NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO !!!! What a disaster. After navigating the on line wait list process that no one tells you about and only learn by standing at the frond desk for a several minutes we were finally seated. LET THE WAIT BEGIN!!!!! No one AND I MEAN NO ONE showed up to our table for over 10 minutes. Now several people walked by our table and looked at us as we looked around for a server. Finally the server arrives and states hi what would you like to drink? I stated we are ready to order if you don't mind. She stated "SHE" is really busy and I only has time to take our drink order. WHAT????? I'm thinking .....who's paying for dinner me or you? Wait it gets better. Once we ATTEMPTED to order 3 out of the 6 rolls we attempted to order we're met with were out of that, we're out of that, we're out of that!!!! At $17.50 a roll I would think you would HAVE plenty of that. We basically stood up and walked out as everything g we wanted other than rice they were out of. When the service improves, and the outrageous attitude stops matching the outrageous sushi prices maybe we might come back. As for now the only thing this restaurant "needs to be out of" is the attitude from there serves thinking that I'm there for you on your schedule to drop $150.00 and a $30 tip. If I wanted to be treated like I can always find an outhouse to sit in !!!! This restaurant needs to realize what and how they stay in business. read more

The first time I came here was good, the second time does not compare. The food was good but the service wasn't great when we came again the second time and it was a lot more busy/hectic the first time. They had forgotten to bring us two of our drinks until we asked for them and still only brought one. Even our refills were room temp soda without bothering to add ice. They take plates without asking sometimes so if you're like me and like saving big bites for the end play a lil defense with ya plate. That said, a couple rolls I keep coming back to are the Samurai Roll and the Blue Crab Salmon Roll--both are packed with flavor and definitely stand out on the menu. And I have to mention the miso soup... hands down the best I've had. It's simple, but done right with great flavor. Overall, this place is consistent, fresh, and reliable. If you like trying different sushi rolls or already have your favorites, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

They also have a private dining room for parties, birthdays, graduations, etc. The sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The teriyaki was perfectly cooked with a delicious glaze that had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The edemame (plain and spicy garlic) is a must. The miso soup is always on point and flavorful. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The sushi chefs ‍ Paul, Jackie, and Sam were engaging, polite, funny, and fun. The service was a 10/10! Stephanie, Judy, love boat, Liz, and Grace are so attentive and sweet. We feel at home when we eat at Ichiban. It's like Cheers where everyone knows your name. The drinks were also fantastic--refreshing and the perfect addition to the meal. On top of the great food, the atmosphere was so fun and lively. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great company, make friends (Cindy & Jonathan) and have an all-around great time. I ordered a Chef's Bento Box and it was so much food! Everything on my plate was good, except I felt the teriyaki chicken was too dry and the miso soup lacked depth. Other than those two misses, the food was delicious. The sushi tasted fresh- I especially liked the presentation of the tuna, it looked like little rosettes. The tempura battered vegetables were perfect and was marvelous with the ponzu sauce. Overall Sushi Joint is an excellent value and a charming neighborhood restaurant. I'd definitely comeback next time I visit this area.
