We stopped in after hearing from a friend that it was pretty good - we aren't friends anymore. Water tastes like blood, so get bottled water. Service was slow and as we were waiting for food this strobe light came on (around 10am) that was distracting and a bit much for the morning. I have a light sensitivity and have had seizures before, so we asked for our food to go. We got home to eat and were disappointed. "Overstuffed omelets" were rather small and under stuffed. Finally a decent restaurant in this awesome location. While other operators have fallen flat on their face in this spot, I really believe Mike and his team have what it takes to make it work. The sunsets offered here are among the best in OC. The menu is varied and all selections are quite good. Parking can be an issue so be sure to have a plan. Do not park in the lots of surrounding condos as that will be costly. You can use the Worcester St. public parking lot and walk a quick and easy two blocks and enjoy the view of the yachts along the way. We loved everything! We sat outside and what a great view! The bartender/waiter was engaging and attentive to our needs. Great happy hour specials! The orange creamsicles were refreshing! We ordered fried ravioli which was tasty. The fried eggplant tower was delicious. Each layer had sauce and cheese. Could have had it as a meal. We ordered a Bianca pizza. We got delivery from here the other evening. We did the 3 of the 18" pies and a Caesar salad. We did cheese, pepperoni and the hammer which was absolutely delicious take on a Buffalo chicken pizza! There was 6 adults eating and we ended up having so much leftovers because of how large the pizzas were but nothing wrong with that! Stopped here for brunch. I had the chipped beef and a mimosa and my girlfriends both had build your own breakfast sandwiches. All tasted pretty good. Home fries came out a little cold and the chipped beef had a sweet taste to it, which I'm not h. Menu said mimosas were $5, but they were $8 as advertised online. read more

Have heard how good the pizza's are here and that they have specials on Mondays for the large pizzas. Very nice atmosphere and beautiful view near the Ocean City Inlet and the Route 50 bridge. We ordered our drinks and Monday's specially priced large Pizza. Our pizzas came out in a timely manor and tasted pretty good. By now our drinks were empty, and we seemed to have a problem of getting our waitresses attention for a refill. Something I really hate to do as a restaurant customer, is having to get up from my seat to refill my own glass of water, as it may have a profound effect on tip percentages. After finding our waitress, I asked for the check and a to go box. When our waitress brought the check, it oddly had a mathematical calculation deduction that I had to make, because I was paying in cash and not by credit card. I'm confused why this was on the check at all without asking me first what method of payment I will be using, thus eliminating any credit card fees. On the check it said, "Credit Card Processing fee (DEDUCT IF PAYING CASH) (3.00%). So for my check it was $1.12, however, since I was paying in cash, $1.12 would be deducted from my check. I asked our waitress to please make the deduction and to please bring me my change. She examined the check thoroughly and said that I was not being charged the $1.12. I assured her I already did the math and since I'm not paying by credit card, please deduct the 3% credit card fee off my check as it was already calculated in and included. She brought to me my change as if I had paid by credit card, without the deduction for cash. Rather than making this an issue in front of my guest, I just deducted my own percentages for what I leave on the table. Why anyone would think this is the proper way to do business, is beyond me. If this restaurant was hurting for money, then maybe don't have a special you can't afford or perhaps reevaluate some menu items. Either way, DO NOT rip off your customers, especially when they know you're ripping them off, it will only insult their intellect which is a no-win on your part. It becomes a matter of principle over price which you will lose every time in the number of customers you keep. Our waitress definitely tried to challenge my intellect and my guess is, she probably doesn't even know it, so I wish her well. read more

Traffic was terrible heading into OC on a Saturday evening. Saw this place on the right and decided let's give it a try! So glad we did!!! This place is awesome!!! The staff is friendly. Our waitress, Jenn, was courteous and attentive. They make you feel like a regular. Very small town feel. The food is AMAZING!!! 15 year old son got the spaghetti and meatballs. Husband got the shrimp diavalo (spicy-good). I got the chicken parm. Salads served before meal was fresh and tasty. The cocktails are delicious! Stop in and give this place a try. First time here. My parents recommended this place for the Italian but we came for breakfast. The breakfast was awesome. Great Omelette and rye toast was fresh and thick. Wife had two eggs, bacon and french toast and said was very good. Well portioned and well priced. Have to say the pizza looks very tasty. Owner is from NY and word is this is true NY style pie. They have a two foot slice challenge. Eat it in 5 min and free eat it in 12 minutes it's 50% off. Will be back to try the pizza! read more

After trying many pizza restaurants over the past few years, we finally went to Toast after seeing many great posts on Facebook from many OC locals. Well.... Why did I wait so long? I've been missing out on this gem. By far, the best pizza in Ocean City. If you like the crust with bubbles in it, this is the place. The sauce (gravy) was definitely home made and you can fold the slice without it sagging at the end. The service was on point the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. We were the only ones there for dinner but the waitress & owner made us feel welcome. We ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza that was full of cheese and lots of meat. Came to OC to have some quiet and relaxing time. This afternoon I came out of hotel to look for some nice breakfast place, I was craving for some good French toast. Since it's a winter time most of the places are closed for the season, I would call it my luck that I ended up here at Toast Cafe. I was greeted warmly by Wendy and she made me sit to a table of my choice. I ordered some coffee and TC 2/2/2 - I picked 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of turkey bacon and 2 French toast. My order came out quite quickly, it looked awesomely good and scrumptious. Everything was so warm, fresh and absolutely delicious and I finished the whole plate in no time. I must say Wendy, was so attentive and super personable. I got the chance to talk to manager/ owner Mike as well, such nice and humble person. Oh I spilled the coffee on table and on my coat and the way Wendy took care of it I'm very thankful to her for that. I really wanted to like this food. It was cold. Ordered the cheese sticks. A review said they were home made. They were so thin with a thick layer of batter and it wasn't good at all. Maybe the worst I've ever had. I peeled off the batter and they looked like they were string cheese cut into thin slices. The jalapeño poppers were open faced without batter with cream cheese in them. They were better than the cheese sticks, but very greasy. Stopped in last week with my wife and a friend for breakfast/lunch. I ordered the creamed chip beef, my wife ordered a pizza, and our friend ordered the Florentine omelette. We all loved our food, and our server was great. I tried a slice of the pizza my wife had ordered, and I had to agree with her. It was one of the best pizzas we had in OCMD. When we were leaving we found out why. The owner is from NY. Nice guy too. The S.O.S. was also the best I have had in OCMD. They use a little bit of heavy whipping cream to give it a slightly sweet flavor. They were playing great music too. There is only one very minor thing I would suggest to the owner. The flashing lights around the ceiling are very annoying. They flash different colors very quickly like a strobe light. It is very distracting. Tone those down and I think the dining experience would improve. Other than that, we will definitely be going back to Toast Cafe next time we are in town. read more

I had the veal parmigiana which was so tender you didn't even need a knife to cut it. My husband had chicken parmigiana which was just as tender! We ate breakfast at the Toast Cafe yesterday morning (12/31) and then again today. Yesterday my boyfriend had creamed chipped beef and toast with home fries and coffee. I had a short order of Texas french toast and coffee. The coffee was excellent and our food was piping hot. Our server, Jennifer, was friendly! Today, we went back for breakfast. Jennifer was our server again today. She was very friendly and checked several times to see if we needed coffee refills or anything else. My boyfriend got the 2 egg platter: he had two eggs over easy, two sausage links, home fries, and toast. I had the Build Your Own Omelette with peppers, onions, pepper jack cheese, home fries, rye toast, and a side of bacon. Once again, our food arrived quickly and was fresh from the kitchen and was delicious! The table across from us ordered pizza and that looked good too!
