I got a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich on a white French roll bread. The bacon was cold like it was in the refrigerator. I expected they would warm it up, but no. Parts of the bread were hard, like it had gone stale. Very disappointing experience. read more

Was a bit disappointed with our sandwiches given all the positive reviews. We ordered a Tuna, Bacon, Cheese and Avocado sub and a Pastrami and Cheese sub. My fault for not asking. Their tuna is made with sweet relish which I don't care for. I ate about a quarter of my sandwich to satisfy my hunger and decided to throw the rest away. In my opinion, it wasn't worth the calories. Hubby said his pastrami had too much mustard and not enough meat. Although we prefer patronizing local businesses, especially during these trying times, can't say we will be returning for a second visit. read more

My family and I have been getting their Sandwiches for over 40 years, or as long as they've been opened. My number one THE Best is their pastrami and you've got to get it hot with pickles and mustard ONLY! The other things that they can add make absolutely NO sense to me. My second favorite is their simple BLT with avocado with just lettuce, mayo and a little mustard. BUT, The best part of this wonderful amazing place is simply their Hoagie Rolls. I don't know where they get them from but if I knew I'd most likely be weighing in at around 400 lbs, I'd eat them everyday and anyway. Just sayin'. I've lived so close to this place and just went here today! What an experience! We found the menu almost overwhelming because of the MANY choices. The best part of the menu is they have the subs divided into such convenient categories. I wanted avocado and there were so many varieties of sandwiches that included it all in a single column. Service was great. The owner was very nice. She was friendly and provided great service. When I asked for a receipt she gave it to me RIGHT AWAY. Avocado...this place uses fresh avocado in their sandwiches. The bread is also always fresh. Not like these other sandwich places that have super stale bread that cut up your gums when you eat it. The bread here is fresh, and everything here is made to order. I got the tuna with avocado on white, and it was completely packed. Usually I eat big sandwiches, but the half sized portion was more than enough to satisfy the sandwich craving I had. The seafood combo plate as well is amazing. The portion sizes are very generous, and the tartar sauce is out of this world! It isn't the kind that you would buy in a store, but I found out that they make their tartar sauce from scratch, and it definitely adds kick to the seafood and fries. Even though I am living in San Diego, I definitely wouldn't mind driving the 2+ hours it takes to get to La Puente from SD. If you are ever within the vicinity, do check it out. From what my wife and her friends told me, their sandwiches are good, probably 3 to 3.5-star worthy. I was the dummy who got the chicken teriyaki special plate. More like teri-yucky, actually. The chicken they use is frozen. How do I know? I saw them taking it out of the freezer, complete with freezer burn. Of course the meat was bland and dry. This was teriyaki stir fried with a LOT of bean sprouts and some broccoli and onions. I craved for Sub for lunch , so I yelped and found this place. The front desk lady was very helpful so that's a plus. I ordered the most popular sandwich , cold turkey cut with everything on it plus side of fries. The fries were loaded with Salt which I found it very odd. There were 2 thin sliced of red onion and tomato slice were small too, and with everything on it, it was very plain no taste. Either cause the fries was wayyyy too salty so the sandwich tasted like plain I don't know! But I do like how the bread taste very firm unlike subway!
