We have ordered from this location twice. The first time I would have given a 5, pizza and wings were awesome. The second time we ordered wings and garlic sticks. Garlic sticks were cold, wings were overdone and some were burnt, very very dry. Didn't even finish them. Been eating TJ's since I moved here in 2007, and no complaints. They're nice people, the pizza is good, and it's better than the chain cardboard pizzas that you can get anywhere. Good crust, good toppings, good sauce. Just a nice pizza all around. I've been reading the previous reviews, and everyone messes up sometime. First time ordering from here. Ordered their Garlic Parmesan wings and Thai BBQ wings with potato wedges and mozzarella sticks. The guy on the phone said it would take 40 minutes, the food took almost an hour and a half. Nothing great about the food, it wasn't terrible, just very average. The Garlic Parmesan had no taste to it, friend and I debated whether this was even Garlic Parmesan. Mozzarella sticks and potato wedges tasted like they were cooked under a heat lamp. Also, found hair in my wings! Disgusting. Overall, probably would not order from here again unless every other place in Denton was closed. read more

Obsessed with this place since they deliver up to 2am on weekends and offer a 15% student discount if you're broke enough to be willing to get it carry out. Pizza is yummy by the best is their garlicky calzones and big tasty sandwiches. Highly recommend meatza calzone and brisket sandwich. Chicken wings might look a tad overpriced but it's because they're enormous. read more

Not the best ever but certainly much better quality ingredients than that of the chain pizza joints. The wings are very very good! I like to think I know wings and theirs are excellent. Not many flavor choices like at competing restaurants but they don't need it. The management is what I think brings this entire establishment down. I was a loyal customer and would get a pie from them at least once a week. I had a bad experience where I believe one of the delivery drivers was having a bad night and either dropped or threw my pizza on the ground. When I opened the box, all of the ingredients were smushed on one edge of the box... I tried to redistribute but it wasn't working so I called the restaurant to request the fix the issue. They tried to claim it was my fault because I changed 2 toppings on the pizza (yes, I made this clear BEFORE I ordered it and not after as that would be rude)!!! I didn't return for a couple of months. I tried again recently and had another good experience (no issues). Tonight, I ordered a pie and asked for double meat on it... they tried to charge me an extra $12 for the meat (for $15.00 I could have ordered a second pizza)!! I told them I didn't want the ridiculous upcharge and to just charge me for extra canadian bacon. They did so and added a $3.75 charge for a "custom order".... finally ... 2 hours go by and no pizza delivered. They then tell me they weren't clear on the order so they didn't make anything... but they certainly didn't forget to charge my credit card! Due to these experiences, I won't be going back, nor would I in good conscience recommend them to anyone. The food is quite good, but they seem to lack the basic fundamentals of good customer service. If you want good pizza in the Denton area, I recommend go to J&J's on the square. We were in town for a wedding, late at night and was hungry for wings and pie. Found TJ, very helpful on the phone with recommendations. Made the order and had it delivered to the hotel lobby. They said 40 minutes and it was there in 30. The food was GREAT and service WONDERFUL. So good we ordered our lunch for Sunday football at the hotel bar. Was not disappointed! You have to try this place!!! Every time I eat from TJ's it is TOP NOTCH. The pizza is perfect with fresh ingredients and just the right crunchy/chewy crust. The Meatball Lasagna is also amazing. The meatballs taste like they're made from scratch, not from a frozen grocery store bag. Everything taste like homemade. Plus, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The 2 stars are for the service not the pizza. The pizza itself it's normally really good. The service on the other hand is the worst. Multiple times I have gone to pick up my pizza and they can't find the order and have no made my pizza. I have called in the order and placed the order online and both ways they loose my order. They also will tell you it will be ready in 20 minutes and you will go to pick it up and it's cold. I've talked to the manger and he seems to not care that they have bad service. I live in Corinth and the Denton store would not deliver because I was 3 miles out of the delivery area and was referred to the Lewisville store. I then spoke to someone there who was in training... by the owner. The owner got on the phone and handled the issue although it was further for the delivery driver they made my order happen. The food is amazing and I'm glad I didn't give up on ordering! I ordered pizza and wings and I'm highly impressed!!! Robert the delivery guy was amazing, and very sincere. I was really excited to try this place, but ended up disappointed. I ordered a small spinach alfredo pizza togo. When I went to pick it up, it was slightly awkward.. They kind of all just stood there and stared at me while I paid out. Funny, but awkward.. The pizza itself was very disappointing. It was very bland and the spinach added alot of water to the actual pizza. It was just too much, barely tasted any alfredo. The crust was just typical cardboard crust too. I can understand liking this place before there were any other options, but for 50 cents more you minus well go to pie five near fry for the same sized pizza (but better) and unlimited toppings. read more

Good pizza, great wings! They offer a wider range of toppings than the average chain without the pretense or cost of yuppie pseudo-pizza joints. Pesto or Alfredo sauce, artichoke hearts, etc. The Maui Wowie is mighty tasty, and the spinach alfredo (hodl the bacon for vegetarians) is my regular order. Their wings are hickory smoked, not fried, so they have more flavor and less breading that most. The Atomic sauce will light you up! TJ's is open later than any other place that delivers on weeknights, so they get slammed every night around midnight. read more

Ohhh...this place is soo dangerous. I gained so much weight eating here. But the good food puts you in an excellent state of bliss. This is definently homemade food. It tastes REALLY good. As a college sophomore, this was one of my favorite places. They opened up a new location, and started messing up my orders. I chose to give them their space as they adjusted. Fast forward 4ish years. I moved back. So I decided to try again. It was not good. The crust tasted mushy which was why I originally stopped going. It's sad to know that things haven't changed.
