We just came back from a 5+ hour drive from Reno and needed to get a quick dinner in. This location is one of the closest ones to my house so we decided to stumble in. We arrived close to closing time and was still greeted by a friendly associate with a smile. I decided to order a regular Roast Beef, Turkey, & Cheese (#8) and my wife ordered a full southwest salad. My kids ordered a plain Salami and Cheese sandwich and a broccoli cheddar soup. I wanted to thank the lady who helped us because she went out of her way to warm up two soups for my daughters. I was expecting them not to have it since we came in close to closing. She was very sweet and delivered it to us at our table once it was ready to eat. My sandwich was made great! Perfect proportions of meat to vegetables. Togos has a signature taste and is very nostalgic to me. I also appreciate them as they are generally very consistent. I did notice the overall sandwich has gotten slightly smaller throughout the years but nevertheless, still very enjoyable. My wife enjoyed her meal - It's one of her goto salads. The full size salad is a good sized and will fill up most people. The salad was fresh and satiating. Overall had a quick and enjoyable experience. I was specifically craving pastrami and walked into Subway. What? A sandwich shop doesn't have pastrami? Just that day or only on the east coast? Terribly disappointed but persisted on my craving at Togos which I haven't been since forever and so glad I did! They not only had pastrami but a pastrami Rueben (#9J, not watching calories or anything but noticed Subways tout on calories isn't exactly true. Plus/ (-) a few calories was worth every warm bite of that #9! Although Swiss on a pastrami rueben is classic I went for provolone and you should too- it is Rrrrich!! Just ordered a #30 (pastrami with sour kraut). The preparer only has a pinch of sour kraut left in his bin. I pointed out that he ran out and assumed he would add more. He said yes...then continued to make the sandwich. I stopped him prior to wrapping it and reminded him that he ran out of SK and would he add more. A little annoyed that I phoned an order for pickup and they told me it would be ready in 10 min. I even showed up 20 min later and my sandwich had not even been made yet. There was a long line of other pissed off customers and the ppl working in the kitchen looked somewhat confused and flustered when I asked about my sandwich. So then I got to watch them make my sandwich and due to the rush, my sandwich ended up looking and tasting very sloppy. My "turkey + avo" sandwich which had all the toppings pushed to one side of the sandwich and not evenly distributed like it should be. I asked for light mayo and got extra which kind of ruined the whole experienced eating it and the turkey tasted old and not fresh so I ended up taking off a lot of the meat :( I'm a die hard Togo's fan and I will not be back to this location. Avocado sandwich on a white roll + swiss cheese, extra yellow mustard, a bit of mayo, lettuce, extra onion, pickles, peppers has been my exact order since the early 1980's. As a dedicated vegetarian, 90% vegan this is one of the very few chain places I really like. Togo's is a Bay Area original, it reminds me of going here with my mom and brothers as a kid. The fellow who made my sandwich at this blossom hill location was super friendly and welcoming.... Togo's is always clean and mmmmm, the smell of their bread when you walk in. It just smells like Togo's. I REALLY wish that had a vegan mayo + vegan cheese option!!!! I rarely eat dairy and it would be a great option. Just came home from Togos with the boyfriend. This is actually one of my favorite spots to get a quick bite, not only is it near my house but the staffs are friendly, the sandwiches are good, the bathrooms are clean, there's outside seating... It's just a really nice place. One thing I don't really like about it is the sour dough bread. It's a bit on the thick side. So I usually get the wheat instead. I have ordered this same sandwich previously from various locations and never been disappointed. I will never go to this location again. Maybe not to Togos at all. This is my review for Togos on Blossom Hill by Oakridge! First all Togos one if my favorite sandwiches and go to sports. Usually all Locations are consistent and do great. But this Location and its Manager "Pena" is straight up inept. This Pena guy should not be a Manager for Togos or anywhere else!!! I have eaten this location many time, it is close to work and home and I get sandwiches atleast 3xs a week..I go in on my day off order a 16 and a 8 to go. I get home open my sandwich and there was NO MEAT!!! I could not believe it. So I went back to show the Manager. And it was him that made the Sandwich too!!! He told me it was made by specifications and nothing wrong! I told him if I want a sandwich with no meat I'll go to Subway. He insisted it was right. He did not even weigh the meat as he made it. I reminded him of that. And he looked and said it was fine. Pena that was your mistake, you should have said "Yes it is not a Togos" and replaced it!!! The gentleman who made our sandwiches was very nice, made great sandwiches and made them accurately, at a reasonable speed. There were two issues, and neither of them were him or the sandwich quality. The OTHER person working the counter was obnoxious, loud, and frankly, racist. I won't repeat what she said, and I don't think she realized how bad she sounded, but she crossed a few lines on what is appropriate to, well, "screech", pretty much describes her tone, at your place of work. She clearly felt she was being hilarious, but trust me, she was not. The other issue was the cola machine is one of those mix your own flavor machines. Like ALL of those machines, the spigot never gets cleaned and getting just a cola you end up getting cola plus a taste of all the other flavored syrups the machine yaks out. It's gross. read more

I have been a Togo's fan and customer for as long as I can remember. Every location has provided good food, friendly service, and decent prices. The location on Blossom Hill is no exception. However, there is a glaring problem in that location, and it has to do with the ownership. After removing a stand on the granite counter for the credit card machine, a metal plate with several studs for the screws was left behind. They are just high enough to possibly cause an injury if one is not paying attention to the protrusions. When I asked about this equipment that was bolted to the counter, the manager, John, told me he brought it up to the owner who told him not to worry about it! Ignoring a potential hazard to customers is simply ignorant. Someone needs to have a chat about this problem to the owner. Not to mention, the lack of TV is short-sighted, especially in this nervous time of COVID-19, where information is updated practically hourly! read more

I still remember going downtown SJ to eat Togo Roast Beef sandwich. Then they opened a shop across from Pruneyard. So I've been a fan forever. Had the worst experience at the Blossom Hill branch. Tried ordering online but it didn't go through. Now there's 5 pending charges. Undaunted, I went in to order a take out. I had trouble understanding server. But I still left a 15% tip. After 10 minutes of asking him to repeat, I finally received my order. Although I reminded him of the au jus that came with sandwich, he forgot it. I was still polite with him. Today, I saw on my account that I've been charged three times for the order, 2 were for different amounts than was on my receipt. To Togo's credit, the sandwiches were delicious. This Togo's is always good with exception you need to tell them you want the middle cut of the bread. The reason is if your don't; the bread ends are already hard compared to when you get the center cut of bread. Everything tasted very fresh (although I can see behind the counter that everything but the deli meats and veggies were from cans or bags, but that's to be expected at a sandwich place). My sandwich was way too light on the turkey and avocado as it was mostly lettuce and the bread was very thick. I think I had maybe 2-3 thin slices of turkey in there. The salad was pretty good. The dressing was tasty and the chicken cubes were seasoned well. It came with parmesan cheese and a few olives. We came in at about 12:00 and beat the lunch rush. Service was fast and we got our food only a few minutes after placing the orders. Good place for a quick lunch. This location neglects Curbside service Customers, they have cones outside for designated curbside parking that say to call a number when you arrive for curbside pickup, the phone doesn't ring and you get a message that the voicemail box is full. They also don't receive the description of a Customer's vehicle when they receive your order even though the App asks for it when placing a Curbside order. This is the service level when slow or busy, demand levels don't come into play. When we asked for supervisor, was told the Manager was on a break. Staff was rude and unapologetic like this was an attitude issue with a Customer when this issue was brought to light. They had three Staff inside and only one working behind the counter. C-19 times demands more attention to this type of service level or people will just go elsewhere. read more

I ordered TWO REGULAR sandwiches and was charged for one regular and one large which was a mistake. I had already paid for the sandwiches before I noticed the error. When I pointed this out I was only reimbursed $3.61 verses the correct amount $4.75. Apparently she should have canceled the original charges and re-submitted for the correct amounts of $8.75 and $9.75 for a total of 18.50 plus tax and not $24.61. I will never go to this location again. She was spending too much time talking to others and not paying attention on my order is why I was overcharged and not given the correct amount back. read more

Togos has lost its touch over the last few times I visited. The workers in the front were not friendly, did not greet anyone walking in the store. I was in line for 25 minutes waiting for them to complete phone orders that came in while I was there! My sandwich was a bit soggy and they forgot avocados on my California club when I got home.
