Was told it would take 30m to put one new tire on my car. I brought my car in, and then waited 45 minutes just to see the a mechanic "Jacob" standing underneath my car without a single tire off. I asked the guy at the front desk what he is doing and he replies "He is probably just doing a inspection".. Except I never asked for a inspection, I asked for one of my tires to be replaced which they were not even touched. Got a really bad vibe from this place and do not trust they take care of your car. I'm sure Jacob was trying to either create, or find problems to up charge me on as I NEVER once asked for a inspection. I told them to lower my car immediately and I left without hesitation. On top of that, they do not put anything on your seats to protect them from their dirty clothes, keychains or keys from scratching the seats. Wouldn't recommend to anyone! This place gave us a quote on new tires which included installing them, balancing, ALIGNMENT and taxes. We scrupulously reviewed what was included when obtaining the quote. Then - when we arrive to their shop - the price increased and alignment was no longer included. If making a call to set up a quite from these crooks, I recommend you get an email in writing ahead of time. I've now been sitting here for hours hoping they don't screw my car up. Horrible service, probably one of the worst shops "Tire's Plus" has in south Florida. I needed a tire plugged for a screw in the tire. Was told to leave car overnight so the mechanics could get to it first thing in the morning. The following day I called around 12 in the afternoon for an update, was told they hadn't gotten to it but assured me by 5 pm I would be good to go. Fast forward to 7pm (closing time) repair still wasn't done. The response I got from manager was "sry can you leave it again overnight". I woke up in the morning and discovered a nail in my tire, I called this location to make an appointment to get it fixed following my shift at work and was told no appointment was necessary. I showed up at 530pm and was told they couldn't help me because a mechanic had called in sick. Keep in mind they were open for another 90 minutes and there was only one other customer. They tried to send me to their sister location (Firestone) and even called them for me, but eventually I was told to call them myself because they weren't answering. I called them on my way to that location and was told a manager would call me back. I ended up going to Tire Kingdom, walked it at 6pm and was out 40 minutes later having only spent $11 to fix what ended up being 2 tires. I've been a loyal customer for years but no more, from here on out I'll be headed to Tire Kingdom. read more

Brought my car in for a flat repair and tire rotation. They told me my car was ready. Went out to check it, tires we not rotated. They told me they didn't see it on the work order. (There were only two things). Said they would rotate the tires. Took 10 minutes. Brought my car back out with my steering wheel covered in greasy hand prints. Also, while waiting for my car, overheard the sales man explaining to a girl that she need to replace her air filter with her spark plugs or they wouldn't work. They have nothing to do with each other. They were just padding the bill. read more

We brought our car in for some planned repairs and found out that our radiator had a crack in it and would cost $600 just for the radiator, for a total of $1500. We had our vehicle checked by another shop and they were able to do 80% of the repairs (determining that the other 20% wasn't necessary anyway) for just over $600 including a new radiator. They mechanic said that tires plus was charging extra labor for each specific thing, even though they would have already done the work for other things. Went into this location as I had a nail in my tire. I was processed and told to wait. I waited one hour just so they could tell me they could not fix my tire. It was OBVIOUS as the nail was on the side of the tire. A quick glance at my tire would have been all that was necessary. They DID NOT have a tire in stock to replace mine but offered to order one. What a colossal waste of time. To top it off the chap who checked me in decided he didn't like the TV show we were watching in the waiting room and came in and said he was putting on a movie. I took in my 1993 Corvette Lt1 40th Anniversary edition with 95700 miles for engine that was running rough at stop lights and engine vibration. They did a complete automobile evaluation and determined I had leaking valves (oil was saturating the spark plugs) and the motor mounts were rotted. They also changed fluids, oil and filter and installed new motor mounts that had to Special ordered. The Total cost with parts and labor was $ 1253. When I took possession of car 5/4 it drove better than the day I purchased it in April 2008! Kudos to Jeremy the technician that took the time to fix the car right and not rush for the same day turnover when in this case, that was going to impossible. read more

If you add my one star review to the 51 count total, the result is this location has a 69% failure rating. Never received confirmation for my online appointment. Went there the next day to inquire. Was told my appointment was approved. Just one car was in the service bays when I arrived. I needed 5 old tires removed and 5 tires mounted and balanced. Probably needed a front end alignment too. The manager refused to do the work because my tires have 300 miles on them; still have the little rubbers nubs all over the 4 tires and spare was new from driven on. I showed the receipt of purchase for the tires and explained the SUV they were on was totaled in an accident. The manager could care less. I asked the store manager to escalate to the territory manager, he did do as I asked but the area manager also refused. Take your car to someone who cares, and not this place. Tire Country is 1.5 miles away and they do great work. Finished this entire job in 2 hours. read more

Brought my car in for front brakes due to squealing. Store rep said I needed new front pads and rotors. And that i needed new back brakes. Told him that another tires plus just did the back less than 5000 miles ago. He said they must have used the wrong parts. He quoted me $1,000 roughly for the repair. I said I'll pick the car up. I took the car to my normal trusted mechanic for last 15 years and he said all the brakes were like new. He said some anti squeal compound could help with the squeal I hear when I first brake. Awful service, went there with a flat tire, they did not want to fix it and wanted to force me into buying a new tire. I told the I was leaving since I wanted to go to the dealer since my car is a lease and I has purchased warranty for my tires, to please but the tire back on my trunk, but guess what??? Ten minutes after I left they called me back and told me they forgot to put the tire on my trunk, they did not even apologize to me after they had me driving with a spare tire. I dropped off my vehicle at 8:30am for brake pads and rotor replacement. The manager said it would take approximately 2hours. 8 hours later 4:30pm and nothing was done to the vehicle. Took my car in anticipating needing a battery. They confirmed it and I was told they could change it right away. I paid by debit card and the charge immediately hit my account. After waiting almost an hour and a half they finally told me they couldn't find a battery that fit and they thought my battery was still under warranty anyway. It took a good 20 minutes for them to figure out how to credit back my account. However as quickly as the charge hit my account the credit did not. So I'm out the funds due to the holiday. No apology for the screw up. No offer for the 2 hours of time I wasted and work I missed sitting there waiting for nothing but for them to take my money. 12-26. Christmas Day went and filled up gas tank for a busy day at work. When I went to start the car it was completely dead. The charge in my debit account left me with no money for road service. Waiting for a neighbor to jump me today. Called Ford and the battery is no longer under warranty. Funny the didn't mention that before I paid to replace it. read more

Used to have the utmost confidence in this place, for multiple years, and multiple cars. My last experience left me very disappointed. Warned me that I needed a part, that I couldn't replace that day. Had an uncomfortable feeling about the warnings..."drive straight home! Don't turn your lights on!" Got a second opinion, advising that the part was "not at 100%, but was ok for now". Now I know any part can fail at any time....but why the dire warnings? To generate $600+ in business? Really good experience, especially compared to the one that I had in Pembroke Pines off of pines Blvd. the mechanic Alexander was really knowledgeable and let me use a coupon that expired from my bad experience from Pembroke Pines. He was also super friendly even with other customers he was helping too, if I ever have any issues with my tires I'll come to this location, just gets really busy Saturday afternoons but it is really well worth the wIt just for the service was so glad that I choose this location! read more

I took my car here for an oil change where I was quoted a four hour wait time. After I dropped my key off I was handed a receipt and I started to walk home in Florida's 100 degree weather (20minute walk). As I was walking I began to review my receipt. I noticed that I was being charged for synthetic oil, which I had not asked for. I called tires plus and asked them to please only put conventional oil into my car. I spoke to Dan who told me that the manufacturer requires synthetic oil in my car. I told him that I have been getting conventional oil in my car since I've had it. He said for liability purposes it had to be synthetic oil. At this point I was just like OK whatever because all that was on my mind was how hot it was. After we hung up I thought about it for a few more minutes and realized that it would be stupid of me to get a $60 oil change when I could just take it to Jiffy Lube for $30 like I have in the past. So I called back and I said that I had googled it and my car does not require synthetic oil. It left the factory with synthetic oil but synthetic oil is not required. I told him that if he could not put regular oil in my car I would just come pick my car up. He told me "OK no problem I'll have it waiting out front for you." I am out of work because of the current global pandemic. So if I can get an oil change for $30 rather than $60, I am going to do that. I have no job, I walked miles through the heat, and this place, Dan specifically, was forcing me to get synthetic oil in a vehicle that does not require synthetic oil. Worst service ever! The manager charged me for items I did not need. Lied to me about what was wrong with my vehicle and charged me 600 plus for labor. I fortunately got two other estimates that were both under 300$. . Tires Plus what a rip off!! Don't take your car there if possible. But if you must please get a second or third opinion!! I went in to change 2 front tires. A couple days later, im drivig and I hear squeaking noises from driver side tire when I turn the wheel to the left. So I went back there and they told me it was my break pads which made absolutely no sense. For 1, they told my pads were good, and 2, everything was fine with my old tires. So I went somewhere else and they told me my shins were rubbing against my rotors and I'll need new rotors soon, and that the person that install my tires must have messed with the shims. So I guess they just wanted some more money buy buying pads and having them installed.. I will never go there again! read more

I have been a loyal customer at the 1100 S Federal HWY location for years and always found the guys at the front desk reasonable, but over the last two years or so they have had quite a bit of management change. Now every time I go in there they try to sell me something I don't need or charged twice for labor. For example, when having the radiator replaced and filled with coolant why would I be charged labor on the radiator and then labor again to fill the system for coolant? In addition, I have had things added to the invoice that I DID NOT NEED or want. Brake jobs and pad repairs do not need the fluid to be flushed if it is clean and no leaks. It may be a recommended service but not required. I have also been told that filters are dirty and needed to be replaced even thought I replaced them on my own VERY recently. I have also been told my battery of less than six months tested good but shows signs of weakening due to age. It is SIX months old. I did not get the up-sell like t his with the previous management (HUGO and Crew) but now its every time. When you complain, they do work with you, why should you have to complain and fight for honest service. It may be time to take my business elsewhere. I have had great service here in the past but there may be pressure from Firestone to pad the invoices. read more
