I am giving the rating because of management. My cashier, however, was AWESOME. Her name is Norma and she should get five stars!! And a raise corporate I hope you read these. Norma is a superstar. She asked the manager a question literally THREE times and the manager stood there, didn't even look at her and just walked away mumbling things under her breath and shaking her head. Norma apologized and said it's been very busy. I understand if the manager is stressed, but she didn't even give Norma the time of day. Being a manager can be very hectic but when YOU choose that position, YOU as a leader have to learn how to manage your emotions. I didn't think it was right the way Norma was treated. This TJ Maxx location is typically busy, which is no surprise because they have a huge selection BUT during this pandemic there seems to be no effort to social distance. I just moved into an empty house last month and needed a couple of things to add and was very excited that TJ Maxx opened. I drove by and noticed there was no line, I really just thought I was lucky. I walked in and walked out after 5 minutes because the amount of people inside was overwhelming and chaotic. There were some customers not wearing a mask, lots of people touching and hardly anyone cleaning. I visited the Woodbury Homegoods in Irvine the day after and they were strict on the amount of people inside the store, they had arrows so you couldn't just aimlessly walk around and form crowds and we even noticed a few of their employees cleaning often touched areas frequently. That's what we need more of right now! read more

I had 5 clothes to purchases and when the cashier scanned one of them, it showed that it was a set. I had the pants but the top was missing. I really loved how the pants fits me well. I just had my surgery but i still went through the trouble of fitting because i do not want to go back and return items with my condition. It was for an important funeral I will be attending. The cashier called an associate to locate the top pair and she told me she can not sell it separately. I was willing to purchase it as a set without the top. She said that They have a policy that they will hold my Pants for 7 days to locate the top everywhere in the store and if after the 7th day they still can not fine it, they will re-price it and they will call me to purchase it. She took my name and phone number, stick it on the pant's hanger and place it on their "Hold" rack. I spoke to the supervisor that time and he assured me it will not be sold at all before the 7 days period which should be the following Saturday. 5 days passed and Since I did not receive any calls from them, I presumed they did not find the top therefore they will have to re-price it and sell the pants to me. I called on a Friday to tell them that i will have my husband pick it up and purchase it for me. To my surprise, the pants is no where to be found on the rack and it is not even 7 days yet. I was extremely disappointed!!! Their 7 day hold does not make any sense if they can not keep their promise!!! They need to train their people well with their policies and procedure. This is THE BIGGEST T.J.Max/Home Goods store I have EVER been in! Every time I go in there I get upset that I ever listened to my mom about this store when I was younger. Lol. She always used to tell me not to bother going in there because they are very expensive. So I thought, "Well, mother knows best, right?" and I stayed away. But when I was working right next door at Michaels, one day on my lunch break, I decided to take a look. Lol. I was sooooo upset, because I found the CUTEST (random) things in there. But what made me upset was when I went to check the price tags (to have a good laugh)... every thing was SUPPPPPER cheap!!! Lol. I called my mom right away and asked her, "How could do that to me mom?! I've missed years full of chances to get super cute things for my house at GREAT DEALS! Why would you tell me that they were super expensive when that's not the case at all!?" Then she says, "Well.... I've never really been IN there before. I just THOUGHT they were expensive..." You have GOT to be joking mother! "Wow mom... just... wow...." The next time she was in my area, I drug her into the store with me. Now she shops there more than I do! Lol. read more

Bad customer service. Came in to buy an iPhone XR case and the only one that was available was a case with a missing car mount that was normally included in the box but was stolen. I asked for a discount because my product was incomplete. The cashier mentioned that only $1 was able to be discounted because the product was missing the car mount and was only classified as a "bonus". Clearly, if the mount wasn't as valuable no one would have stolen it in the first place. I believe the team could have assisted me better but did not. I would NOT recommend purchasing any phone products from this location. Majority of the cases and products are open and have missing pieces. read more

Great customer service!! The nice gentleman named Dusty he looks like he loves what he is doing. I was helped with an item that didn't have a price on it and he did not hesitate to get the price for me. I love coming in this store they have a great variety of stuff. As for the cashiers they have no control they are rude. They made me feel uncomfortable many times I've been making a purchase at this location. Management should be ashamed of their workers it's sad they were cussing out in Spanish without knowing that I could clearly understand them. I absolutely hate this TJ Maxx location. I always try to avoid this specific location. Parking people drive horribly. Fine, not the merchant's fault. But this place is always very picked over bc of foot traffic and lines are always long bc of said foot traffic. Save your time and every, try another location. read more

This TJ Maxx home goods location has amazing selection and always the cutest items to decorate your house with! I love how the isles are not too cramped and you have plenty of room to walk even with other people beside you. They constantly add stuff to the shelf and I will find new items every time I come back. I especially love how they have plenty of dog toys and supplies for my puppies. It's one of my favorite sections to come to when I am shopping. They carry name brands for a steal and it's like a treasure hunt when I find some good deals! read more

They have the most things to buy in this location. Great deals and a lot of inventory. I was looking into some Calvin Klein bed sets (that I saw at Urban Outfitters/Nordstrom) and the price here was unbeatable. They were half price (thank goodness I saw them here and bought them here instead!). The only downside of this place is that it's very busy. The lines for the cashiers are long but it's expected as this location has both TJMaxx and Home Goods connected. Also, it's in the District so it's usual. read more

We're fans of this location because it's both a TJ Maxx and a HomeGoods rolled into one. That means you can get some discounted clothing while finding some items to spruce up your house on the cheap at the same time. If you're into fitness apparel, I'd encourage you to scope out their selection as you can really save yourself a few bucks on name brand items - they just might not be the latest season, but who cares. The same goes for equipment like weights, yoga mats, and other accessories to help do your exercise thing. Kitchen and bath are the items that we tend to buy the most from here. You can really score some great bedding, towels, and cooking utensils for a fraction of the price of the big box department stores. Because they don't always get the same things back in stock, it's smarter to buy then and return later if you don't need it (just look at their return policy). Because it is one of the bigger stores in the area, give yourself time to check-out as there always seems to be a pretty big line of people. It's a zoo around the holidays and parking can be crazy because of The District layout as it's in the same shopping center as Whole Foods, Michael's and a few other heavy foot/car traffic spots. read more

Breaks my heart because I love this Homegoods but I've experienced the absolute worse behavior from their customers. A large scary woman turned around threw herself at me yesterday & proceeded to cough in my face because I had a tickle in my throat. I tried to explain that I was not sick but she stood there and verbally abused me until she was done. I reported her to the first security personal I could find, he told me she was probably having a bad day, well my day wasn't swell either that why I was there shopping. Another time I had a woman steal items out of my cart & run away, I could not find her, also reported this but the security man just shrugged. Great store, great employees but the handling of some merchandise is poor, especially in the furniture department. There is a mid century modern desk I saw on my last visit to this location. It went for about $240 bucks. It's a looking desk, if didn't have all these scratches on it from leaving other boxes or other containers on it. I think the store should keep its better end items from places like the workspace but in the regular spot where the furniture is. Honestly if I didn't have a mid century desk at home, I would have bought it on the spot. I'm pretty sure there probably others who look at the desk and it was a turn down. Had a 'WTF' experience at this location. Some of my purchase included stuff from the clearance section, and when I got to the register a middle-aged Indian woman named Priya called her supervisor over, a chunky Hispanic woman named Carmen, to double check and make sure the clearance tags and prices were correct. WTF? I've never heard of that. Furthermore, they took a solid five minutes to check five items. A couple of the tags were in the wrong, whether the fault of the employees or customers. Ive become very critical and cynical of the outdated retail store business model as it has been exposed as the ripoff sham that it is. Ive been in this location and its the same old retail BS--new and overpriced items at the entrance to catch your eye, and the red tag sale items buried in the back. And then theres the typical stupid retail prices with the .99 at the end. Funny how this store is 99% women shoppers doing retail therapy (and TJMaxx wants them to keep the addiction!) I will continue to shop online and watch the demise of walk in retail stores! read more

A Runway section AND a Homegoods all in one location?!! Yes, and thus more than enough reason to stop by anytime I am remotely in the area. Everyone else might think the same as their massive parking lot is somehow always full, so full that there is not only not a spot, but also always other waiting for one as well. Lines inside are long, but they just have so much stuff!! Always worth the stop, plan plenty of time, with lines, parking and so much stuff bring patience and at least an hour of time. read more

If you're gonna go to TJ Maxx, or any discount departmant store, why not go to the most neat, most clean, most stocked one?! This TJ Maxx is fairly new and like most stores at The District, it's huge. I love the things you find here though... current, up to date stuff like the 2010 Food and Wine Guide, Coach bags and the the newest release from Dan Brown -- on the shelves at discounted prices! I also like that the dressing rooms are clean and there is always an attendant there, unlike at some of the other discount stores. You won't find clothes on the floor or piles of merchandise in the aisles. read more

I actually walked in here looking for a sweater. I left the house ill prepared for the day and after a few hours of wine, beer, food, and cheese tasting I was freezing and it would be pointless to back track home since I still had a lot of places to go and I didn't want to be cold. I think this is the only clothing store in the area even though it's called Home Goods. Target probably would have been a better choice but I completely forgot it was in the same area considering how The District is laid out. This TJ Maxx does have a section for clothes but I couldn't really find a sweater and the sweaters I did find needed to be washed or they had been on the floor which was unfortunate because I really just needed something quick. Bad choice on my part. Other than that, this place has tons of cute home decorating stuff. I really should come here more often to see what they have because I'm always looking for stuff. I went here to buy some things for my apartment as well as some business attire for interviews and whatnot. It's rather unfortunate that I'm a college kid and "poh" (poor). It would be nice to wear Express and whatnot.... Anyways, I thought this TJ Maxx was a bit small, but it was clean nonetheless. I'm big on home decorations as well as cooking utensils, so I thought the spread was fair. I ended up buying some wall stickers to add some life to my room and they were definitely more affordable than Target's wall stickers. Oh, I also bought frames that fit 5 4 x 6 pictures for 7.99 - which I thought was quite the steal. So Yelpers, if you want frames, I suggest digging through stuff at TJ Maxx to save your wallet some money. read more

Diaries of a shopaholic trophy husband. Ever since I quit my job, I have had a lot of free time. One of my favorite things to do during the day is shop here. There's a lot of odd knick-knacks and kitchen gadgets. This one time, I found a hand-made DAS BOOT straight from Holland for $9.99. Although it does not fit in any cupboards and I am supposed to limit my drinking, it was a pretty sweet find. My wife was pleased. the people that work at this location are so so cool. They are so nice and super helpful and super insightful when it comes to clothing and a lot of the things that they sell at t.j maxx. I bought them lipstick from my daughter and I don't really know a lot about lipstick but they were super helpful and explaining a lot of the things that I needed. They also suggested a couple of barrettes and a few t-shirts as well that they thought my daughter would like. It's hard for me sometimes the shop for my daughter because she's a teenager and I do not always know what they like but the person that was there really helped me and I feel like that was something that I will always cherish read more

This is by far one of the more organized TJ Maxx's that I've been through. And it is HUGE. I've been there mostly during my lunch hour or a quick browse for a last-minute gift so I never actually make it all the way through the store. They have a wonderful purse and luggage selection. It is organized by color so if you're in the mood to find a matching purse for those cute pumps, it isn' t a hard dig to find one. Some of the purse prices The shoe department is meh. It doesn't have a great selection to be completely honest. The purse department pales the shoe department in comparison. Overall, it is a good store. I like it. I hope to someday make it to the homegoods part. It's just if I need stuff for the home, I pass by Target before I get to TJ Maxx so I'm usually there for that stuff. read more

Went when the store opened on a Saturday. Busy. Staff had pallets of boxes and were stocking shelves during a busy shopping time. This blocked the aisles and made it difficult to navigate through the store and attempt to maintain social distancing. Suggest you stock before opening or not on a weekend. Also the shoppers are rude and clueless. Total disregard for signage. Stressful experience. Follow the signs people. Home Goods merchandise plentiful and good. Will not be back. I'm a dude, and I like this place. It's got good odds and ends for homes... especially when you want something holidayish, but you don't want to go full Clark Griswold. From high thread count bedsheets, to bathroom necessities, this HomeGoods has the biggest selection. And if you need the package of socks, or some new boxers, there's enough clothes here. I love to walk around this TJMaxx. It's on District, a very convenient shopping heaven in OC. This store is very large and has lots of selections, such as kitchen stuffs, home goods and of course, luggage. It takes a while to get to know all the stuffs in the store. I love TJ MAXX!! Great prices and when you find something it's like finding gold! They recently expanded their baby section and I found ralph lauren onesies and Calvin Klein baby clothes. I didn't buy any since our baby has enough clothes at the moment, but I did score on a great basket for her stuff. This location has to be my favorite one too since it's pretty big. Also their checkout is pretty fast, reminds me of a wells Fargo bank since there's a machine that tells you which register to go to. If you're in the area you should go. read more
