    Hummus, spinach, grilled cheese

So I got home sweet home takeout via Uber eats the other day and it was so good! They have so many grilled cheese options and it's very much like a comfort food vibe. Definitely great on a cold , rainy day. We got the pretzel bites which were my favorite appetizer. They were doughy and not too fried. We also got the pimento cheese app. The pimento cheese comes with pita. It's really good but it's not my favorite homemade pimento cheese. Pretty standard. I loved my sandwich - it had hummus, Gouda cheese, and spinach! But it was still a grilled cheese so it was perfect for a rainy day to pair with the homemade tomato soup. It's vegetarian which I appreciate. I liked that there were cheese pieces in it that melt and it comes with little gold fish to go on top. Such a cute touch. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Hidden gem - found this place one late night after catching a show at the Altria theater. Best grilled cheese sandwich I've had in a loooong time. The fries were perfectly seasoned. Didn't take a picture of the tomato soup but it's a must - highly recommend a side with your grilled cheese sandwich. Drinks were great! The service was outstanding. The ambiance is chill. Cheers!

Okay wow I LOVE this place. Gluten free bread is an option for any of the speciality grilled cheese (or you can build your own), so that's an immediate win for me. The drink prices truly can't be beat. They offer darts, etc upstairs which is so fun! Very few bars in the Richmond area still have darts. Cannot wait to come back here!

Great happy hour and fantastic food reasonably priced. They only have a bartender working so you might have to go to the bar to order but the food is so good it's worth it. Three people, drinks, apps and dinner for $89. We are food snobs and go to all the best area restaurants but Home Sweet Home is a favorite. Highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite hidden gems in Richmond. Their BBQ used in the grilled cheeses are phenomenal. Not pictured are the tater tots I got recently, which were also great. I was given a zesty aioli sauce to pair them with, definitely recommend. The pricing is great, especially the drinks! I cannot stress that enough, and their happy hour goes all the way until 8pm. The man who is always working at the bar is knowledgable and provides great service.

This is the comfort dive bar you've been looking for - grilled cheeses in the menu, cheap beer on draft, and Caps hockey game playing in the tv. Friendly bartenders and servers, it is actually home, sweet home.

Dive bar with great food. Definitely one of the more grunge places in Richmond. I've thoroughly enjoyed the grilled cheese every time although the tomato soup tastes like straight plain Campbell's tomato soup. There's a constant stream of smokers on the patio that probably isn't kid friendly.

Sebastian Eggs Hollandise and Avocado Toast with white cheddar grits!
    Barbara D.

The ambiance is super chill, everyone here is incredibly nice, and the cheddar cheese grits are sooooo good. They serve Montana Gold bread, which I've really missed. On the left is the Sebastian Benedict. It was a delicious combination of poached eggs served on top of a perfectly seasoned Maryland style crab cake on an English muffin, served with an amazing Hollandaise sauce and a side of crispy rosemary seasoned potatoes. The combination of flavor and texture was culinary perfection. I can't recommend this place enough. It's been a while since I've been in Richmond, and this place does justice to how much I've missed it.

Great dive bar vibes & atmosphere and good service! Got the smoked mac & cheese as an app, The Jerk grilled cheese for my dinner. Good overall was pretty good but didn't knock me out of the park to be honest! The grilled cheese had good flavors but there was barely any chicken it, which made the pickles kind of overpower the rest; the tomato soup that's served with it tasted like canned tomato soup or even marinara sauce to be honest. Good prices - especially for the drinks. This would be a great spot for some drunk food!

They're running a BOGO special right now, so I ordered it to try the restaurant. I'm really glad I did! I got the "mac and me" and it was really good! The grilled cheese was toasted perfectly! The bbq was a little sweet with a little heat, which was great! Tomato soup was tart and just right, (although only about a 1/4 cup of soup if that much!), but not a terrible deal for $10 on Postmates, probably less in store or ordering directly. It's a bit of a drive from there to my place, so it was cold by the time I got it, but I can't fault them or the driver for that. I will definitely order again!

The staff were polite, but we had to ask several times to get items we were missing or things we wanted extras of. They checked in on us a fair number of times, but they still forgot to return to give us what we had asked for. By the time we were ready to leave, we still haven't gotten our dressings or our condiments. I also had asked for my burger to be well done, but I got a burger with quite a bit of pink in it. I didn't want to ask for it to be placed back on the grill because I didn't really want to wait longer for my food. Although I wanted my burger to be well done and I didn't get it that way, it was still pretty good. The fries though, I think was the best part of it. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crunchy! I also ordered a coke. Just a heads up, they don't do free refills on the sodas, so each cup is $4. My party also ordered salmon l'orange and a romano salad with salmon. My friends really enjoyed their main dishes, but we did ask for extra dressing. The restaurant is decorated in a boho-style vibe, and it was cute. We found the lighting on the side dining area to be a little bit too dim once the sun went down, but I do think it would've been perfect for a date night vibe. Overall, we had an okay experience.

When they learned we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with warm bread and house-made herbed butter on the house, a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the evening. Every bite was cooked to perfection and left us excited for the next course. My spouse had the Bone-In Pork Rib Chop with roasted peaches, haricot verts, roasted poblano cornbread, and pickled peach mustard. This dish was absolutely phenomenal. Every component complemented the others beautifully. The sweetness of the peaches, the slight tang of the mustard, the savory pork, and the cornbread all came together in a way that felt thoughtful and perfectly balanced. It wasn't just delicious, it was memorable. To finish, we shared the Mascarpone Cheesecake with oat and almond crumble and summer berry ice cream. Heavenly doesn't even begin to describe it. UPDATE: I'm updating my original one-star review to five stars…read more Our first visit was unfortunately a mess. Service on the rooftop was extremely slow, several menu items were unavailable, our order was incorrect, and the overall experience fell far short of expectations. To their credit, management reached out, listened to the feedback, and invited our group back to give them another chance. I'm very glad we did. This time we dined in the downstairs dining room, which has a beautiful moody-chic library atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a great meal. Our server, Sophie, was friendly, attentive, efficient, and everything service should be. The cocktails were all scrumptious and served in beautiful glassware. We started with the short rib and mac-and-cheese egg rolls, which were delicious. For entrees, our group ordered the Greek grain bowl, shrimp and grits, banh mi, Cobb salad, and Caesar salad. The Greek grain bowl was enormous--I gave it my best effort and still took home nearly a third of it. More importantly, every dish was excellent. No notes to give. Everything was top-notch. What impressed me most wasn't that the restaurant had a bad night the first time around. Every restaurant can have an off day. What impressed me was how seriously the feedback was taken and how dramatically different the second experience was. Manager Charlie Illes stopped by our table during the visit and played a major role in turning things around for us. The difference between our first and second visits was night and day. Harry's earned this revised review through accountability, hospitality, and execution. I'll absolutely be back based on this experience.

I really enjoyed the margarita but not sure I tasted much watermelon . No complaints about the upper east side- a solid bourbon drink.
