with Ahmmed as their lead; the other guy quoted me $275+ Suffice it to say, if you had a lackluster experience in the past, call and ask if Ahmmed and his team are there, you will NOT be disappointed! On a road frip out of state my car had hesitation. My sister called pep boys for my car to be seen upon my arrival. I knew as did they in conversation, i had a bad coil pack. At the end of the day they called to advise they could not diagnose which coil needed replaced and that i had a tire separating. This was $1000. As i know you can change only one coil, i knew this was a dishonest quote. Expected a new tire, but when went to pick up truck no tire was available. I Was told to pay $70 for this diagnosis. Straight to discount tire and i had four good tires. No seperation. All false incorrect info. I must look like a silly little lady from out of town with money to spend. Sorry guys. Lucky i know cars. Went in for a oil change. Got the mobile 1 fully synthetic oil change. After about two days I noticed oil in my garage after I had backed out. I went under the vehicle to discover the technicians at this shop can't be bothered to put the oil drain plug more than finger tight. I could back the bolt out with my fingers. That is not acceptable when I've paid almost 100 dollars for a oil change and for them to not torque my drain plug on what is most people's second biggest investment. I will not be returning to this location for any service. This shop has made me realize I need to be found my own oil changes from here forward. I do not recommend this location to anyone. read more
