I ordered the simple breakfast plate and a Spanish omelette plate. The Simple Breakfast was pretty good overall, everything on the plate was cooked well. The eggs weren't burnt, bacon weren't too soft or too crunchy, the toast had a good crunch, the potatoes were pretty bland. The Spanish omelette was a nice size, but it was pretty average tasting. I would not recommend to add cheese and jalapeños for $3 more to the potatoes. Overall from everything I ordered I was not impressed, everything was average and I wouldn't go out of my way for it. My bill for this came out to $60 before tip which I believe is expensive for what I got and other brunch places in the area. The staff were friendly and the food came out quick. The Ambiance is casual and simple.
We found this place randomly. It is located in a dying stripping mall. You might miss it if you can't see a little "squarish" place's name. It has a white patio/outdoor at the end. There were NO customers as we entered the restaurant, perhaps we came in rather late, an hour before closing. Nonetheless, considering there's no one inside the place, the service was aloof, distant and not attentive. As staff were going home, the two waitresses did not check on us for refill of coffee and water. When we paid the bill and generously tipped, we said, "bye!", the waitress was seating with her phone glued to her face. The food was decent. I ordered the "House full French Toast", and it is loaded with sliced strawberries and bananas, and drowned in chocolate drizzles. The brioche toasts were a tad dried and spongy but well coated with eggs. Delicious still. My other half ordered a Spanish omelette; it was good. We both got a little queasy in the tummy afterward. Considering spotty service and average food, we're not coming back. 2.5 stars.

I've been back a couple of times and overall have had a good experience every time. I wouldn't say that it's as standout of an experience as before, as the staff is just not as engaging and attentive anymore, but the food is still pretty yummy. Just a note, by the time the food was brought out, it was just this side of cool, which was a bummer. We'll still be back but might give it a little time before we're back to try it again.
This is one of my favorite brunch places. Their signature Benedict is perfect! The sauce is great, the thick cut bacon is salty, and eggs are cooked perfectly. I don't know what they put in their country potatoes, but they are awesome as well. I find that the food at this location is better than at the other Toast locations, and come back here all the time.

Pretty cool spot, super quaint interior. Food was amazing, service left a little to be desired tho. Server wasn't super attentive for the small amount of customers. Highly recommend if you like breakfast food. Everything tasted fresh and high quality.

Went with a friend before a long day of activities and it really set the tone! Ambiance is relaxed and inviting. Our table was wobbly but one of the servers fixed it right away. The toast was a great portion for what the price was and the strawberry add-ons are a must!
We were seated right away, which was nice. Our server was very friendly and the food came out quickly. We sat outside and it was a cute little area. The food was amazing, I loved everything we ordered! I got a vanilla latte that was amazing. My fiance and I split the house french toast and the Santa Bacon Benedict with the hash brown chips. It was some of the best food I have had in a while. The french toast was fluffy but still flavorful and not too sweet. The Benedict was great, I liked that they didn't put too much hollandaise sauce on it. Absolutely loved the hash brown chips! Totally a 10/10, can't wait to come back!
This little gem has become our family favorite for breakfast and/or brunch! The lot where this adorable restaurant sits is a bit of a ghost town, so there is ample parking. The staff greets you at the door, and presents an option of indoor or outdoor seating. We started frequenting this lovely cafe early last year after a friend who loves in the area recommended it, and we have returned almost once a week since then. The staff is so friendly and pleasant, and we have yet to have a bad experience. We actually live about 20 minutes away and we make the drive just to eat here. The dining room includes maybe ~11 tables and there are more and larger tables outside under canopies. The food is delicious! Also, I cannot stress enough that this establishment is NOT the same as Toast at the Stonewood Mall (that is "Toast Kitchen and Bar," and is absolutely disappointing and the service is terrible). Portions are big enough to fill you but not so big that you are taking home boxes of food. Eggs cooked how you order every time. Bacon cooked perfectly. French toast, divine. And their coffees and lattes are to die for (try the Mexican Mocha *drools*)! We'll be back!
BEST BREAKFAST SPOT IN TOWN hands down. Anything you get here is absolutely fantastic. The service is timely, there's always someone around if you need something additional for the table. Ambiance is amazing. Outdoor seating is where it's at with this location! Great place to study as well!
It can get super packed here and seating goes away real fast. I think they also might need to hire more people since it looked like only 2 people were taking all the orders and bringing all the food out. Line for the bathroom (since there's only one) was also long. We got the: 1) Mexican Mocha: -Exactly like the one at Benediction, but without the free coffee refill -Lots and lots of whip cream to the point of it spilling out of the cup, but decadent nonetheless 2) Elderberry Lemonade: -The rose lemonade I had at Benediction was so good, so I was super disappointed at how his drink turned out -Beyond tart sourness even after I put in 2 bags of sugar and watered it down. My first sip actually hurt my throat unfortunately. -I wasn't able to really finish this drink. 3) Santa Bacon Eggs Benedict with a side of Potato Salad: -The English muffin half that my friend got was unfortunately burnt and made it hard for him to eat it. -All in all, I still think it was a pretty decent eggs benedict. -Hollaindaise sauce wasn't too sour nor too runny. Bacon wasn't burnt and there was a plentiful amount of smoked salmon (at least on my half). -The potato salad was warm and very rich. It had cheese, bacon, and chives. Honestly, I'd take a trip to the Benediction instead. Many more menu options (fried green tomatoes!), more seating, and more servers. read more

If you're in Whittier, you have to come out to Toast one of the best breakfast I've had in a long time all natural organic fresh clean, but the staff made it on the top of the five stars Kendra was an amazing server, her energy, polite, confident, and she said a magic word. The Eggs Benedict taste much better than the sister store in Puente Hills. I have been here twice and both times I left very satisfied. I chose to sit outside under the tent and it was just so pleasant. The cucumber lemonade is so refreshing and delicious. read more

I came here with 2 of my friends for a celebratory dinner. They both have come here before so best believe we were at the restaurant at 0808 to be seated. We chose to eat outside which was super cute, it is all covered now, which is great since it was a sunny day but we had a nice breeze as well. I had the mocha coffee- absolutely delightful and just the right amount of caffeine to get me awake in the morning. I had it without the whipped cream, but they have that option if that's your jam. Service: Folks were the right amount of attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. These are great people All right and now for the most important piece, the food: Santa Barbara Benedict- Have you ever seen such a beatiful presentation, can you notice the cracked nature of the paprika as the egg grew on its own but when you carefully slice a beautiful river of yolk emerges carefully flowing into the smoked salmon that reminds you of a Seattle day It was an absolute masterpiece. I really should have stopped eating at that point, but a pancake so large it could easily compete with a southern belle's hat called out to me teasing with its fresh ripe strawberries the color of blush. We had a party of 11 people and the general consensus amongst ourselves was that the service was really slow. Unfortunately the restaurant servers' performance overshadowed the meal. Our server did not check up on us as often as he should have. I - or any of the other people sitting at my table - would have gone up to the front desk to ask for water refills or to-go boxes but nobody was there. When these various servers were busy waiting on their own tables, they were generally farther away from where we were sat. I even tried to get the attention of one across the room since I could not find ours, but I got ignored. I can't say that the experience would be the same for a smaller party of people, but this is probably not the place to come to if you have a large party like ours did. Anyways, the wait for the food was fairly long too. It was worth it, in my opinion so if you don't care about everything above then stop by to try their menu. If your into fancy breakfast spots I'd recommend Toast. It's a cool little hangout spot in Whittier that has an indoors and outdoors seating area. While you wait for your table the have games outside at the tables for you and your companion. I got the bacon up with three over hard eggs, avocado spread, red raw onions, baby tomatoes on rye bread. My friend got the original French toast. We both got the cucumber lemonade which tasted like a powder mix and not fresh but it was tasty. I'd recommend the place as it was not too long of a wait. The service was professional and good. This was my first time at Toast and personally I loved the French toast but wasn't a huge fan on the simple breakfast. The toast and bacon were kinda hard so that made that meal unpleasant. However I did go with a few people and they were pleasant with what they had, so overall I give it a 9/10. read more

Saturday morning shenanigans. We found a new place to eat it's called "Toast". When we got here we went and checked in online. Then we walked up to be greeted by a sweet young lady that took us straight to our table. It was like a family atmosphere, We quickly got our coffee. We were serviced by a lot of people. Then our delicious food came. We tried the house special French toast. Also the Rajas con creme toast, green pepper and corn, creme. The French toast was superb. Where do I begin, soooo first of all, this place has managed to be run by a super high tech digital system but keep a kept a small town vibe SIMULTANEOUSLY! They have the BEST bacon I've ever had in California...period. Our waitress was Diane who was super knowledgeable, gracious and exceptional at multitasking....all with a smile. 2 thumbs up for whoever does the hiring. We waited for a table for a little while but the host was super attentive. I had the French toast with bananas, berries and some kind of sweet sauce. THE BOMB!! I will definitely be back. If you're looking for a super cute cafe with great food and coffee in the Whittier area, Toast is the place to go. I've been coming here for a while and am always pleased with the service and food. The staff is so nice and welcoming and always checks in to make sure you're enjoying everything. Whether you're getting the sweet or savory toast, or no toast at all, you won't be disappointed. They have a patio as well for more seating but it does get quite busy here, especially on the weekend for breakfast/brunch. read more

This place is always a hit! My husband and I double date with my parents here because it's such a good middle ground for us. The Santa Barbara Benedict is my absolute favorite! I can't help but order it every time haha. My mom is obsessed with all their toasts, but her fave is the avocado toast with tomatoes. The iced Lavender Latte is a VIBE. So good for the summer brunches when you sit outside. I only have two cons. One is the the tight seating on the inside (which is why i aways prefer to sit outside if the weather permits it). The other is the line. It's so popular because there's not much bomb brunch places in the area so you have to get there early or reserve your spot on yelp. Other than these two things, I'm a fan forsure. read more

I ordered the Bacon Up on sourdough bread with a side of eggs sunny side up The toast portion of my meal was fantastic, enough avocado, bacon was cooked perfectly, and not too many onions. I would 100% recommend it to anyone Unfortunately, the eggs that I ordered came out undercooked the first time, egg whites were partially white but the top portion was certainly clear. I told my waitress and she brought them back. When I received my eggs for the second time, they were the same ones (aren't you supposed to get new food if you send it back to the kitchen?) and they were, impressively, both over and undercooked. Bottoms were burnt, but egg whites were still clear. read more
I came here to have a meeting, in comparison to a lot of places I'm used to going it was a lot quieter which we loved (we got there at 8:30 on a Tuesday I can only imagine what a weekend would be like since it kept on getting busier as time progressed). The environment was modern and cute, in regards to the food it was good I'd go back. Our server was very sweet I do believe she had a lot of tables to herself though which means it took us a while to receive our check, but outside of that my experience was great! I'll absolutely be back. She recommended the Mexican mocha which was really good a bit on the sweeter side but I'm also the type of person that enjoy unsweetened tea/alters the sweetness to all my drinks. Second time coming to this place, and I have to say, it's definitely a great quaint little hole in the wall breakfast place. The ingredients are super fresh, and the service is great! The coffee is decent, if I had to give a recommendation.... the hot lattes are better than the iced coffees in my opinion. I have gotten the avocado toast before (which is their specialty) and it was pretty good.... my only complaint would be its lack of seasoning. This visit, I got the "Bravo" Benedict and it has bacon (not Canadian) poached eggs, avocado and hollandaise sauce. Definitely one of the better Benedicts I've had. The sauce could've had a little bit more flavor, but was very creamy, which I appreciated. My friend got the "simple" French toast and mentioned it had a churro- like flavor, which she really enjoyed. It was a great light breakfast for the both of us. A little more on the expensive side, but fresh ingredients will always cost a little more... so it depends on the person if you feel like it's "over priced". I have no problem paying for fresh/ made to order meals. Only reason its not a 5 star is due to the coffee being subpar. I'm a harsher critic when it comes to coffee, but I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely place to get brunch with a friend. read more

Ok was not prepared for how delicious this place is! The pictures do not do the food justice! First love that they take your temp. Before entering and have adapted many steps to ensure a safe eating environment. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Now the food... wow! Fresh and full of flavor! Service wasn't that great.. we put in our order and requested for three waters... 10 minutes passed so we asked the server if we can get our waters.. her reply was "we're busy and just completing the orders as they came in." I was shocked at her response because I'm not asking for my entree, I'm just asking for some water.. simple I see the cups and I see the water lol so easy and there were some staff just standing around so I really didn't understand. Cute little breakfast place in Whittier. Came in around 8am. Good seating. After we left around 9 there was a crowd already. The restaurant felt very homey. The servers were chill and attentive. We were meeting some friends here on a Summer weekend morning. I love that the offer putting your name on the waitlist via the Yelp app. We were meeting a couple with a young child so it really helped that we were able to cut down on wait time outside the restaurant. There is seating indoors but we opted for one of the tables in the patio. The patio is styled very well - and makes for an IG worthy backdrop. I how many avocado toast options there was. Had breakfast here for the first time, hubby loved his eggs benedict and i loved my Denver Omelette perfect with my rose flavored latte, me and hubby had a really lovely meal with a very warm welcome from the staff! the only vegan options consist of toast and fruit. You should visit their second location "the benediction by toast" in city of industry. They have vegan pancakes, french toast, toast, and the cremini mushroom benedict (with no egg)

I normally call them. However, if you are planning to go for Sunday brunch, your seat won't be ready right away.
