Ordered food for the whole office today and it did not disappoint! The rolls were all excellent and special requests were all handled perfectly! Shrimp fried rice was a huge portion with large shrimp. They forgot my clear soup but realized it before I even could. They called the number to my office, got the address, and delivered my $1.50 soup to me! Then to top it off we got a free house salad for every person in the office. $60 fed four adults and a kid too which is hard to do with sushi. We will absolutely be ordering more in the future and are so happy to have sushi options for lunch now! read more

I got the Pork Katsu w/ fried rice, takoyaki, tebasaki, and rock n roll sushi. Firstly, the rolls are always good here it's probably one of the best things. However, the rest isn't as much. The pork katsu came with a sauce on the side COLD straight from the fridge, but other than that it's okay. The takoyaki and tebasaki underwhelmed me the most. Takoyaki wasn't even a ball, it's like cutting a sphere in half. I basically was eating bland gooey batter honestly, even my friend couldn't eat it. Tebasaki.. just go buy fried chicken somewhere. Didn't bother to mix it with the sauce and gave us a small little cup of it on the side. We poured it over and it really was not enough, the sauce tastes like sugar water. Moral of the story, just get the rolls and sashimi lol. read more

I ordered 3 rolls and miso soup. I got 2 tuna and a shrimp tempura roll for a friend. I haven't had sushi in about 2 years. It was the tastiest sushi I ever ate. The tuna was so fresh and delicious! This is the new "It place." The small location barely caught my eye, but once it did I will never overlook it again. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Nestled in the Asian Quarter of Baton Rouge (that's what I'm calling it, not sure what it's actually called, but there's an Asian supermarket, a Vietnamese restaurant, and other various treasures of the Orient located on either side of the street in this area so I suppose it could be called a quarter and the makeup of the businesses do seem to be of Asian descent so we'll go with Asian Quarter because I don't know anywhere else in Baton Rouge with this density of eastern flair) is the Tokyo Grill. What a diamond in the rough! With just a few tables you might be tempted to dismiss them and head for the seemingly resplendent by comparison Saigon Noodles next door, but to do that would be a disservice to your taste buds. Take a seat and allow yourself to be bathed in graciousness and smiles from the lovely young ladies working there and peruse the menu for a favorite or go out on a limb. My visit included miso soup, gyoza, shrimp/beef/chicken hibachi and the Tokyo sushi roll. Not particularly audacious, I know, but I like what I like. Everything was cooked to order, arrived to the table piping hot and was delicious. I opted to forgo dessert as my sweet tooth had already been sated by the saccharine joy that was the presence of the hostess/server. When it was time to pay the bill I was taken aback by the affordability. This meal would have set me back twice, nay, thrice as much at any well established Baton Rougian far east eatery. Ive dined here in the past, and it's been ok. But in 4 years, nothing in this building has been updated, CLEANED, taken care of. Im not sure how this place has a 4 star rating. I dined there this past weekend, and it was bad. Has ANYONE noticed the grills and around the grills. The stuck on grease all around the grills, and the grease traps were.... just DIRTY!! the food was not even ok. The rice was well beyond stale. (Im asian... I eat rice DAILY and I know bad rice) It has a slimy texture and you can taste the old/sour taste in the rice, even with all the seasoning. May have been bad batch that night. The air vents and just overall cleanliness if this place is horrible. I would like to see their last inspection notes, because there is no way this place could have passed a health inspection. read more
