Tony was great! I called because we had a slow draining bathtub that was affecting our toilets as well. He came to our house and thoroughly checked out all of our plumbing while explaining in detail what he was looking for. Tony was at our house for at least an hour. He couldn't find a problem and was unable to recreate our problem. He wasn't willing to snake our house or do anything that was unnecessary and take our money for no reason. After reading Yelp reviews for plumbers in my neighborhood, I decided to go w/ Tony. I called him re: replacing a gas valve at about 9am on a Monday and he met my husband at the house w/in the hour. My husband found him to be pleasant and professional. Tony of Tl Plumbing is excelllent! I found Tony thru Yelp and contacted him yesterday. My shower and sink were draining really slow and my regular plumber was not available, so once again I turned to Yelp and found a gem. Tony called me back the same day and came the following day right on time. He gave me a quote over the phone which was half of what another plumber quoted me. I called TL Plumbing after I had been told by Tiffany at my usual Plumber "The Family Plumber" that it would be around 100$ to look at my toilet, and they couldn't come until Monday. Tony called me back within 3 minutes of leaving a message. I told him my problem and he said he would be here to give a free estimate within about 30 minutes. True to his word, he arrived within about 20 minutes, gave me an estimate and cleared my toilet for 55$. He also adjusted some nuts and bolts tightening my toilet lid.... Best plumbing experience I've ever had. Left a message at 8:12AM on a Saturday and got called back at 8:14AM. He said he had one other job and would call in about an hour and a half. Called at 9:51AM and was here ten or fifteen minutes later. Was done within an hour and apologized for it taking so long (this after I'd already fished a woman's razor from the shower drain, so god knows what else was in there). TL Plumbing AKA Tony was great. He just left here and I could not be more pleased with his service. I called him this morning at 8 he was here in 30 minutes. He walked me through what he was going to do and gave me a price quote. The price he quoted me on was great! My issue was that when I could do my laundry, the water backed up to my kitchen sink. He snaked the line along with saying that the dishwasher was drain was installed incorrectly. He repaired all of that all at a reasonable rates. He is professional. He pays attention to the detail by having me run my washer and sink at the same time to make sure his work was complete. He works by himself and unfortunately he has said he is getting too old to work on bigger projects ie big apartments. I joined Yelp specifically to write a glowing review of TL Plumbing and its proprietor, Tony. All of the other reviews are spot-on (and all of those reviewers give Tony five stars). Tony is prompt, extraordinarily helpful, and probably underpriced. In my case, he would only accept a fraction of his service-call price if he was unable to clear my blocked waste line (which would require the same work as clearing it). Of course he was able to clear the line, but continued to work for 30 more minutes to make sure the line was thoroughly cleaned. Put differently, he worked twice as long as he was paid for because he actually cares about his customers. Note that I do most of the work on my house myself and only call in a professional when I don't have the right tools for the job. So I can usually tell when someone is giving sound advice instead of just trying to sell work. If Tony tells you need something, then just say "ok" and get out your checkbook because he's trying to save you money. read more
