The absolute best sausage gravy I've ever had from a restaurant!! This was my first time here....We were acknowledged right away, within a minute of seating ourselves. Our server, Ash, was very friendly, and took great care of us! We both ordered the Mountain Top breakfast. The food came out within 10 minutes, and was delicious! The gravy and homefries tasted homemade! I used to manage another sausage gravy restaurant, and our food never tasted this good! Food was excellent (I got crunch French toast and friend got top sirloin). Server was okay. Almost do not want to go back because of the employees a short server and a young bigger boy with a flat bill hat.. The whole time I was eating they were standing behind the register carrying on. The boy payed the small server to lick a customers dirty plate (which we saw). Pretty sickening when you are trying eat dinner. Very disgusted. This is a solid 3-Star restaurant. Nothing special or fancy, and the food isn't that great (but decent), and it's cheap. I have to agree with another review that the clientele is significantly older, and I wonder if that's why they use literally zero seasoning in their food. If they had utilized a little salt or pepper, the food would've been better. I know I can add it once I have the food, but that's not the same and you know it. As it was, the food was passable but bland. The biscuits were decent, but slightly dry. The gravy was better than anticipated. The atmosphere was okay. I could tell it was a lot of regulars. Service was decent, nothing extraordinary. Prices were pretty low though, so they've got that going for them. Overall, this restaurant visit was the epitome of meh *shrug* read more

Love this restaurant. It reminds me of Stan's that burnt down on the corner of 3C and Morse Rd. in Columbus. It's divey but the food is delicious and the price is right. I usually order the chicken taco salad (minus green peppers and tomatoes) with salsa and thousand island dressing. It's very good. The cheeseburger platter is very good. The fries are the crinkled ones which I love. Cole slaw is creamy. The stuffing (dressing) with gravy is a great choice for a side. I also like the fried chicken and Johnny Marzetti. Check it out. The Lemon Meringue pie is to die for. Sometimes they run out so my Mom and I order a piece first and then our meal. Only drawback is the restroom. Only have one restroom for male and female. Sometimes a line forms for the women's. Also restroom could use a facelift. Definitely be back. read more

I've lived about 1 mile from TMV for a little over a year now and this past weekend, at the repeated suggestion of a lady friend, decided it was time to give it a try. I'm glad I did. It was just wanted I needed after a late night of bar hopping. The place was very busy and was seat yourself but luckily we walked in just as a couple was vacating a booth which was great because I prefer booths. If you need to stand and wait for a table to open up its a little awkward as there is no real place to stand other then next to the front door which is also right next to other tables and people eating. It just felt a little weird to me standing next to someone as they eat. Perhaps there are more appropriate places to stand and wait and I just didn't see/know about them. My friend ordered a couple eggs over medium with rye toast and hash browns which she enjoyed very much. I (the pig) ordered two eggs scrambled with a 6oz rib eye, home fries and rye toast and for dessert two buttermilk biscuits with sausage gravy. I ordered the steak medium rare and it came extremely rare so I had to send that back. I waited until I finished my eggs and home fries before sending it back so they wouldn't be cold by the time they returned and I made quick work of that. The eggs were perfectly cooked, very light and fluffy. The home fries were excellent, mostly soft and mushy with an outer crispy layer which is delicious. When the steak returned, cooked perfectly, they gave me another serving of home fries to go along with it and I polished those off no problem. The biscuits and gravy were delicious (and cheap!), and my dining partner agreed after trying them for the first time. Another important aspect was that the coffee was delicious and plentiful. In addition to our waitress there was a woman dedicated to just walking around topping off coffee cups, which is exactly what you want when you go out for breakfast on a Sunday morning. There was not one time I thought about needing more coffee. All in all I highly recommend Todds Mountain View for a very (VERY) affordable and delicious breakfast and will certainly be returning not only for breakfast but to try their lunch and dinner menu. read more

Would go here all the time for breakfast when we first moved to the Lancaster area over 10 years ago. Never had a bad meal or experience, so I can't really explain the almost decade hiatus. Took the kids here for Christmas Eve breakfast so Santa could finish wrapping gifts at home. As usual, the omelettes were awesome. The home fries are similar to hash browns, just a little thicker and they are delicious too. The service was also good. Place is always busy. read more

Food was good and our waitress was super nice but the management was very lacking. With no hostess, People were walking in and seating themselves in front of people who were waiting. We had to boot a table of 5 that jumped ahead without putting their name on the list. Seemed like only one busser as many tables were dirty and empty. Two other tables got booted for not putting name on list, waitress' getting mad at each other for seating people in the wrong table and not wanting to call the next party to tell them their table was ready. One waitress yelling at another while she was cleaning a table saying " your not my boss and that ain't my job". Spraying down tables after the guest were seated instead of before. Looked nasty as soon as I walked in. Servers wouldn't even wait on me but waited on everyone who came in after so I got up and left. The servers just kept looking at me. It's a "seat yourself" restaurant but I shouldn't have to make a server come over to me. Sat and waited for 10 minutes WITH A BABY, not one person asked if I needed a high chair, menu, anything. The servers acted like they just didn't want to deal with a mom and a baby, so we went elsewhere and had excellent service!! Absolutely rude and never going back. read more

Lots of parking on both sides of the building. Vintage decor with booths and tables. Amber was our server and recommended the Chicken Parmigiana for me since I couldn't make up my mind. Outstanding....the chicken was tender enough to pull apart, and the sauce was simple (which I prefer). My wife had Chicken Fajitas. Chicken was seasoned well. Coconut cream pie was awesome. We would definitely stop by again, though not much reason for us to be this way. We were attending a funeral in suburbs of Columbus, and the cemetery took us out of our normal travel route. May just have to make a special trip for dinner. read more

I like it it's nice locally-owned. All the waitresses and staff are very kind. The people alone who actually visit and eat if you get there on the breakfast rush you can't even eat your laughing so hard at some of the truckers. All in all it's a really nice place a lot of elderly people go there but it's nice. If you want to place with just regular food like regular breakfast omelet pancakes club sandwiches cottage cheese salads sausage biscuits and gravy. Food was decent, restaurant was noise, but above all else the unlawful actions of the manager of duty were disgusting. I brought my service dog in and without asking any appropriate questions he simply had his waitress ask for papers on my dog. (Illegal in the first place) Then when I simple and calmly mentioned to him that i did take my dog out but it would be good for him to review the law on service dogs so he doesn't get himself in trouble. He yelled at me and told me that, what I said was stupid and that he wasn't going to change. I politely mentioned I was concerned for him not wanting him to get into legal trouble. He again repeated that the law I had just state to him wasn't true and it was stupid. He really raised a fuss and made a fool of himself in front of customers over a simple matter where I was looking out for him. I hope he does his research and can quit discriminating towards those with disabilities. read more

Love Mom & Pop restaurants, this was our first visit here, just passing through, they didn't disappoint!! The atmosphere was what we love, relaxed and comfortable, the service was great, our waitress was prompt, courteous and made sure our meals were what they should be. The food was spot on, most places try to put a spin on classics, they kept the turkey club as it should be, and all of the ingredients were fresh and what we hoped for.
