Brian was contracted to repair an exterior leak from the roof of my 1964, 2000 sq. ft. Rambler in two separate locations. After a very shoddy attempt at repairing the N side of my roof, (which still leaks) Brian and his crew instead of cutting the fascia board (covering the integrated gutters) at the appropriate angle so that the corner of the west side of the fascia board comes into contact evenly with the north side fascia, they made a straight cut leaving a 2 1/2 " gap between the boards, (Unprofessional). I will send pictures of his work to anyone who requests them. When I shared my disappointment in Brian's work, he promised to come over the next day, stating that "you have my word, I'll be there tomorrow". It's been 11 days and no Brian or any other member of B&M Construction, (Unreliable/Untrustworthy). I made the mistake of paying Brian half of the money to begin the project, due to the fact that I had to leave town for seven days to tend to a family emergency, and I wanted to get the work done before the rain set in. I left strict instructions with my cousin on what needed to be done and what was agreed upon. Brian ran off with my down payment after what any reasonable person would deem was a subpar attempt to repair the leak on the N. side (which, as I stated earlier still leaks) and no work done on the S. side of the roof. Money doesn't grow on trees, and neither does Honesty, Integrity, Dependability or Professionalism. Brian has not finished the job or refunded my down payment. I will explore avenues to get the job done right and/or get my money back, but just to give you one last bit of insight into Mr. Treece's mentality and lack of foresight and attention to protecting and growing his business. Mr. Treece upon the initial inspection for the estimate, noted that my repair was a stopgap roof repair (which I was totally aware of) and that I would need to replace the roof within the next 3 to 4 years, costing well over $10,000. Brian Treece, failed to take care of B&M Construction and lacked the business sense to act in his own best interest in trying to secure bigger, more lucrative deals for himself and his company, so how can you expect that he would act in YOUR best interest. I didn't ask for anything more than he promised. In the end, he just needed to do what he said he was going to do, (Undependable). This is not meant to be a personal attack based purely on emotion. I wanted to point out the shortcomings that I observed. Shortcomings that have lead to subpar, unprofessional work and poor work ethic, ultimately resulting in horrendous customer service and zero customer satisfaction. Good Luck All, save yourself the aggravation and the headache. Look Somewhere Else!!! You'll be happy you did. Brian will try to refute my assertions, why wouldn't he, but as I said I will send photos of his shoddy work upon request. Email me at BandMConstructionSucks@gmail.com.

The doors we purchased were a quarter inch too wide, so they needed to be trimmed to fit our frames properly. Juan was the first to respond to my Yelp request and provided a very fair quote. We are extremely happy with their work and would gladly recommend them to our friends.

The good: -competitively priced, one of the cheaper quotes we received -good quality materials: porcelain tile slabs -frequent communication -finished product seems to be functionally ok, for now -we had a toilet leak during the construction period, Juan reseated the toilet properly and fixed the leak promptly, this was much appreciated. The bad The work was overall sloppy, in many regards. First and foremost, after Juan installed the valve and plumbing, they caused a small leak into our living room below during water testing. This required them to open up the ceiling downstairs, dry it out, and patch up the drywall and repaint (see pictures below). This honestly freaked me out and increased my vigilance throughout the project. During shower door installation, they cracked one of the slabs requiring it to be replaced. This was fine, but the waterproofing patch job looked uneven and thin, but they did come out and re-coat it after I brought this up. The shower door hinges were poorly installed initially. The screws were not countersunk and sticking out; I even confirmed with the shower door manufacturer that this was not correct. We had a lot of back and forth about this; Juan eventually replaced the screws with ones that fit more properly. Wall edge at the end of the shower looks very uneven, and the caulking has cracked and the wall on the tub side even has a hole in it at the transition. On the last day, I asked them to replace the shower arm to raise our showerhead, as it was low; I purchased a gooseneck from Lowe's myself, but Juan initially told me "you can do it yourself" however because they already installed a standard shower arm. He did end up putting it in at the end but it was installed improperly; it was crooked, so I decided to replace it myself afterwards as I was already quite stressed with this project already and this was a simple fix. After taking the shower arm off, I found no teflon tape on the threads, but instead a thin layer of some kind of goo. I'm not a plumber, but teflon tape is generally recommended to seal the threads. I cleaned the threads off and installed the shower arm with properly applied teflon tape with a thin layer of pipe dope. At least the copper elbow in the wall felt solid. Overall, the wet area seems ok, we're not having any leaks (so far), and the shower is functional; however, I felt the project was rushed, communication, while frequent, was poor, and the end product is just sloppy. In the end I was told "I worry too much about everything." I'll post the pictures of the areas of concern and you can judge for yourself. We saved a few thousand dollars, but in hindsight, I wish I hired someone else and saved myself a lot of stress.

He came to our home on time and did a thorough walk around our home and gave us a detailed bid. For reference we had most of our siding replaced, and the entire outside of our home painted, including front door, gutters, along with some other repairs. I found Jose and crew, to be professional at every turn, I liked that he had a detailed contract and several options for payments. His price was fair after receiving another bid. It is a lot of trust having work done in and around your home, Jose met and exceeded my high expectaions of doing an excellent, and detailed job. He takes pride in his work. Communication was seamless throughout the project, that is important to me, he even answered the phone when I was calling him while at the paint store getting a sample to try a color out. I highly recommend trying colors out on your house before finalizing your choice. Jose is generous with his knowledge, he showed me how to take apart light fixtures in order to clean the glass and spray paint them, They look brand new and saved us $ He even shared his recommended spray paint with me. I will use him again without hesitation. K & S Wright Gig Harbor WA

After removing the broken window and putting in the new glass he presses the window button to move the regulator up and down. With each press of the button there is a loud audible clunking noise, but that doesn't stop Allen. He keeps pressing the button until finally - CLUNK! Allen says "you didn't want to hear that" Very long story short, Allen the master window guy says, while holding the newly broken plastic pieces in his hand, "some JB weld might fix this." After I declined the JB weld, he calls a local auto part store to get a quote on a new regulator to replace the one he just broke. He hangs up the phone and tells me how much the new part is going to cost ME! Yah, you read that right, HE WANTS ME TO PAY FOR HIS CARELESSNESS! I asked Allen to see his business license and insurance information, to which he quickly said "NOPE" and he started packing up his tools. Now not only do I have a broken window, but I have to spend more money to fix his careless mistakes. So in closing, before you do any business with United Glass, just b reak out the other windows in your call and call an actual professional. It will save you time and money. Just avoid this his circus show disguised as a reputable business at all cost.

I used them to make my decision to call United but think these reviews are dubious at best. So here is the reason for two stars - he was late on both occasions coming to my house. Not 15 minutes late but like hours late. Then he was very slow in doing the work. We are talking SLOW - 4+ hours. Then he really shouldn't be doing tint - I had another guy come do windows in my house and he took one look at the tint job Allen did and asked me if I had done it. I was embarrassed to admit I paid Allen to do it. I'd take a picture and let you all see how bad it is but don't want to embarrass him. He offered to come back to my house to redo it and I was like ummm okay. But then thought it would take him hours to do it but first he would have to show up on time. So I didn't call him back. Bottom line - think twice about the other reviews and about using United. The prices were high, the work substandard, took way too long and didn't show up on time.
