First and last time here. Arrived with a party of 4 and was seated within 2 minutes. The first sushi roll they brought out was the wrong one. After about 20 minutes, the waiter grabbed the sushi roll and gave it to the right table. Then we proceeded to wait 1.5 hours for our food. Ridiculous wait time, unprofessional service, and average food. Would not recommend. read more

This place is a new favorite of mine! Always packed and for good reason. Everything tasted super fresh and authentic. Each roll tasted so different from the other. The customer service is also amazing! Everyone was so kind and they brought such a great atmosphere to the place. They don't have AYCE so everything is just a la carte. went on a Friday night and as expected it was busy, we checked in on yelp and waited about 45 min! Only down side of this place has to be the parking it's pretty small and the surrounding neighborhood is kinda packed too :( The food here never disappoints we tried the zen roll, love roll, and the truffle salmon! The truffle was by far my favorite dish 10/10!!! Our server did accidentally charged us for extra rolls but was so nice when we pointed it out and was quick to fix it. Having come in with doubts about the authenticity given the location and being the only two Asians at the restaurant, my friend and I were pleased to discover Tokyo garden's food tastes exactly like it should. I had the bento box with sesame chicken and shrimp crunch roll, both of which were tasty and on par with other Japanese restaurants. The meal came with soup, salad, and some seasoned potatoes, all very good. My friend got the OMG roll not realizing it was soy paper, but didn't have any complaints either. There was free salted edamame as well and overall it was a very standard meal. The service here was good and ambiance was pretty standard, although some one time use utensils/sushi dipping bowl cheapened the image. I'd recommend for anyone in the area as the pricing is also very reasonable. read more

I ordered takeout. I was shocked that my two rolls, cucumber salad, and miso soup came out to $50.05.! I haven't been here in a very long time, all my sushi joints are far away. I really appreciated the extra, wasabi, the soy sauce, packets, the extra ginger, and the napkins. They were all must haves and were almost used. I know it looks like I don't cook but I swear I'm stuck away from home and I don't have much time to cook these days. This isn't your cheap slop of a sushi place so go somewhere else for that. This isn't one of those places where you get more fried tempura flakes on your sushi rolls than the actual sushi. Listen, I tried really hard to find something wrong with my meal. How can I justify spending $50 on dinner for Just medium sized me!? Do not answer that. The sushi rice was warm and soft. The cuts of sushi were fresh and good sizes. Even the fact that they use white ginger instead of that pink dyed ginger, I give them major props for that. I'm slowly going into a food coma so I'll wrap this review up. The mango salmon roll was my favorite over the Hawaiian roll but both were really good. On a typical day I wouldn't be able to finish all this food by myself, I guess today was not typical huh? I typically come to this place very often, but today I had the worse experience ever. I understand the long wait on a Friday but after getting a text message saying my table was ready & still having to wait 10 additional minutes to sit down was upsetting after waiting over 50 min. There was a couple that came in cut through all the people on the waitlist and server sat them down in the bar when we had requested to sit down in the bar and waited 40 min. & was already called was just ridiculous. The girl running the front was just extremely rude, after 3 times of going up to her she finally sat us down. We waited another 40 min for food. Lastly I typically ask for a cucumber salad at the bar ( which is free ) and asked if I can order a side she mentioned I had to pay i did mention to her I had requested to sit down in the bar and she said " oh ok " on top of that i Had to wait another 15 min for a cucumber salad. It's the best sushi spot in the area! The fish is very fresh and the size of the sushi/rolls are big! It's definitely bang for your buck. They have alot of variety and it's delicious! The service is good, but can be a bit slow at certain points just because they are always so busy. However, the server are all very nice and accommodating. Tokyo Garden delivered my dreams. Come with a good appetite because the portions are made to make you full. My friend and I shared three rolls and we were stuffed after two. So much flavor. Generous cuts of fish. Sauced well. I was in sushi roll heaven. There were many options to select from on the menu. I'm coming next time with more friends so we can order more plates and try different things. Service was great! The servers and staff walked around to each party and toasted with them.
