We were shown samples of Mohawk carpet at our house and we chose "Homefront 3" (the highest quality) but we were deceived and forced to accept an inferior quality but same color carpet to be installed. We also asked them verbally and in writing many times to bring the same samples shown to us before at our house along with the carpet we chose to be installed first before the installation so that we can match what we chose and we would be getting, but this highly rude owner (David Simon) of this company not only refused to do so as per agreement but also compelled us to come to his showroom again and see the sample and the carpet there which made no sense because he could have shown us any thing to there which did not mean that we would be getting the same carpet we chose to be installed at hour house. But having no choice and paying half money in advance in cash (he preferred to be paid by cash) we went to his showroom and he showed a small (about 8X10 feet) piece of carpet of the same color with no manufacturer's specification on it which seemed lesser in thickness and quality, so we refused to accept it. At that point he started yelling at us and he was very disrespectful with my wife. When we demanded our money back, not only he refused to do so but also challenged us to do whatever we can. We left his showroom with disappointment and regret why we chose to do business with this company. Having no choice again, we decided to accept the inferior quality carpet he was trying to sell. So, my wife called him to agree with him, but at this point he was more ruder and dictatorial and said that he does not trust us (we are senior citizens) and if we have to install the carpet I do not know when it would be installed but if we agree to do so. you have to pay the remaining half money in advance in cash. This was another violation of the sales agreement (by way the the sales agreement this company wrote for us without our consent has no terms and conditions on it in case either party defaults or want to cancel or to seek amendment in it). We felt like a hostage at this point and kept thinking what to do to get out of this enforced mess on it. Finally we requested an attorney from a church to seek help. This attorney is a nice man but very old and retired an we did not know his license was inactive and not able to take this company to court. He was of no help and for some reasons spoke in favor of this mighty company and told us to avoid being sued by this company. Now it is more than two months this company is not only holding our money illegally but demanding more money and threatening to sue us because he knows it is going to cost us more to go to court, and when as matter of fact neither this company ever delivered and installed the carpet we chose at our house nor even followed the flawed sales agreement it wrote for us. For some reasons there are many reviews in favor of this company but please read the reviews of a few victims of this company specially when it comes the review Ms. Nancy S. She faced the same what are being made to suffer.

We decided to go with LVP, over the top of the old wood and tile (sanded). All furniture was gently moved, the work was done over 2-3 days and looks amazing. Slightly more affordable, 1000% more honest, and friendly. I worked with Tom and don't rember names of people who did the work but everything was great. If you want an extra box of flooring make sure you ask for it before they deliver the wood/laminate/vinyl for your project or you may need to pay shipling for it.

Exploring Flooring installed all of our carpet back in 2010. It's still going strong in 2026. We…read morehad it done on stairs, all bedrooms, and living room. When our puppy did too many accidents in our upstairs area, we replaced the hallway and master bedroom with Kardean Luxury Vinyl Tile. At the time, Exploring Flooring did not glue down LVT and only had the lock down type, so we used another company. We love the livability and washability of Luxury Vinyl Tile. Our friend who installs these floors commercially recommended the Kardean brand and to do the glue down version. He was spot on. Recently, I had a measuring done to either refinish our downstairs cherrywood floors or cover them with Kardean vinyl. Tom came out right away but got confused as to my email address. I think they need a company email address, because we played a bit of email tag trying to communicate. Some things that I wonder about. The other company that came out was willing to fix up some not so great areas with new cherrywood trim--ie around half bath vanity that has bare gap areas at bottom and fp that has a very large gap around it (EF said for me to use some type of expandable filler but I think that will be ugly in a inch or more gap). EF also said they don't install new quarter round trim around floor which is a nice touch another place does as standard. You could always hire it out, I suppose. The cherrywood trim pieces is more of an issue for me. Exploring Flooring's quote for refinishing our cherrywood is around $900 less than the other place, so I guess it equals out. The other place wanted $5400 for about a 530 square foot area, so I thought that was a bit pricey. Exploring Flooring is $4500. As far as luxury vinyl quote to glue down Kardan on top of the hardwood, I'm still waiting, but the quote to float Kardean tile on top of the existing floor (an option, but not my fav) is the same as the other company. However, no particular type of Kardean is mentioned, even though I requested the quote on Tergo. All in all, a bit of a hassle to get specifics, but may be a great option overall, if overall pricing is better.

If I could post a picture, I would, my 2000 sq/ft floors turned out gorgeous!…read more It's pleasantly challenging to try and rank what I liked best about the service I received from All American Hardwood Floors, but number 1 would have to be service. Anytime I tried to reach the company, "Johnny J" (owner) always answered, friendly as could be. He explained the process from beginning to end, starting with why the wood needs a couple days in the home before installation. I don't know much about installing floors but I really felt like he was doing it right and not rushing to make the sale or get it done. The workers were fast and meticulous when it came to their work and cleanliness. I paid a extra to have them rip out the carpet, something I could have done my own, but nice to have someone else do for you and haul it away. Choosing a color stain was a challenge and I probably annoyed "Johnny" with my indecision, but ultimately with his advice I chose the best color for my home. Dogs and Hardwood Floors... I have TWO large dogs and they are rough on the floors but you would never know it. They've held up beautifully and again, Johnny's experience came into play as he consulted me with what finish to go with that would show the least amount a "dog nail" wear and tear. If you're in the market or having a tough time picking between two installers, I don't think you can go wrong with All American Hardwood Floors. They were not the cheapest bid I received and the were not the most expensive... I shopped around and they were extremely competitive. The owner seems like a very respectable hardworking family man.
