My fiancé and I have a hard time going to any other Mexican spots in Venice/santa Monica area because they always fail in comparison to Rero's. The food always tastes extremely fresh, the workers are always friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is always very clean. Though, we typically eat it at home because this is some serious comfort food that makes me want to go to sleep after lol. Can't recommend this place enough! Rancheros fries: to die for. The best rancheros fries I've ever had, we get them with the al pastor. California burrito: amazing. I add rice to mine and dip it in salsa verde. It's truly soooo good. I got the surf and turf burrito and went to this spot because it has 4+ stars and I've passed it so many times on my way home. For an $18 burrito I'm going to have high expectations! What is up with all this upcharge on simple menu items? Seemed to be made fresh to order, but it was extremely soggy, falling apart, and honestly not worth the price. Two Beef Hard Shell Tacos and the Chicken Cucamunga Burrito. The order didn't take too long to arrive and the driver was proficient and professional. Also ordered Mild Sauces (on the side) that turned out to be fantastic paired with both proteins of Tacos and Burrito. The Beef Hard Shell Tacos being my favorite of all three items. The Hard Shells were fresh making for a delicious Crunch. Like I said. The Sauces adding more flavor and deliciousness to the equation. We have now been to Rero's more than 10 times now. We are so happy we found them. They have the best Mexican food and the prices are fair for what you get and you get a lot. This one is on Lincoln Blvd in a little tiny mall. Park in the back, I think off Glenco, but I am not positive. The place is small, but super cute and always clean. They don't have a lot of seating, but there is always a table to be had. The service is just great. We usually get it to go and they pack it perfectly so you don't come home with a mess in a bag. The staff knows the menu, can make changes and additions and they always get out order right the first time. We love all their food, but their taquitos are great. They are long and packed with meat, and they have choices. we also love their chips, rice and beans. Their enchiladas are so good. I love the cheese ones. Their guacamole is so good. Got home checked the 6 containers and could see they were obviously not half a pound each. Got out my kitchen scale and they gave me 1.65 lbs of carnitas total. On an order for 3 lbs. I got my refund via door dash. Wanted to let everybody know that these people are dishonest fraudsters. I went back for lunch and ordered the taco salad. I was a little disappointed at the lack of depth. It literally was filled with lettuce with a thin layer of meat, guacamole and sour cream. I did see any cheese. I would have been more impressed if it had at least beans. For that taco salad I give only 3 stars. This may just be a breakfast burrito spot for me. I'll try one more non breakfast item before final decision. The flavor of the meat is good too. I don't recommend the taco salad. It's not worth the price, in my opinion. El pollo locos is better. I love Rero's! I work around the corner so this spot is extremely convenient on my sometimes short lunch breaks. I usually get their taquitos & guac (beef and potato) which are amazing. I get them with cheese and sour cream added and they don't skimp on the toppings! I haven't tried their burritos but my daughter is a fan! Service is fast and friendly. Andrew who runs the restaurant is awesome! He always remembers me and makes sure I'm taken care of. It's also s family business, started by his grandmother. I think they have a few locations. These were well-made, tasty tacos made with fresh ingredients. The Habanero salsa has some pineapple, which makes for a nice flavor profile, but I prefer the more conventional hot sauce that has no sweetness.. The staff is friendly. I wish they had the option to add some grilled peppers and onions. And maybe make the potatoes crispier (hash browns or tots) to give the BB more texture. Still, the basics were nailed for a soft, fresh, and melty BB. The service was friendly and quick, which was also appreciated. There are plenty of places to get breakfast burritos around here. This is a great place to get some home cooked Mexican food. I have tried the chicken tacos, rice beans, chips, guacamole, and salsa. The price is very reasonable. What i liked about the food. crispy shell chicken tacos had shredded white chicken meat, cheese and lettuce. The beans are refried and smooth. The rice is good though not a ton of flavor. The chips are the bomb. Hot and got a shot of salt. They have a couple of different spice levels for the salsa. I stick with the mild and i love it. Service has been great both times i have gone there. There is a parking lot, not large but big enough and some tables inside if you are looking to eat there. I would recommend if you are looking for Mexican close to Marina Del Rey give it a try. read more

The cashier was super friendly and my food was prepared pretty quickly (weekday around 5pm). The taco was good - the meat, tender and flavorful. The flautas were huge and they were very generous with the guacamole! I could only eat one. The chicken was flavorful and moist. I can't say it was the best taco or flautas I've ever had, good but nothing really special. I'd be down to go back to try a few other items like the esquite, enchilada or burritos. read more

I had also been waiting for this place to open. I was craving a good breakfast burrito and when I heard they opened up I had to try it. The food was delicious and tasted fresh, the ambiance was nice and the staff were excellent. I met the owner Andrew and he was warm and helpful. OMG...Finally had a chance to try Rero's MDR outpost...What can I say other than beyond fabulous. When my breakfast burrito arrived, it was HUGE...So huge I barely demolished a third of it and am sitting down to polish off the rest for lunch. Rero's prices and beyond great, their portions are beyond plentiful. It was amazing to see into the kitchen and realize that every item on the menu is made "Hecho a Mano" right there!!!!! I get home and look at my receipt and she added a $2.40 tip without asking!!!! My total was actually $13.32. This hurts because it's a local business and they are selling Burritos so i am pre-disposed to love them! And I have tried but this place needs help! I am not sure who designed the bathroom to be opposite the kitchen but they did and all I can think about is the Apartment with the toilet in the Kitchen they tried to get Ross to rent on friends :( It is hard to believe this is real. Sadly it goes down hill from there. Even though new the place is pretty gross and I have watched the cooks come out and wipe down a table and the floor with a rag they then uses to wipe their hands and cook top and rest the burrito they were making on the same rag. So when you bite into that extra greasy burrito with super runny, mooshey beans you have to ask yourself how much is smoosh from the floor the customers excrement or whatever poorest quality ingredients are lingering in the kitchen. I actually forced through and ate my burrito which had chalky shrimp and the wrong kind of chewy steak in it and did not feel right for several days. I was just so hungry and clearly making bad decisions. We waited eagerly for this place to open and even swung by several times during the months before they opened but were posting obviously fake five star reviews. The best favor I can offer the owners is they have no business being anywhere near a resturaunt and should move on and let something better open in the spot sooner than later. This resturaunt can't be really trying and all the shammy-iness aside they are dangerous. As a public service I implore you, no matter how hungry, to pass on this funky-front, don't repeat my bad decisions. I got a little sick again in the retelling! We tried Rero's Burrito last night for dinner and it exceeded our expectations! We have been looking for a high-quality Mexican restaurant that has easy to go options, and this is it! We tried the carne asada California burrito and the carne asada wet burrito. Both were absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. I definitely recommend getting some salsa on the side of the California burrito. The owner was there as well so we got a chance to talk with him a bit. He was so kind and welcoming, and clearly passionate about his restaurant! We will definitely be back and can't wait to try more menu items! Cannot recommend this place enough! read more
