Two weeks ago Saturday my boyfriend, my eleven month old son, myself and 4 friends went to Wing's in Valley Park for food, drink and a good time; this was not the first time we had been to Wing's but would definitely be the last! We all met there around 5:30 and easily found a table for all as they weren't too busy. After my experience that night I understand why! To the left of the room we were sitting in is a "game room" there was a group of kids in their sports uniforms around 8-10 years old running wild, yelling, standing on chairs/tables and nothing was said by anyone. To the right of where we were sitting was the bar; I don't have to tell you what kind of foul language was being used by the crowd at the bar; glad my son was not old enough to understand what was being said; again nothing was said. We had been there a couple of hours; had a few buckets of beer, appetizers and then dinner; as with any child my son was in a high chair and like most; he needed to eat as well. We gave him a few fries, his baby food and some snacks - cheerios to be exact. As the night went on I commented that he was making a mess and we would need to clean it up before we left. No sooner than those words came out of my mouth, "The Manager", came over looked at us and asked if we intended on cleaning up our mess. My first reaction was "EXCUSE ME"! He then said do you let him make a mess like this at home? I explained that he was eleven months old and unfortunately does not always hit his mouth; and yes he does do this at home and yes I clean up the mess at home and would clean up the mess in his restaurant. Still in a state of shock I shook my head as to clear my thoughts as he walked away. He then returned with a broom and dust pan and said "Here you go"! He then stood there and watched as I cleaned up after my son. My Boyfriend returned the broom and dust pan. As we were walking out the door the Bartender, who happens to be the owners son; felt it necessary to start verbally attacking me by calling me a pig and a slob in so many words, for all to hear. Almost as though he wanted to pick a fight with us...... My point here is simple; we spent well over $100 dollars, we were not loud or obnoxious like the children to the left of us or the drunks at the bar to the right of us! We were not finished with our drinks or our night; yet "The Manager" decided for us that it was time to go by asking us to clean up after our eleven month old child at that moment! Our Waitress was embarrassed, apologized and assured us that she did not mind cleaning up the "mess". The Bus Boy was embarrassed and also offered to clean up for us. We cleaned up "The Mess" ended our night early; took the rest our money with us; which The Manager obviously did not need even though there were empty tables throughout the establishment. Guess Wing's has their preferred guests and does not need new customers or good reviews from others. Guess they don't care how many people hear my story and decide not to stop in for lunch, dinner or a drink! I hope you think twice before entering their establishment; customer service isn't their strong suit; fowl language, drunks, "okay" food, and a rude, disrespectful, punk for a manager, and a Momma's boy Bartender who can do whatever he wants cause Mommy own's the place is what you will find! read more

Stopped here for some wings and even though they were out of several things the wings were top notch. The onion rings are great and the only thing that I would recommend is that order the wings extra crispy because if not they come out soggy but ordered right they are the way to go and TJ's is a place that we will be back to visit. Been here several times and the food was pretty good. Went recently and the food was not good at all. The wings were dry with hardly any sauce I then at all. Passing through and stopped. Boneless wings are no better than a McDonald chicken nugget. Round and deep fried. Salad was iceberg lettuce from a bag with shredded mozzarella. To top it off we ordered to go and they didn't have utensils for us. What? I would never have ordered a salad to go if I wouldn't get utensils. Waiter didn't much care. Ordered 1 order of boneless wings & 1 order of bone in to go. Got home and they were both bone in. When I called to ask about picking up an order of the correct wings, I was told I could "pay for some more if I really wanted them". Also found a hair in the fries. Ok let's start of by saying we have always loved TJ Wings! The wings are the best! But this last pick up showed us exceptional customer service as well!! I picked up the wings my wife ordered on the way home from work and took them home. We opened the box up and actually were surprised because for the first time ever the wings looked over cooked. I called down there to see if I could run down and get some new ones. Not only did they make us new ones when I said the ones we got were a bit over cooked but they even brought them to our HOUSE! Ehh, I don't get it. The food was okay, and the staff was friendly and mostly attentive (except for the 10 minutes or so that it took to get my bill). But some folks I know that have been here just rave about the wings. And I just don't see it. They aren't bad, but seem typical of a lot of other places. I got the cajun wings. While they were good, they just seemed to be standard hottish wings but without a whole lot of cajuniness to them. I also got an order of skinny fries, which were normal-size fries. I guess the regular/fat fries must be enormous. I was expecting something like shoestring fries. Guess I should have inquired about the name first. Not that they were bad. And the size of the serving of fries was huge. Now the wife's BBQ boneless winds were pretty good. But again, just hunks of white meat chicken covered in a sweetish BBQ sauce. read more

This is a great local bar - it's close to home and the fairly recent menu updates have been great! I'm a vegetarian so it's hit or miss at many bar and grills in terms of finding decent food. I can recommend the grilled cheese without a doubt - delicious! They have excellent fries, too. Drinks are affordable, service is quick, and food is yummy; what more could you ask for? read more

Service was terrible tonight, our waitress barley ever came around. We were constantly looking for her to order our food and even to reorder our drinks twice. Our food was TERRIBLE and one of our family members meals didn't come until 10 minutes after we all got our food. Another family member food was disgusting and tasted absolutely terrible. Came here to try the breakfast pizza. It was good (only suggestion is I would have liked the gravy to spread more evenly across the crust). Tried both style of hash browns, and both were very good. Service was good. We sat on the patio. It is very nice. It was 87 degrees out and slightly humid, but the fans kept it very comfortable. read more

Every time I come to TJ Wings, I am greeted with a smile and leave with a full belly! I have tried many good items over the year and I have never left hungry or disappointed! This place isn't worthy of this star. Ive live in the area now for 18 years and every time ive tried to sit at the bar with my wife to have a drink i get dirty looks by the apparent regulars. Their over serving of patrons and the bullying by some woman named tanya is something i have never seen. Theres two young men that seem to be managers which later i found out were Tanyas sons are without a doubt two of the most uneducated, ill mannered individuals i have ever met. When i ask for help from either of them it was addressed by a low intelligence response. The food is okay, and honestly theres no drink or food specials which ive never not seen at a bar/restaurant. The decor is dated and the the mens bathroom has had a broken toilet forever. It supposed to be a neighborhood bar but it sure seems like a hobby of the owner paid for by the drunk regulars. I work 2nd shift at my company and ive been buy at 2am and have seen people in there drinking which i dont believe isn't legal in st. Louis county. Its a great spot and i would only hope someone come in... buy it and turn it into a more family oriented establishment where your greeted with a smile and have the ability to sit at the bar without consequence. read more

Having been to TJ's a few times before I stopped in to get a beer and something light/quick for a late lunch, maybe fries or nachos. I set the bar and Mark (heard his name during my stay) asked me what I wanted obviously annoyed I interrupted his watching of a football game with what appeared to be regulars at the end of the bar. I said, "Bud Light please, Bud Light isn't working he said." Nothing more, no suggestions, alternatives. I could go on a rant about the poor service but I will limit it to saying I had to ASK for everything from a menu to another drink to more ranch dressing, etc. I guess I should be regretful that I interrupted his football game and the $109 he kept complaining about losing but... not my problem.... nor was I evidently as a customer. read more

Busy Saturday evening, called in to check wait for 8 top. Said it might be 45 minutes to an hour, so 6 of us headed up in 1 car. Checked in at front with our name, and again, maybe an hour wait. Our other 2 guests arrived. We watched as table after table was re-seated. We asked several times about wait and even said we would split our group. After over 2 hours asked again, and was told they were waiting for a table still. I asked how could this be we have now watched 4-6 tables be re-seated again! Talked to Manager and Bartender. They gave my wife a shot for her Birthday, then brought her a dessert for her birthday? What? We haven't even had our dinner yet. Then the hostess comes up to me and says, oh, your table was already seated. And how is that, Im standing here not seated. Total failure! Bartender took a beer off my tab, thanks! After well over 2 hours, we were seated. Sat another 15 minutes without a waitress, then another 15 without menus. We had to go find our own silverware. All while we watched the staff slurp down red wine. When I approached the manager, the head bus lady, comes up and argues with me saying there was only 2 of us and that is why we were not seated. LIE! Six of us came in 1 car! Hostess was clueless, told me our table kept getting given away when she was in the bathroom, really? Will not be back, complete incompetence. Staff couldn't have cared less, and continued to complain about us until we left. read more

Never order a bomb shot. I ordered 2 last week and they charged me 9 a shot. We literally got a splash of redbull and were charged 2.25 per shot for the redbull. Complete joke, as I bartend and always give extra redbull or serve the shot in a bigger glass. You are better off ordering the chilled shot of vodka and a side of redbull. TJ's Wings is decent bar to go for a casual date or outings with friends. It is very close to my house, so my girlfriend and I go here with some regularity. The food is good, decent bar food. We always get the boneless wings. They are always good in size and the sauce is pretty standard. I'm a beer drinker, and this is one of the few bars around that serves Michelob Golden, which is a huge draw for me and what I typically keep in the kegerator at home. The patio is awesome, even during the winter because they have two rows of raised gas heaters and firepits in the corners. There are TV's everywhere, even on the patio. My biggest complaints are that it can get pretty crowded, and the service is usually pretty slow (but always friendly), so order pitchers or put in your drink order early. read more

We have been coming here about twice a month for the past 5 years or so. Although we like the wings and food the atmosphere is making it impossible to return. For the second week in a row we have been displaced by the owners friends. Last week it was outside on the patio, this week it was inside because they were all at the bar, along with the owner, laughing , yelling and screaming. One of them was dancing on the bar. We were not alone in our disgust. We met another family leaving too. I feel like customers should be able to have a conversation at their table and it was impossible our last 2 visits. We have not yet "dined-in" but have ordered carry-out with hot & honey wings and salad. Both are great. We ask for extra crispy and they are always perfect. We also get extra sauce on the side. Prices are in line with other competitive wing restaurants but are so much better. They have other sauces, as well. We tried the cajun (based on a commending review) but didn't care for it. I must start by saying I never write reviews however, I called to make an order to be picked up and when I got there to pick up the food I was told the order had been lost. Nothing was said other than, "do you know what you ordered?" I did not because my wife had ordered and I was to told the establishment was sorry or offered anything for the inconvenience l. I called to speak to a manager and he was very rude. Finally, he did offer a $20 coupon and said, " know what pal, don't come back and hung up on me." I've gone to TJ's Wings a couple times now. And they trick you into spending more money! Every time! They charge you extra for everything- even ranch. I recently went with five other people around 12. When ordering our food our waitress asked us if we wanted skinny fries or steak fries as if it comes with the meal, but it doesn't. The waitress should ask if we would like to ADD the fries, but poses the question as if it's not extra. If you order wings and want ranch or bleu cheese, too bad because that's extra too. They will not tell you the side of ranch is extra either and give you two when you ask for one and charge for both. Happened to me twice. I went with on friend about a month ago and asked for a side of ranch and received two and when we got the bill we said "we didn't know ranch costed extra" and the server said "yeah" and walked away without apologizing or trying to fix it. Extremely frustrating because it's happened multiple times not just once. The servers there are in street clothes and do not look put together at all... You can see them talking near the bathroom area when you need something... the food was okay but nothing you can't get somewhere else cheaper. Bottom line: bad service okay food. read more

Waited patiently for a table at the LOUD and obnoxious bar. One person actually yelled 4 feet away from me to someone behind me. He then looked at me and said, in a drunken slur, "Oops... bet you didn't like that". Who knows why we didn't leave at that point, but shortly afterwards, we got a table. We waited 20 minutes for a server. No luck. So... no drinks, no hearing left, no food... we left. I don't think an experience at a restaurant can get any worse than that. Stay away! read more

Wonderfully fresh, totally generous in size and loaded with egg and meat, this chef salad is perfect and easily feeds two if you order the large.................and the wings, to die for as well as great burgers. Friendly staff and reasonably priced food. It's not a dress up place but if you want value and gracious treatment as well as great popular food, go here. read more

Great wings, I've tried a couple of their entrees and all were good. The waitresses took care of us and the drinks were awesome and very reasonably priced. Seems like a lot of people are regulars there. I could see becoming a regular too. Good job! read more
