    Crispy chicken club with fries
    Abby S.

Coconuts is the place to be in Ocean City! We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were promptly seated. The crispy chicken club sandwich was standard, my least favorite was the bun which I found dense. They give you a massive amount of fries when you upgrade which I appreciate! They were crispy and the perfect size. The chicken Cesar wrap was enjoyable with the perfect chicken to Cesar ratio. Coconuts has an extensive drink menu with a full bar. They offer both drink cups and buckets, my favorite are the crushes and they have something for everyone! Our server was attentive and made sure to check in with us regularly. The location is my favorite part. They're located right on the beach front with high top tables in both the sand and on the patio. They have multiple bars, a gift shop, a little stage for live music, and public accessible bathrooms. Parking proves to be difficult as the designated parking lot is quite small. However there are many public side streets and beach access spots about a block away! I'd definitely recommend coconuts as a fun beach lunch/dinner spot if you're in the area!

Ambiance: 5/5. An OCMD staple. Great live music. Great location. Service: 5/5. Perhaps the greatest part is getting served ON THE BEACH! Taylor is so friendly and reliable. Food & Drinks: 3/5. The prices are steep for average/below average food. The drinks are good but expensive. Would recommend coming for happy hour (2 for 1 special) to help your pockets out. Overall: come here for the vibes and beach service. The food/drinks are typical beach bar staples but very expensive. Regardless, it still earns a 5/5 since you cant find a better beach bar in the city.

Wonderful experience!! Drinks were amazing!! Happy hour was a blast! Def gotta try It if you didn't get!

Best Happy Hour on the beach. We enjoy the 2 for 1 drink specials on the beach while listening to good music. They have good appetizers and quick friendly service. Look forward to Apres beach every year at Coconuts.

We had the most amazing time here with friends. We got to sit at the high table in the sand. Our server was Abby and she was very friendly, nice, and she provided us with amazing service. I got the bucket of raspberry lemonade and it was delicious. We also got the mahi sandwiches and they were amazing. It was a cool vibe with live music and a fun time!

The best happy hour spot! You cannot beat the 2 for 1 drinks from 5-6 PM daily. We got there around 4:30 to grab a table, and our server was super friendly and efficient. They also had live music, and we enjoyed being right next to the beach. We didn't stay for dinner, but all of the food we saw on other tables looked really good, too!

Great food and fun environment. The buffalo chicken wrap and kale caesar salad were awesome. Julia our server was super real and attentive to our table. The security guy continuously stared at us the entire time. Very uncomfortable to have someone what feels like accusing you of underage drinking without saying it. Our family wanted to enjoy our time and we were constantly stalked. The security only lingered and watched our table. Will leave picture of him

We only went here to see a band I was eager to see and someone I know said they love Coconuts. I also have passed by for years and always wanted to check out the beach bar. So to start, there is NO signage to direct you from the parking lot to the restaurant) bar. If it wasn't for us being late to hear the start up for the band, we only followed the music to figure out how to get to the bar. You do have to check-in with a hostess to get seated for the restaurant and if you want to drink at the bar, they require a pre check of your ID to get aa wristband that you are of-age to drink. Actually a great way to do it since it seems like this place could get a little hectic as it's overly popular with their 2for1 drink happy hour. There's lots of security who are well marked in bright tshirts and they keep an eye on patrons and are helpful when needed. I'm not used to it, but smoking seems to be allowed because it's all outdoors and I was happy that the customers behind us who did smoke were there for a short time period, otherwise we might have needed to move. Thankfully the band we wanted to see was awesome as the food was 50-50. I enjoyed my buffalo chicken wrap, not to rave over it, but it was a bar food sandwich. My husband had the crispy chicken club and was very disappointed. When I asked, "how's your sandwich" he answered "terrible"! I rarely hear that, so sad that his choice wasn't good. It was a small piece of chicken for the price and not even sure if he had 2 slices of bacon because it was smothered with cheese to not ID it. The chicken was hard coated with a very thick crust and his comment back was he hoped not to break a tooth. Pepsi products are served here, so that was to our liking. Again, if we ever return, it would only be to see an exceptional band we know and probably skip food, though it was recommended by our waitress to try the coconut shrimp or rockfish fingers. Maybe I'd try them to see if anything was redeeming here. I think this is more a place to get 2 for 1 cocktails which is probably a bargain and maybe after 2- drinks, maybe the food would taste better, lol!

A few family members and I stopped in to grab a couple drinks a few days ago. When we first arrived we grabbed a round from the bar and then stood to the side as we waited for a table. After hanging out and having a few drinks, the line at the bar got ridiculously long. We also had not received a text for a table yet. This bar had a very young crowd and although they serve food I did not see anyone with food on their table in the area where we were standing. The wait for a table can be extensive as it looks like most people park there simply to drink for hours and hours. I would like to come back at a different time and give their menu a try but this time wasn't ideal.

Stopped for happy hour on the usual junket for the Jimmy Litz 2019. My bud Jordan's step mom is a bartender so this is usually a stop one night of our trip. What is really cool about this place is that it is outdoor, and it butts right up to the beach and you can have drinks sent to the beach and order them. Only place Oceanside that does it acc to James. Their happy hour is A+, starting at 5 and ending at 6pm - 2 drinks for the price of 1. Incredible. We put away a small lake of drinks and headed out. Bartenders are friendly and courteous - and when you order a drink you get two with the deal during HH The only goofy part is the location of the restrooms which are down stairs and through a buffet place.

The family bought the business in 1965, gradually expanding to add wine in 1970 and merging the store concept in 1982. The Sandwiches & Fan Favorites Anthony's sandwiches are renowned for their staggering portions. The 12-inch hoagies are packed with over a half-pound of meat and cheese on freshly baked rolls. The Flagship Sub Over 1/2 lb of Genoa salami, capicola ham, pepper ham, and sharp provolone cheese. Shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, onions, and spicy hot peppers. Dressed with olive oil, red wine vinegar, and oregano on a 12" freshly baked hoagie roll. It's the quintessential Italian cold-cut sub--salty, tangy, slightly spicy, and sturdy enough to hold up in your beach cooler all afternoon. Pro Tip for Beachgoers When heading to the beach or driving back home, ask the deli staff to assemble your sandwich "semi-deconstructed" (with oil, vinegar, and tomatoes on the side). Your roll won't get soggy, making it taste just as fresh hours later.

I picked it up around 8 p.m. after work, ate half that evening, and saved the rest for the next day. After eating it, both my partner and I experienced stomach issues. While I can't say for certain what caused it, it was disappointing and unfortunately left me hesitant to return. The Greek salad and Margherita pizza is our go to, but we have had their cheesesteak subs, lasagna, and their various assortments of desserts. Ripieno's special-brew chai iced tea is something else that has always kept us coming back. That is until today. While the pizza and salad were still very good, they weren't as outstanding as they have been in the past. Customer service is not the same as it once was. When we ordered the chai tea, this evening, no orange and lemon slices were offered. As we were dining outside, I walked in to ask if they had orange and lemon slices for the iced-tea available. The cashier first seemed as though he didn't see me, and then when i caught his attention and asked about the slices of orange and lemon for the tea, he looked at me as if he didn't not know what I was talking about. I looked at the girl behind the counter that walked over with the salad dressing that had not been delivered with our salads and asked her about the fruit. She looked confused as well and said they didn't have any. The iced-tea on its own is very good, but the slices of orange and lemon really make it great! Back to the food...when our pizza was brought to the table, the gentleman that delivered it, (I think he may have been attending the wood-fire oven) threw our paper plates on the table. Next came the Greek salads. We were short two sets of silverware which was noticed by the second server. She said she would return with silverware, but didn't. So, I went back inside and asked for the two sets of silverware we needed. I was asked if I wanted plastic. I responded that I would prefer metal silverware. The girl disappeared and returned several minutes later with the silverware. I realize it is the busy season, but the restaurant was not busy. We've been during the busy season and in the off season and have always had wonderful experiences. I am truly hoping that this was a one-time thing, and that Ripieno's will return to the same familiar place we used to love to go.
