We have had food here many times and it has always been great. Not this time though. We got the lasagna and cheese bread deal, and a salad. Lasagna was terrible for lack of better terminology, it was undercooked, the interior ingredients look haphazardly slapped between the noodles and it just did not taste good, cheese bread was undercooked, and the salad had minimal toppings. I often order from Toarmina's and have never had anything but great food. I ordered a pizza and salad this evening and it was by far the best I have ever had. It was $3.99 cheese and one topping day. The guy on the phone was SO RUDE! I asked could I choose my topping he said very sternly NO JUST PEPPERONI OR CHEESE. There was only two pieces of meat and you could have read a book through them, l asked for no onions because l do not like them l tasted onions on them, there was no mushrooms at all! I used the coupon for their 24 inch pizza. It also included a order of bread sticks and a two litter of any Pepsi products. I'm a cheese lover so I paid extra for extra cheese. As prices are increasing everywhere I've noticed that my go to pizza shop and others have been cutting back on cheese. That's why I've been trying new places. I was amazed at the amount of cheese and the overall taste of toarminas. Not to mention the value being best around. Good Friday early dinner at Mom's. Choices include grilling in the rain or Torminas Deluxe Pizza. Well, since I'm writing a review I'm sure you've probably figured put what we chose. Lol We ordered the 24" Deluxe with 1/4 of it with Cheese and Pepperoni only (for the kids). On top of that, I had a 3 free coupon in which we also got the bread sticks, dessert cinnamon sticks and a 2 liter of Pepsi. We got all that for a total of $27.45. Not too bad in my book... :) The pizza was still hot when we got home, and everything was fresh and tasty. The bread sticks were fresh and warm and awesome. The dessert sticks were ok, but not anything I'd pay for as I'm not much of a dessert person, pizza always hits the spot with me! Disappointed to say the least. I ordered the large 3 topping pizza. Bacon / pepp / sausage, Well done with butter park sesame crust. They called and told me they didn't have any Italian sausage so I just told them okay and asked them to adjust the price. I get there and they hand me the pizza. Its not right, it's only pepperoni. I asked them to make me the right pizza this time and they asked me if I'd like to keep the pizza and then get this one additionally. I refused. I'm not paying for their screw up. So I hand them my cheese bread back and ask that to be remade as well since the pizza will take 15/20 minutes and I didn't want my bread cold. They gave me an attitude about it. Said they had to throw perfectly good food away. I go sit in my car for 20 minutes and when I walked in to get my pizza, I instantly check it, and the bread had a ring in the middle of it where the "sauce" originally was on the first bread they gave me.... so they didn't make me a fresh cheese bread, they just threw it under a heat lamp for 20 minutes. So now my food is crappy, not well done, and I don't see any crust flavoring on it. Frank Toarmina's needs to do some under cover boss thing and handle this shit because it's not a nice way for me to spend some of my paycheck on my family's dinner for it to be this poorly made. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love Tormina's usually, but when we decided to cash in on a coupon and pick up a big Sicilian after a day of shopping, I've never been more disappointed. We ordered a large Sicilian and a Tormina bread. When we got the pizza home, it was lukewarm, the dough was grossly undercooked and it seemed like they tossed the pizza onto a box that was wet. The crust was soggy. No crispness to it, nor was there any real flavor. Not nearly enough sauce was used under the cheese, or on top. To top it off, they forgot our garlic spread for the Tormina bread. When I called to let them know, they said they were too busy to discuss it with a customer who already had their food. If you're in the Westland area, stick to the Wayne Rd. location just past Cherry Hill Rd. It's much better. I'll NEVER try this one again under any circumstance. read more

We, on the other hand, on the way home to Alaska...ordered from this place from our hotel room. The order taker was way friendly and cool, took the time to explain the stuff we wanted. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and two ham and cheese subs and canolli. Everything was fantastic! It came directly to our room in 30 minutes, cost half as much as what we'd pay in Anchorage and tasted way better. Great pizza - the kind with the chewy, bubbly crust, lots of cheese...the sandwiches were baked so they were crispy on the outside and hot and melty inside. My 12 year old said it was the best ham and cheese "ever". And the cannoli....mama mia!!! So creamy and smooth and the cookie crust thingy was actually crispy! So many I have had were soggy...This place was really good. It made our last night before getting on the plane really nice. read more

I used the online ordering feature offered by this vendor. Fairly cooperative to use. I ordered a lg square cheese pizza with garlic crust along with cinnamon bread and a 2 liter. The pizza was burnt around perimeter yet I tasted no garlic. There was a more than adequate amount of cheese however as the pizza cooled off the cheese became gummier and gummier. The cinnamon bread was not cut through all the way to cutting board and very hard to pull apart along the lines left by the cutter. Also I found the amount of glaze to be less than satisfactory. I had the worst experience here a little over a week ago. A night worker maybe a night manager who said his name was Leery verbally berated me as I had already paid and was a about to walk out with my meal in hand when he let out a rant about how he thinks that my ESA should never be permitted inside any business, outside the other businesses in the other businesses in the area. My dog has always been welcome here and in the area businesses and outside, especially by the owner of this particular business. This worker claims to have been observing us in and around the business and outside in the area over time and shared he doesn't like our being around. I had no idea he's been watching us! Frankly I am scared and I reached out to the owner with no response after an entire week gone by. This is unsettling to me, my family, my neighbors, and my work place. As I left shaking my head, he shouted out that we stank up the lobby, as well, because it was raining outside and we walked there because of no transportation and no rain when we first left. I hope this individual gets the mental health support he needs but we will never be back as this was by far the most horrible experience I've experienced in a long time. I'm mortified a grown business person would be so insensitive, careless, and frankly, downright mean to anyone little lone a regular and loyal consumer. read more

I actually feel bad for this review, they are usually much better. We ordered 3 pizzas 1 large with everything, and 2 large pepperoni on Friday. The large with everything was a little overcooked but still good. The 2 pepperoni were not up to the normal standards it was edible but crust was tough and the cheese seemed different. We wrote it off to a busy evening. We have ordered subs from this location and they were excellent. We usually order from Wayne road location but moved last summer and we are right on edge of both stores. read more
