Huge TJ Maxx/HomeGood location in the middle of wealthy Irvine. Even TJ Maxx felt cleaner and better to me in this area. And despite your thoughts on "rich people won't come here", there were a LOT of folks shopping here. My aunt needed to make a quick purchase here so we stopped by and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and how organized this location was. The checkout lines were also very long, living up to its TJ Maxx name. I don't think I would come back here purely because I live here, but it's always interesting to see other franchises in different parts of the country and this one was definitely a top-tier one! read more

I really wanted to like this store... but each and every time, there's always a rude cashier! This time the cashier line was endless.... Having just purchased jewelry from them, I asked to pay for a puppy bed at the jewelry section... was refused and the MOD came and reiterated that could just hold it for me til I gave more time to stand in line... with kids and a brand new puppy ( hence the puppy bed) ... and they had zero ability to accommodate. We spent more time talking about it instead of her just charging me and letting me go..... no common sense .... And a missed sale.... Poor customer service! read more

I wish the store had a better selection of items. I know these types of stores usually are not as good as Macy's or some of the better department stores but I just wish they did not have a lot of the same stuff every single time. I have been coming to this location for over 3 years. And it seems like they have not changed their selection even once the only good thing about this place is the location. Love this TJ maxx, you can find all the nice clothes here BUT my experience today was horrible. The one in charge of the dressing room was super rude, she kept saying No Bra No Bra. Okay I'm sorry it was my first time looking for a bra at TJmaxx you could have been nice to me. I asked her politely can I still try on the clothes I have picked out? She said "You have a shopping cart? If not put your clothes here everything will go back on the rack" I said "sorry I don't have a shopping cart. It's ok I will put them back on the rack for you". Why would I need a cart when I don't plan to buy a lot? Sometimes if you're having a stressful day please don't put it on other people especially they have not done anything to disrespect you. We all stress. I will continue support Tjmaxx because It's super close to me but I will avoid the dressing room if I see her there for my peace of mind. read more

Hubby and I stopped by this location to look at some of their HomeGoods selection. We were disappointed the moment we stepped through the sliding doors as we saw how messy the store was. It was unorganized and plain dirty. We took one quick look at the HomeGoods side but quickly left because we were confused by the lack of organization here. The customers here made me personally feel uncomfortable as they did not abide by the social distancing markers while standing in line. I had NO personal space and felt like I was being stared down for wearing a mask which I did not appreciate. That ruined the experience for us. However, we had to give TJ Maxx kudos for having plexiglass at their checkout at each station and for having their staff wear masks. We did have some some online items we had to return here past the 45 day return date. They were nice enough to give us store credit, which we really appreciated. They were also pet-friendly here which is a bonus. read more

I went to the counter with a full cart and two items to return. The cashier asked to see the receipt on my phone but I am very careful not to allow cashiers touch my phone (they don't sanitize between customers and touch way too many peoples cards and products). Anyway she really seemed like she needed to scroll on my phone despite my attempts to do it for her. After she confirmed the date she proceeded to read the items and claimed she didn't see my items on the receipt. So I asked her, "Can you just scan it because..." I was going to say "I bout them both at the same time" but she cut me off to say "I don't need the attitude when I'm trying to do my job." What? People, I did not have an attitude and merely asked if she could not guess and let the scanner confirm the items. That's the way it's always done. I come here regularly. I have never been spoken to like a child at this home goods...until today. And it deserves a retort. I told Jaylen, I don't have an attitude at all and she literally argued that I do have one. So now she knows me well enough to know what my having an attitude looks like. Or am I just inherently aggressive to her? Who knows but today wasn't a good day at Tjmaxx / home goods. Can't complain because their prices are so reasonable and they have large selections to choose from. Service was a bit slow because the line was so long and they only have 3 cashiers open. Horrible Kept Women's Restroom. As you can see by the photos even though the store is very well kept this store does not care about the keeping the the Women's restroom the same. The standards are very low and dirty. When shopping and spending high amounts of money here it would be more pleasant to use a clean and well kept restroom. Proper sanitary conditions would be appreciated. Employee checks to keep the area clean and smelling good. Air freshener would be nice. Just having the door open is not enough. It rates low on Stars for the lack of customer service. read more

Organized, like the selection and finds! I recently bought all the marshmallow chocolate dunkers for hot cocoa! Sorry, just had to re stick my hot cocoa station and the prices are so fair I could not pass on. Plus they are having sale prices thought the entire store. The nerve of this store! I bought my mom a jacket for Christmas. I didn't even notice the safety device until my mom pointed it out. I thought no big deal I purchased it with my credit card so there's a record I bought it. Nope, when I got there they refused to remove it. The girl had to ask three times! Listen I get it if there is a theft problem but I've been a loyal customer and I don't think it's fair that it took three times of me asking and complaining to remove a safety device that your staff forgot to take off ( and no it didn't go off when I left the store). Even when the staff took off the security device she told me "we are only going to do this one time,please make sure to keep the receipt" and I told her please make sure your staff is trained to remove the tags when ringing somebody out. It was their mistake for not removing it like wtf. Super disappointed. read more

Watch your bag! There's a man, possibly two men working together, who are pickpocketing in this store. I had something lifted out of my bag and was followed around. The staff were apologetic and for sure my item was not in lost elsewhere in the store. Be careful at this location. read more

this is a prime Home goods but my experience wasnt too great. i understand there is a line normally and i do not mind waiting in it but i accidently left my debit card in my car and i had my apple pay thinking it would be okay to use, which it was. Unfortunately, their apple pay was not working, only know this because i had just used it at ulta right next door, and i asked if they can just quickly hold it while i ran out to my car to grab it. maybe it was a miscommunication but when i came back they had me wait all over again in line, that was all the way to the dining items. i literally had just waited in that line, they had my bag of items in the front behind them and they still wanted me to wait. i understand the waiting in line part i had just done that, it's the fact that i had asked if i can just run to my car and come back. so i had to wait in another 20-30 minute line. awesome! read more

They should improve their costumer service, I'm 39 weeks pregnant I had two things in my cart and there was a line that went all the way from the cashier till the very end of her store. I went to TJmaxx to buy some bras. I selected 4 to try on. The lady guarding the fitting rooms said that I could not try them on. Now, which male manager came up with that idea?? Every bra is different even when they are the same size so it does not make sense unless they want to have more women come back to return all the bras they bought..or will they stop accepting returns of bras too? Manager Jeanette is always so smiley and cheery! She will happily stand in ginormous line and talk to the customers, so we are not as frustrated waiting. Lines do move faster then they appear. Covid regulations isn't making things easier. While dealing with the craziness of shopping during Covid regulations it's nice to feel greeted, smiled at, appreciated, and spoken to by a very cheery staff who will help you out. The service is zero, I bought a trash can and it was not In perfect condition I ask the sales person This not a good condition If it doesn't fit, I can return it she said yes no problem and I went to return it to them back in a week and they told me that it's been used it wasn't used i told him I bought it it didn't fit where I want to...I put it back in the plastic bag didn't a time to go return it and they give me a hard time they have a new manager it's a guy, I don't know who is he? but very bad attitude. I also bought a candy bag inside opened it and it was old like a year old and I returned that he told me he won't take this back because he doesn't know when I bought it and I show him the receipt he says that doesn't make any difference. LOVE this location! I usually don't come to shop for clothes but right now, they have racks on racks of clearance clothing; definitely worth looking through for some pretty great steals! They have a large selection of photo frames, decorative vases, light fixtures and furniture selections. This location is the largest one (in my opinion) in Orange County. It gets crowded very quickly and the wait to get into the store can get lengthy so I usually get to the store as soon as it opens on Saturdays. It makes the shopping experience, especially pleasant and very peaceful! They have arrows that are intended to guide customers throughout the store but most people don't really pay any attention to them. Staff are wearings masks and I've encountered a few employees who wear gloves while ringing people up. The cashiers also sanitize between each customer, wiping down the counters and card machines. read more

This store has 17 check out lines, but only opens 6 of them when the line is to the back of the store. Also no customer service/return desk so to return an item you have to wait an additional 45 minutes in the same line you waited 45 minutes to purchase the item. Something needs to change here. Also the manager Gio was less than helpful while he was doing nothing behind the desk. read more

Absolutely love the great deals that can be found here. What I cannot stand is that when we buy sobering with a sticky price tag on it that item is pretty much ruined. For gods sake, find a way to put a price on your items without ruining them or making your customers spend days upon days getting frustrated with a sticker that won't come off. This TJ Maxx Home Goods store is big and SUPER-busy. Tons of clothing, kitchen stuff, pillows & sheets, towels, toys, suitcases, items for the garden and knick-knacky things. All at discount prices. The store is kept clean and organized which is admirable due to the high volume of people buzzing around. We came looking for a large pot for a plant. My wife has had a specific color and style in mind for a long time and we've searched a lot of stores looking for what she wants. Lo and behold, we found exactly what she wanted here! It was a bit heavy so we walked to the front of the store to get a cart and when we got back...it was GONE! This was the only one! Our jaws dropped to the floor. I raced around the store looking in people's carts (there must be no security in this store otherwise they would have pounced on this madman looking in everyone's carts). I was willing to pay double to get it from whoever had it but my search came up empty. Although we shuffled out of the store crushed and disheartened, our depression was no fault of TJ Maxx's. We told this story to friends who have been here and they just nod knowingly before sharing similar stories. Apparently you need to grab something as soon as you see it at this store because things get snapped up very quickly! read more

A TJ Maxx and Homegoods together? I scored with finding this two in one. Visited the TJ Maxx part of the store first. Lots of name brand clothing for women with one section after another. From summer dresses to business attire, it was there. Passed by the children's clothing section and saw some Nike, Puma, Air Jordan, Chaps and Tommy Hillfiger outfits with prices up to 50% off the original price. Also, great toy section from ages newborn to toddlers. The toy section of the store was pretty messy but that's to be expected. Visited the Homegoods section and there is such a HUGE selection of items. Dresser drawers, area rugs, couches, bathroom cabinets, lamps, picture frames, pots and pans, wall paintings, Halloween decorations and the list goes on and on. The only negative thing I can say is there was not a big selection of bedding and there were certain areas where merchandise was waiting to be stocked, but other then that this TJ Maxx/Homegoods is great! Easily can spend an hour or two shopping here. Great store and location. read more

This is by far my favorite TJ Maxx store... You can always find pretty,cute stuff without breaking the bank. Last week, I went there just to look around but ended up buying a giant suitcase for $70! I also bought couple of wooden chopping boards for less than $20 each. Isn't that a deal?!!! The store itself is clean and the associates are very helpful and polite... Some people might complaint that the store is a mess but When you have that much traffic, ofcourse it is expected to be not fully organized! Duh!! My favorite part of the store is the clearance section... You can find stuff for more than 60% off regular price... I came to this store not long before Christmas, and I instantly regretted it. The parking lot was insane, but I was lucky enough to get a front row spot, after driving around quite a few times and giving up. From my front row spot, literally the first spot, I almost got hit by two cars crossing to go into the store, and once going back to my car. People are just insane anymore. I walked around this store... and I was so excited to be at a TJ Maxx AND Homegoods all at once. I found this store to be... below average. I left without purchasing anything, which truly almost never happens, especially since I was in a shopping mood. It just seemed nothing was organized, and there was no rhyme or reason to this store, whatsoever. I love the one in Aliso Viejo, and will return there in the future, for sure. read more

TJ Maxx is a perfectly fine place to shop, as long as you only need the one thing at the one time. I would not expect to be able to go back in a week or month later and get the matching or duplicate item, like you would at a regular department store. Maybe you will find it, but most likely what they had at the time is what they had, and when it is gone, they are on to the next items. They do have large sections of home goods, so if you want to fill out a kitchen with mix and match pots, pans, and misc items, you can get good deals. Just don't expect to be able to get the 15 piece All Clad set. Maybe they will have one, but you are more likely to be buying stuff piecemeal. They have plenty of clothing, though I didn't look too much at it. Generic mens wear from off and name brands. Plenty to look through if you need stuff to wear. read more

This is one of my favorite TJ Maxx locations in Orange County, since its connected to a HomeGoods, as well. If nobody knows, TJ Maxx, and their sister stores are all pet-friendly. So I've started taking Nigel whenever I go. I'm sure Hayley and I will take the pups in the future, more often. But unless this is the only store we're going to during errands, we might have to leave them at home since other stores aren't up with the times, yet! Anyhow, this location has a great stock of items, furniture, clothes, and just general house wear. The lines can be fairly long, but they always have a good staff to keep the lines moving quickly. I've always had great customer service, so nothing to complain about on that end! Will be back until I'm no longer in Irvine! read more
