Good customer service first of all. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. My daughter liked their pancakes and the Wife kink of liked their fish and chips (French fries). My chicken fried steak was just a plain steak that had no flavor at all and the gravy was cold. The hot links and bacon were good also. Iced tea tasted weird so did my daughter's pink lemonade, yuck. Restaurant was not that clean either especially the bathrooms. Just a plain food restaurant nothing fancy about it at all.

Came for breakfast for a book club meeting and ordered the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast which came with two eggs, hashbrowns, single pancake, and the chicken fried steak. Best chicken fried steak in town! Perfectly fried and seasoned! The hashbtowns were perfectly crispy and eggs cooked to perfection. The pancake was buttery, thick, and tasted delicious. Waitresses were incredibly patient as our party had no shows and kept refilling our coffee's. Can't wait to come back and try other items although I believe I will probably just order the chicken fried steak!

Don't come for me guys. Knotty Pine was my favorite for years. However the food is not what it once was and I've had this conversation with several previous regulars. Was there a big change to the kitchen staff over the past year or so? Hopefully it can get back to what it once was. We need to protect this restaurant and keep it around for years to come.

Service into the restaurant was kind and full of greetings and smiles from everyone. Very cozy environment. As you can see from the pictures it is very cozy and warm; like a cabin you might stay at. I ordered Eggs Benedict. Perfect hollandaise for the Benedict's. Potatoes were crispy. My husband had the hot link breakfast with Lonnie potatoes. He loved SPICY. It was heaven. We shared the French Toast. Omgoodness, lots of food. Great coffee. The seating is tables and booths. Space is a bit tight, but everyone is focused on their family and enjoying their space. I loved this place. It is definitely a monthly keeper to our repertoire of favorites. I can imagine their lunch. Looking forward to returning! If you're in the area, come by and give them a try. You won't regret the experience.

I CANT GET OVER HOW AMAZING THIS PLACE IS. Now this place is TRULY A GEM IN BAKERSFIELD. I can't reccomend this place enough if you have never had their Breakfast or Lunch. This place is the defention of flavortown and every penny spent here is absulotely worth it. Stopped by for brunch on a Friday with my wife where I got breakfast and she got lunch around 1pm. They are open till 3pm FYI. I got myself the Denver omlete with Lonnie's hashbrowns and it was a MASSIVE portion of food considering the price. I honestly couldn't finish my plate, too much!!! My meal was a 10/10, just phenomenal. My wife went with a grilled Tereyaki Chicken Sandiwch and she swears it's the best chicken Sandwich in town lol. Overall, do your life a favor and come here. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. I've been coming to Knotty Pine since 2013 and I will confine to come for the rest of my life. Thanks Knotty Pine for all the amazing food over the years. Till next time!

    Faye's Fantastic French Dip

Cute, kitschy atmosphere, friendly service, and the food is beyond amazing! We had the catfish & chips, French dip, sweet potato fries, and corn fritters. ALL our food was superb! The French dip wasn't the usual slices of roast beef. Instead, it was huge chunks of moist, tender, flavorful beef roast! We will definitely come back when driving through the area.

Smaller size of the potato and eggs, 3 French toast, and biscuits and gravy

If you're considering going here, DONT HESITATE!!! The food, service, portion sizes, and atmosphere was perfect!!! My fiancee and I got French toast, a biscuit and gravy, potato's and eggs and everything came in such a good size! Not only that but it was delicious. We're definitely coming back!

I was in town for work and was looking for a nice breakfast place before I flew out. I came across this cute place on Yelp, read the reviews, and decided to give it a try. This was a great choice! When I arrived there was a wait, and the parking lot was full, but because it was just myself I was able to walk in and get seated immediately at the bar by the nicest host. I ordered the two egg breakfast with sausage and I chose breakfast potatoes and a biscuit with gravy. This was So much food, but everything was delicious. To start off the breakfast potatoes were awesome. They had the perfect texture, perfectly seasoned and there were a lot of them. The sausage was also fantastic, it was perfectly season and I think it may be made in house but I'm not sure. Either way it was very good. My eggs were perfectly cooked and my biscuit was so flaky. What an amazing breakfast. I can't believe I got all of this for $14.61 before tip. If you are in town, please give this cute place a try. It is so worth it

Steak and Eggs, over Medium. Ribeye Steak, cooked Medium Well. Substitute fresh fruit for biscuits & gravy, AND a Perfect Pancake.....DRUMROLL....Under $20 plus tax......enough for 2 people, or 1/2 of EVERYTHING to go! Felix, one of the kitchen workers, and possible manager, was friendly, when he came out for a break. He took time to engage in a conversation with this old man.....me. Experience Cope's Knotty Pine, on the North Edge of Oildale...where Merle Haggard lived in a boxcar that his dad fixed it up real nice. You can see it at the historic and iconic Kern County Museum. Right down Chester, just a few minutes away!

The chicken and waffles were ok. Reason being is that the waffle itself was a little soggy and the chicken had very little flavor. The service was quick and friendly, the waitresses were attentive. The interior was giving country with all the wood furniture.

It was my choice to come here based on the reviews but both of us were really disappointed. First of all some items are only available certain times of the month, which was a letdown because I really wanted to have something they didn't have that day. Walking in you have to write your name down on a sheet of paper for the wait list, then you are called and taken to you table. Service is Friendly, establishment is clean and spacious for a small place. The menu offers variety. The coffee is a solid 10/10 and so is the orange juice. The food- I had the country fried steak with over medium eggs, country potatoes and biscuits and gravy. My rating for my meal was a 4/10. There was no real flavor in the gravy & the sausage they used used as umph was just savorless meat. The biscuits were bulky, tough but fresh. The fried steak lacked so much seasoning, both meat and the coating/batter. The potatoes were not steaming hot and the steak was thin and tough. My baby had the chile verde skillet and he was SHOCKED the skillet wasn't even HOT. As you can cleary see in the pictures the cheese wasn't even melted ‍ and again the skillet was cool to the touch. Chile verde has good flavor but the ordering a skillet and it being cold threw the mind off lol. Omg the salsa that they offer just tasted like tomato water, no flavor and definitely no heat. No huevo rancheros and no open face sandwich was available the day we went. I'm sorry but Idk how people are giving this place such high reviews with the vapid food they are serving. Needless to say my hubby and I will not be returning. If you're wondering why hubby finished his food, it's because we really needed to get our calories back lol and we hate having to have our money go to waste.

Food-wise, the Peruvian grilled cheese sandwich was flavorful and well made, but I'd recommend asking for the sauce on the side unless you enjoy a messy sandwich. The ham and cheese croffel had great flavor, but it was a little light on the ham and cheese. I think the cropples are better suited in the sweet variety as they seem small incompressants to a ham and cheese croissant someone would purchase for about half that price. In my opinion, it was more of a kid's snack than a meal and not quite worth the price, if you're actually hungry I would go with something else off the menu. Everything was made fresh , you must be patient here , perfection can be slower than your metabolism, so dont go there hangry. During my visit, Hector explained that he envisions Uncharted Adventures as a gathering place for the community. The business frequently hosts weekend vendor markets and local running clubs.
