Our party of 10 stopped in at Toast! and had a wonderful experience. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, which included omelets, shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, avocado toast, fried green tomatoes, and two orders of beignets. The fried green tomatoes were the table favorite- SO good!! The Snickerdoodle Latte, Bloody Mary, and Peach Bellini Mimosa were also great! We sat outside on their patio, and had quick service despite the large size of our group. Our server, Aaron, took great care of us and was so kind- one of the best servers I've ever had! Would absolutely recommend giving Toast a try

Toast! All Day was a breath of fresh air! I walked in for a late morning breakfast last week while on vacation in the Charleston area and was immediately seated. The menu was expansive (not expensive) - there was so much to choose from! You can eat as healthy or unhealthy as you want! But, once I saw my all time breakfast favorite, Steak and Eggs, my decision was made! I added cheese to the eggs and the side of grits, and I ordered a Bloody Mary to go along with it! It was an excellent breakfast! The service was great definitely check them out!

Toast was a great spot in West Ashley. It is right off of 17. Fairly easy to get in and out of the parking lot, which is shared with a few other businesses, such as a grocery store. We went in during a busy morning, but our service was great. Very efficient! I enjoyed the shrimp and grits! The environment is casual.

Combo - eggs scrambled perfectly with cheddar, bacon, white toast and yummy grits.

Ate here on a Saturday a few weeks ago and it was our second visit. We have a kid going g to school in Charleston, thus the frequent trips. Forgot to write a review the first time, but both trips were consistently great (right down to the same server!). Our first trip we started with the beignets. They were amazing! So light and fluffy. The jam they come with is yummy, too. This time we skipped them, as we were pressed for time and wanted to get on the road. Still kicking myself! They have a great menu and one would think we would try something new this trip, but one would be wrong. I got the standard breakfast combo with eggs, bacon, grits and toast. I always judge a place by their scrambled eggs. Watch any food network show and you know perfect scrambled eggs just aren't as easy as they look. Cook them too long and they turn to rubber and worse, have crispy pieces. Too short, and they are runny. Toast made them perfect both times! I ordered them scrambled with cheddar and both times they came out with a generous amazing of melty cheddar cheese. Just like I do them myself at home! The bacon was cooked well - not overly crisp and not limp. And the grits were exactly as grits should be. Hubby had the steak and eggs again. Here's the thing with breakfast steak and eggs - the steak is smaller of course, and that means harder to cook to order. Hubby likes his steak rare. Both visits they were on the money with the rare steak! It was also not a tiny gristly thing like many breakfast places do. His sunny side up eggs were done well, too. Nice runny yolks. The service is fairly fast, friendly and the food is fantastic! We'll definitely be back when we're in the area at the end of the month. Maybe I'll try something else on the menu?

The service was excellent but the food not so much. I love grits but the grits here were too salty. My wife loves corn beef hash but did not like it here.

Not quite a diner, not quite a bistro, I'd define Toast as a casual sit down restaurant where you can get breakfast, lunch or both! The food was delicious. We started with the candied bacon and I had the fried tomato BLT. Ended with a to go caramel latte that wasn't quite a coffee, but more like a delicious melted milkshake. Will be back!

Gross overcooked "poached" eggs actually not even poached and theres no hollandaise. This is supposedly the eggs benedict florentine.

Came here for a New Year's Day brunch and got a New Year's Disappoinment. I've been to other Toast locations and it was way better than this so I thought why not?! Upon first walking up, the patio looks dingy and uninviting. For a city like Charleston which such great weather all year round, you'd expect a nicer looking patio. So we sat inside. The vibe Inside wasn't much better. Looked like it used to be nice, but run down. Still decided to be optomistic. Ordered the hibiscus mimosa which was the one and only star of the day. I decided to order the eggs benedict florentine. And my fiance ordered the corned beef hash with a biscuit and gravy. Food took what seemed like forever to come. The benedict didn't even come with a hollandaise, the eggs were OVERCOOKED rubbery, aboination to eggs. The rest of the ingredients looked nasty as well. I didn't touch it...didn't want a replacement. Just got it comped. But cmon how is that even a benedict? Ugh the nastiest thing I've ever seen on a plate at brunch. My boyfriend did like his corned beef hash and biscuits and his eggs were cooked kind of decent. Won't be coming back, wouldn't recommend anyone else come here either.

I have had Shrimp and Grits places where the gravy/sauce over powers everything and is almost like soup, but here it was perfect! The Chicken and Waffles was a huge portion that my mom and I decided we may split next time. It was super delicious and she let me take her leftovers home( insert happy food dance)! The resturant is kind of small so it does get to be a little loud and crowded. Don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table. There is plenty of artwork and stickers all over the walls to keep you entertained while you wait. The corner by the bathroom has a small selection of local products like grits and honey along with stickers, shirts and hats for the resturant. We will definitely be repeat customers!

We came for breakfast and started with the banana bread with Nutella cream cheese -- absolutely incredible. We also split the cornmeal pancakes, which were so good we came back the next morning just to have them again. I ordered the B.E.C. with the home fries, and I can honestly say they may have been the best potatoes I've ever had in any form. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and they practically melted in my mouth. My husband had the turkey club and said it was fantastic as well. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and memorable. We loved it so much we went back the very next day. 10/10 -- highly recommend if you're visiting Charleston!

Everything was pretty standard and there was not something that we absolutely loved. The grits were a heavier dish while the avocado on the toast was more like a spread. The chicken and waffle salad had waffle "croutons" but it kind of just tasted like an older waffle dried up. The chicken in the salad was a little thicker than it should have been. The pimento cheese and crackers were very tasty. The ambiance is fast casual and it is very hush there. Our server Hamilton was very kind and helpful.

Everyone just fits in, no matter if you're the black sheep! Seating is a little limited, but worth the wait. I guess the first person I ran into was a manager, he introduced himself, (legit, "Hi my name is Bryan" and shook my hand!) (Post Script, the handshake is pervasive here, literally both bartenders were introduced to me and both came up and shook my hand.) I had checked this place out from other Yelp reviews and already knew I wanted the Fish and Chips, so after my beer order, I was shocked and awed that without asking, he brought the Malt Vinegar! You know it's gonna be the bomb already! The fish arrived very quickly! Bruh...this fish was legit. A large solo iceberg of fried perfection crested upon a wave of fresh made "chips " and they were clearly fresh made, not the frozen variety. The beer batter on this fish was so good I was in heaven. I thought it might be heavy and greasy, and yet somehow it held only flavor, crunch, and absorbed my Malt Vinegar to perfection. This place is packed with regulars and it clearly seems to attract other service industries personnel. All good signs of a good time! This may have been my first visit, but won't be my last!
