I really enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients and simplicity of good ingredients with good equipment and technique. Nothing was being hidden, instead every component was highlighted. There is a very nice menu for non-pizza dishes that is exceptionally good. Everything they do is home-made, including Gelato and other desserts. They use DeCecco pasta which is arguably the best pasta you can get - and not cheap. They also make their own bread which you can by for $5 a loaf - a bargain. They really care about using the best ingredients. It is not a big space - maybe holds 25 people for dine-in - but you can take out anything on the menu. They do not have a liquor license yet but they will do BYOB and they will take reservations. If I lived in the area I would be there at least once a week. This is such a great example of a wonderful local restaurant that is so far above chain trash. I don't give out 5 stars often but Pipinellis is a real deal Italian Trattoria that reminds me so much of mom and pop restaurants in Italy. Try it and you will be very pleased.
