The positive: the portions are HUGE! The menu has so many options that there is bound to be something for everyone. Across the table, we ordered a mix of breakfast and lunch and everything was tasty. Toasted is always a treat! Some friends invited us to brunch with them today. I saw 7 different dishes: The Hot Daing, Belgian waffle, Avocado Toast, kids grilled cheese, kids chicken strips, wife's omelette, son's Big Mama's country fried steak breakfast, and my GOAT skillet. The dishes came out within two minutes of each other - all served hot and fresh. Even the kids' plates looked good; adult food on a kids' plate. They have a number of nonalcoholic juice drinks, and my son ordered the piña loca. Really good blend of flavors. Our friends who invited us to brunch with them has never been there, and they loved it! The heart and soul of our experience (besides the excellent skills and timing from the kitchen) was our wonderful, sweet, effervescent server Jennifer! She was very attentive. Walked in on Thursday around 11. Was able to be seated immediately into a booth. our male waiter was extremely polite, over-the-top helpful. even help me decide what to eat. Very cheerful happy and playful the entire time never seen put out by us asking for anything always willing to help. Then there was the food we ordered and Montecristo and fish and chips. I've had a Montecristo sandwich other places, and normally the French toast is sort of soggy, kind of just squishes all the way through, but the sun was more intentional and was bread, ham and cheese, bread, ham and cheese bread on purpose I don't know how to explain it And the strawberry jam that came with it was amazing. I ended up asking for some syrup which he brought out hot extra points for that. The fish and chip was amazing. I did eat off the other plate. Of course the french fries were great. I ate them cold. I was told they were even better when they were hot. The tartar sauce that came with the fish his house made but you can tell it's good ingredients. As always as very inviting and friendly. I visited toasted with my family the day after Christmas. It was a 45min wait. Being that it was cold, and the standing room inside is limited, we had to wait in our cars. The restaurant was consistently full, from the time we arrived until the time we left. That being said they were definitely under staffed. Our waiter did not come back to check on us until we were almost done with our meals. The food was excellent, the menu offered many options from waffles to biscuits and omelets to skillets. And even a few lunch items as well. They also offered a variety of lattes. Everything had great flavor. My wife's hash browns were not as "brown" and crispy as I would of expected. One last downside was the restaurant was a little chilly inside. So the food cooled quickly. read more

I went this morning with my husband and daughter, I thought hey let's try this place, it should be good since it's always busy. I was wrong, starting off the Mexican style lattes were horrible compared to a local coffee shop here in town. The food was not good, my husband ordered the chilaquiles he was unsure with which sauce to get and the waitress said he can get both ( she didn't tell us it would be $2 extra charge ) ridiculous. he said they were edible but wouldn't get them again, I got the chile verde with eggs, I didn't even finish my plate, the beans tasted like they were from a can, chili verde tasted frozen. My daughter got the kids pancake breakfast and she doesn't eat meat so I kindly asked the waitress if instead of the breakfast meat could I get a slice of toast, which you think that would be okay because bread is way cheaper than meat lol, but when she came back she said the manager said no they couldn't do that... again ridiculous. I don't know why it's so busy but I won't be back and I have let people I know, know about my experience. read more

My first review to Toasted & this has been our breakfast spot since its opened. Husband, my youngest son & I visited today. Husband got the chile verde plate and I got the chef special Monte Cristo and we both ordered coffee. The restaurant always gives a cozy & warm atmosphere. The waitress today was an absolute doll and very attentive. I am a big fan of Disney food and was excited to see the Monte Cristo sandwich. First off, can I request this item be a permanent meal on the main menu? It tasted just like Cafe Orleans (Disneyland) Monte Cristo sandwich (yet honestly better). I wanted to try a new brunch place and came across toasted. I had come by this establishment a few weeks ago and there was a 3 hour wait so I left. I decided to come the following week. During this visit I only waited about 40 minutes to be seated for a party of 5 which I don't think was bad. I was in no rush just wanted to have a fun brunch with friends. Once seated our waitress Phoebe was so sweet. She gave us drink recommendations, and let us know what was most popular. The strawberry mule was pretty good! A little sweet, but still delicious. I ordered the fried chicken skillet. It hit the spot!! This was defiantly cheat meal worthy for me. The chicken was so tender, not dry at all very juicy, and the gravy on top was just as amazing! Everyone else in the group really enjoyed their meals as well. One of my friends had a little mishap with her food, but the staff quickly fixed the problem and gave us a bottle of champagne for the mistake. Which I thought was a nice gesture. Ambience, on point! Such a cute place, reminds me of the 18hundred restaurant. The coffee, delicious and My cup was never empty for long. I do wish they had stevia but ce la vie. The food was ok. I got the tri tip omelette and didn't read that it was smothered in hollandaise sauce. The tri tip was way over cooked and we're huge chunks. I'm talking 1.5 ounces per piece. Personally I would have liked shredded as I don't want to use a knife to eat an omelette. Personal choice. The jalapeños were raw which is ok but I should have clarified. It's definitely not a healthy choice as it has about equal amounts of cheese to egg! My kids had pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The gravy has a very strong rosemary flavor to it which none of us cared for but again, personally choice. The server was nice, she and one other girl seemed to be the only servers. They give individual creamers which were piling up and were not cleared off our table. Annoying as we were clearly getting crowded and some fell off and we picked them up but were still not cleared. The kids had syrup all over them it would have been convenient to have been given some wet naps. Wow!!! And not in a good way. I was really looking forward to eating here and trying out some hyped up place. Well here's what just happened: Tuesday 6/4 walked in around 9:34 or so we got seated by a nice young lady almost immediately. There wasn't much people around I want to say half full and not many people at each table. There was about 4 waiters attending the place. Which again did not look chaotic since they all were taking their sweet time walking around, cleaning empty tables and making drinks or refilling them for other customers. At our table we were able to observe all angles including the kitchen, it was my husband, son and my self. I was able to see one ticket come into the kitchen while there was a pile of hash browns on the griddle waiting to be served at one point or another. Any how we decided to stack up our menus to kind of signal we were ready to be helped. I might have to bring in a yellow flag and waive it around here to then get some attention. I felt completely invisible, shoot I have to say this has to be the only time in my life I can say it was to a point uncomfortable. I don't know if I ever will recommend this place but I sure will share my experience with as many people because they don't deserve the hype they get if they can even attend to a slower morning with not much going on. No water, No drinks and not a single soul acknowledged us after being seated, we choose to walk out at 9:51 am good luck. read more

I had the chilaquiles with carne asada, full of flavor and spice. I like mine spicy so added some more hot sauce. Others with me ordered the tri tip and eggs, tri tip steak was cooked medium rare which came out seasoned and seared nicely. We ordered the mimosa flight to wash it down. We went in on a Monday and it was very busy. It took about an 1.5 hours to get a table and receive the food. We spent about 2 hours in the restaurant with eating time included. I have v visited before and wait time always takes a while for the food and to be seated but The waitresses/waiters have always been very nice. I would say that the food is good, just regular breakfast and tasty but the wait time was what killed it for me:/. In the past I've tried the pancakes and I like their sweet taste :).. their sandwich was pretty decent, nothing mind blowing but definitely tasty:). Their prices are pretty standard as well. This place was recently suggested to me and I was surprised I'd never heard of it. I don't get over to the southwest very often though so I figured today was the day to familiarize myself. This place has a cute, airy vibe to it. Clean, neat decor with some wood and chalkboard decor sprinkled here and there but nothing too fancy. The waitress was nice and informative. Quickly answering any questions we threw her way. She took our immediate orders of 3 mimosa flights without batting an eye and even brought us waters to wash them down. With the most important items ordered, it was time to take a good look at the menu! I was slightly surprised by there being so many Mexican inspired dishes offered since the name did not suggest anything like that. I was not disappointed by that at all however. Even thou this isn't a huge menu, I found it difficult to figure out what I wanted to order since I'd found many things that caught my eye. I decided to give the huevos rancheros with some added carne asada a try and the hubby went with the Tri Tip and eggs. Our friend we dragged along with us, got the chilaquiles and asked if the eggs could be cooked into the tortilla chips instead of just putting them on top. They were happy to oblige him and he seemed to really enjoy them. I loved my meal! The country potatoes were delicious with the grilled onions and bell peppers in them and the huevos rancheros were also great. Now let's discuss the mimosas....they came with 4 flavors: 1) Cranberry Lemonade 2) Cotton Candy with blue Curaçao 3) Love (strawberry and pineapple) 4) Mexican Candy with a Tajin rim. My least favorite one was the cotton candy. It was way too syrupy for me. Actually I like mimosa flights that allow you to pour your own for this very reason. I like my mimosa was a light drop of juice in them. All 4 of these flavors were just too sweet. I love it when someone suggests a place to me and I turn out to love it!
