5 Stars for Tj Maxx?! Here's why!!! Spectacular Service and AMAZING Inventory!!! I came here last week with no intention of buying anything (isn't that always the scenario...). Damn was I bought!! I went to Sephora last week and I saw that they were selling their Beauty Blender Sponges for $20 for 1. Here at TJ Maxx they have a copy cat brand and you get 3 for $9.99!!! WOW It works just the same! PLUSSSS I found a makeup brush cleaning mat for only $7.99 that is an exact dupe for the one Sigma Beauty makes and sells for $32!!! Another score!!! I also saw beautiful home decor! I LOVE LOVE LOVE home decor! There were a bunch of gorgeous frames and I ended up buying one to frame a picture of my boyfriend and me!! Tee hee giggles LOL He hates taking pics but I LOVE IT! HA HA While I was shopping around one of the employees asked me if I needed a shopping cart, yeah this is a common question that you'll probably get at a specialty store at the mall but I was shocked that a store like TJ Maxx would offer! How nice! Not only that but the employee was SUPER chipper!! She cheerfully exclaimed that she was so excited for fall to come and she was excited about the fall decor! Great to see employees happy about what they do :) Her happiness rubbed off on me for a second! I didn't have time to go through all the aisles but dang I was falling in love with everything I saw! Terrible store policy, paid $28 dls for a pair of shoes a week later went to exchange for a smaller size and know shoes were at $34.99 dls. They will do size exchange but I needed to pay the difference. Not buying again, because you can't exchange the for different size. Terrible read more

Where are the other two star's you ask. -1 because they don't carry sizes over 16 and even anything over a size 12 is sparse. -1 because Lori at register 2 treated me and Honey Bunny like we had a disease! Yes, they have tons of designer stuff Yes, some of it is marked pretty low (they are still Marshalls uppity big sister with the attitude) Yes, things are clean and orderly But I'd rather go to Marshalls and squeeze through the racks, looking at things on the floor, finding sizes mixed up, waiting an extra 10 minutes in line. Why.... cause they realize that real women come in all sizes and they treat them nice! (PS. Lori had about 100 lbs on me, so go figure). I would chalk it up to her having a bad day, but she was uber friendly with the family in front of me. Go figure? read more

My experience for December 28, 2013. Although this is my go to tj maxx and one of my favorite stores to go to, I had the WORSE experience today. If you don't like to work in retail and have to deal with customer service then do NOT apply for these type of jobs. I was kindly being helped by one employee who managed to give me correct pricing for an item I wanted and once I reached the front end, my cashier gave me so much attitude and talked to me as if I was lying about everything I said and I was stupid. Seriously? I would lie about an employee who stopped what she was doing to help a customer, walk to the register to confirm pricing, and come back to me with the information. My cashier basically told me NO you can't and questioned everything I was saying. I did not want to deal with the bullshit so I dropped all my purchases and left. That's how irritating the situation was and I never do that. Managers, hire better employees who WANT to better TJ MAXX'S name instead of making them look bad. I hope that person is seasonal. read more

I don't think there's ever been a time that I've walked into Tj Maxx and not come out with something. I always find things at this location! Great selection on clothing and household goods!!! Huge clearance isle for things you really don't need but end of buying anyways. I've only ever been to 2 other Tj Maxx in the Bay Area. This one is by far the best one out of all! read more

TJ Maxx what's not to love! There's always a great selection of pretty much everything. I usually always looks at their accessories. Great statement necklaces and earrings, then you can walk over and find the perfect dress to match it. Great prices, their slogan is true: designer prices at low cost. I was surprised to find some running shoes for $39.99 usually retailed at $80! What a steal! For the fellas, their men selection is not as great but you're bound to find something. It is definitely geared for the ladies and home. The sales workers are always friendly and welcoming! read more

Tj Maxx carries a lot of brand names: Betsey Johnson, Harajuku Lovers, Ed hardy, Rocawear, Billabong, etc. This place is well organized & maintained. They're like another Ross but with more brand names & a couple dollars more. Good place to hunt for treasure. read more

Woahhhhh this place is so much better than Ross near the mall (I have never been to Marshall's so I can't compare with that place). I actually don't fall asleep while I'm in here. I was only looking for active wear, which they have tons of (Ross doesn't have any really). My friend recommended it here for their prices (which they're pretty cheap). And they are very much more organized. Their employees are pretty nice as well. It's pretty far from where I live so I can't come here much. At least it's a much better alternative for me than boring Ross. read more

This was my second time at this location and during both visits, I got really good deals. The clothes selection for women was great when I went. They had nice tops from Cloth and Stone and French Connection. I went through the little girls clothes also and didn't find squat. Same goes for little boys. The only downside was at the checkout. My checker had pushed me really hard to open a TJ Maxx credit card. I said no like 10 plus times!! Shouldn't the 2nd time I say no be a sign to back down and give up?? I will definitely try to avoid her next time around if I decide to go back to that location. It was a real turn off.... I would give 5 stars for overall selection, store location, cleanliness and prices but I knocked it down a couple stars for the customer service just from the one who helped me that day. yuck. There's nothing I hate more than walking into a department store trying to find good sales but everything is all out of order... thank god this location has everything neat & organized so I can actually look in my size and not have to fumble through just random styles & sizes! Until yesterday this was my favorite TJ Maxx. In the last month alone I have spent over $1000 between there and the Vacaville Home Goods redecorating my new home. I shop there so often that some of the cashiers actually know me. Well yesterday I must have caught a different shift because I was followed around the store! It was so bad that when I was leaving, the cashier left register 1 to watch me walk out the door! I don't know what I did to arouse suspicion but I can say that I am truly hurt. After sleeping on it, I think I'll be taking back all of the items I purchased yesterday. read more

I very rarely go to TJ Maxx, but I was in the area, so I decided to check for some bath rugs. The "home" section is in the rear of the store, and I was a little confused to find bath rugs in two different aisles, but oh well. The prices seem decent, though not as good as Ross, obvi. Found a nice rug for $5.99 and made my way to the register, where I was surprised to find no one in line. This was shopping made easy! read more

I enjoy this location, this store is a decent size, constantly restocking the shelves and racks with new merchandise. I wouldn't come here with a Specific item in mind to purchase(as it may be very hard to locate) but I would definitely show up if you have hours of free time and an open mind. I can always find something great at either Tj Maxx, Marshall's and Ross. This Tjmaxx in particular always a has a wonderful selection of nearly everything! I have found hard to find items such as Nars makeup to limited edition handbags and luggage. Downside is that the men's selection is limited but if shopping for yourself (that is if you're a woman) it's never ending and you might spend hours here! Service is minimal, standard for any retail location however the older woman working the fitting rooms is rather rude and doesn't greet customers in a friendly manner. Clean, well lit, and great selection. Will come back again and again. read more

I always love going to this location. Everything is always organized and their products are always changing. Customer service is really great. I've noticed how they have employees who are diverse in age and that's great that they give job opportunities to all appropriate ages. TJ Maxx is definitely better than Ross. I love the store, but most of their staff is without a doubt, the most consistently rude...make the customer get out of their way if they are in an aisle with you, never acknowlege they have seen you before, do not smile, make no chit chat (even a Hi,how are you?) and generally look bored and like they don't like their job. But you cannot find better bargains and "stuff" anywhere around...I am a fan of the store but not the staff...I also go there at least once a week since it opened years ago and unfortunately buy...and only one of them has ever been friendly!! I went here yesterday looking for a pair of shoes in my size that I saw at a different store. It had been years since I visited this location bc it was so sparse in products for women and looked depressing inside. My expectations were far exceeded in yesterday's visit! Good, just keeps getting better! They have almost completed a remodel. New restrooms, everything out and everthing new, new fixtures in the store, new paint, new tile. It looks so nice clean and open. This is always a new store as inventory comes out daily..... Cole Haan, D & B, Coach, Jessica Simpson. Don't forget to check out the new fitting rooms! For an off price retailer the service is rather exceptional. Usually off price has no service, you may have to wait to get helped but that is why it is off priced and keeps their prices low. Had my backpack stolen at this location. The first thing one of the employee said was 'we are not responsible for it". Actutally I was just making sure it wasn't mistakenly taken by someone as I left the backpack in the cart. But it seems like they know sb do this on a regular basis. I know there are people steal merchandise in the store, but stealing backpack in a big store is a new experience for me!!! Will never shop at this store!! read more

While I'm not unhappy with my purchases and yes I shopped there a few times now, I must advise my fellow shoppers to be aware and cautious while you are picking out items to purchase. If you pay close attention like I do you may have noticed that many items that are on the shelfs individually and priced individually, are actually part of a set. Taken apart and marked up each. That goes for towels, kitchen canisters, dish ware, baskets and containers, cups, fragrance and body care , and the list goes on. I'm not saying avoid shopping there, I'm saying pay attention to what you buy and shop around . On a few occasions I thought I caught a ok deal here, only to find the same item in a set and cheaper elsewhere, so that's leaving me with that bitter aftertaste about my "scores" at this location. read more

This place is offers a great selection. I always find what I need here. When it comes to clothes and bags they have a fantastic brands like Coach, D&B and Betsy Johnson. I forgot, they have really good selection of health/hygiene things. Like I brought a bottle of DDF acne face wash which retails for around $35 and I got it for $20. I went in one day to give my application to one of the sales associates there who called over their store manager John to talk to me about it. He was dealing with a customer that seems to be a regular that shops there a lot and directed her to someone at the counter. Anyways, he spoke softly telling me something along the lines of " thanks for saving me" those weren't the exact words but it sure did seem like that was what he meant. I worked there before back in 2008 and I had so much experience with dealing with customers that they decided to put me in the back to help unload the weekly shipment. I never done that before. I always was on the floor helping customers or working as a cashier at my other retail stores. I advice anyone that is interested in working for this company to rethink your decision. I think this tj maxx has potential but corporate or the managers need to put their foot(s) down! This Tj Maxx is very unorganized,closter phobic,& stuffy.The employees need improvement as well some are nice & pleasant and take there jobs seriously & are profrofessional as to others are rude,ignorant to products,their surroundings,& very inconsiderate.On a scale 1 to 10 for superior customer service they get a 4 seriously. This job is plain in sight the manager let's these employees take there job as a "kick it spot", "laid back" etc. Not at all will you find them go the extra mile to assist you. Employees on the floor do not help you or even attempt to make eye contact. Their attire should be a little more professional especially for the young ladies in there.A girl helped me with long,colorful,acrylic nails & could'nt even type on the register.Another had a low V-neck shirt on her breast were all out,tatoos all over.Another boy had grass stained jeans on, and a wrinkled, ripped polo on. I don't know what's going on with this store but somebody needs to take serious action and consideration.Only good thing I can say is I liked the bargains, spacious dressing rooms, and convinient lay away. read more
