The first time I ordered from Tokyo House, the sushi and everything was great and fresh! So, tonight I thought I'd order from them again. Bad idea. I ordered in a Saturday night around 6:30 p.m. While the sushi rolls I ordered were good, there was something off about the taste of the ginger or the wasabi. There was an aftertaste that lingered after I finished eating and it permeated through my nasal passages...and it wasn't pleasant. I swear I could smell/taste mold. As I said, something was off. I ordered enough for my husband and I, so we got the free crab puffs. The first time I ever had them, they were great! But tonight, nothing was good about them at all. The wrapper holding the crab was soft. Not crispy as most crab puffs are made. It was oily, soft, and packed with crab meat that didn't taste good at all. I took one bite of it and once I tasted something wrong with the crab puffs too, I threw the rest out. Free crab puffs just wasn't a good idea tonight. Needless to say, later on I ended up feeling sick. Very nauseated. Definitely ate something (or several things) that may have gone bad, but was served to me anyways. So sad. My first experience with Tokyo House was wonderful. But after tonight's food and the fact that I'm sick from the food, I'm going to have to say goodbye to Tokyo House. read more

Once again i have found an all time favorite dish at this fine establishment. The House Chicken! If you do not like mushrooms what so ever or do not care for spicy food i do not think this will appeal to you. Oh my god it is out of this world! I do not think i could consume it every day back to back but every other day or once a week would be my preference. Its even amazing when its warm not burning hot temp. wise. We just ordered chicken teriyaki meals from Tokyo house. One with rice and one with vegetables. I think I got 5 small pieces of broccoli and some random cabbage. The chicken was way over cooked, marinated and the sauce was strange and thick. Normally, these dishes are good but today it was horrible. We also ordered gyoza. It was very much on the burnt side. We did call to let them know of the poor quality and the manager and employee didn't seem to care. Once you leave, it is not convenient to go back to have them make the gyoza again. Came in late Friday night and ordered two beef teriyaki bowls to go. Before I tear them up let me say I have been eating here for many years. This had been my go-to place for teriyaki bowls, even when Kyoto bowl was across the street......So I have always liked them and sent people there.......So back to what happened. First thing is they say "we only have large bowls". This only makes sense if they are pre-made right? Wrong, it took 20 minutes to make them. So basically they just wanted to charge me more, and they did, because the bowls were small. The "steak" was terrible, more like dried out beef jerky.....I have never had bad food here! It was so bad we couldn't eat more than a couple bites even though being very hungry after a hard days work. Very disappointed in Tokyo House. Wont be going back. read more

This place will accept 15-20 to Uber orders but keep their drivers waiting for 20 minutes for a small order. There's no reason they should be accepting so many orders but not be putting any food out and have an empty lobby. delivery drivers have other peoples orders also and if I had time to pick up other orders at restaurants before coming here and they make you wait an additional 20 minutes in store, your other orders go cold. Maybe be less greedy and make ur delivery orders in the right order instead of the chaotic delivery pickup station they currently have. read more

Order: Tempura roll Dragon roll Beef yakisoba Seaweed salad Tempura roll was disgusting. The shrimp was rubbery and the roll was so dry. Shrimp was like play doh dried out in the sun. Dragon roll was poor in taste and quality. Imitation crab does not do anything for the eel and avocado. The eel is incredibly cheap tasting. Yakisoba was a poor excuse for the term yakisoba. It uses the completely wrong kind of noodle. This is like a bad chow mein and doesn't possess the faint quality of it being yakisoba. Beef was chewy and too thick for yakisoba. The only saving grace was the seaweed salad, which if anyone knows is 90% of the time the same brand from a package from one supplier so it's guaranteed to be the same anywhere you go. No skill or difference in their seaweed salad. Never coming here again and I'm sad with this meal. read more

I tried this place tonight and maybe it was because it was late in the evening, the food did not taste fresh. We had the Mongolian beef, which was sticky and the beef was really hard. We had the orange chicken which was flavorful, but the meat was chewy and tasted old. We ordered the pork fried rice and again the pork was chewy and ick. And the noodles with chicken had curled up hard pieces of freezer burn chicken. We got the gyouza and the inside was raw and sticky. And the chicken egg roll had literal pellets of some kind of meat. Just really a bad experience. Hopefully we don't get sick for the little we did Eat. $60 was tossed in the trash. I didn't even let me dogs near the meat. Beware my friends. read more

The manager of this location is so rude to door dash drivers. I ordered take out and while I was waiting for my food a delivery driver for a third party showed up to pick up an order for a customer, while waiting the manager demanded to know where the delivery drivers bag was. The driver explained that bags aren't distributed to drivers and that the restaurant is required to provide a bag for the food. The manager then proceeded to throw the bag of food at the driver, call the driver a 'fucking idiot', and chase two other delivery drives out of the store while screaming at them. I get that sometimes you have a bad day or whatever but this guy was just doing his job and she was all in his face and causing a whole scene. Also feeling real bad for the two people who aren't going to get there food because the manager felt the need to chase their door dasher out of the store. read more

Also Ordered orange chicken, it was definitely heated up in a microwave and then sauce poured on top of it to make it seem fresh. Lastly, I ordered fried rice with pork, the pork was definitely not cooked right and was most unappetising. The fried rice was also obviously not fresh or even made the same day.. I took about 2 bites of each thing and threw them away. Worst experience ever ! The food was a little dry and just didn't seem like it was cooked well. The teriyaki chicken was hard. I wasn't very happy with the food. The woman who runs this place is even worse!!! I was sitting down eating and I heard her screaming at one of her employees. The employee was a very kind and respectful young man. He is Hispanic and works in the front at the register. He was very pleasant and professional when taking my order. However, I heard her start screaming at him saying he is a disappointment because the front isn't as clean as she wants it . Yelling over and over in front of customers that were there. I stumbled upon Tokyo House and it seems to be the gift that keeps giving. I'm typically a back door kinda guy myself, but Tokyo House opened wide and let me right through the front. The sushi is rolled tight and moist just how I like it. With a very eager and willing staff, I was serviced immediately. The drinks are phenomenal and will have you feeling looser than my ex. I first ordered the Rangoons and was pleasantly surprised with how hot, steamy, and creamy they were. Leaving me with a mouthful of steamy cream and a smile on my face. With a wide variety of choices, I reverted to the white meat "chicken breast". I've heard that the darker meat is more juicy "thighs and legs". It was ORGASMIC to say the least. I ordered food from them last night through DoorDash. Although delivery was quick, my food was horrible. I ordered orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, a single egg roll and the two piece free crab puffs they offered. First of all, the crab puffs were so hard and chewy! They tasted like they had been out all day and reheated multiple times. I took a bite out of both hoping that maybe it was just the one bad one. Nope. The egg roll was the same way! It was so hard to bite into and super chewy. The sauce around the orange chicken was so thick it was like a gel. The chicken was hard to bite into and extra chewy. The shrimp fried rice had so much oil in it that the rice was slimy and the shrimp were crispy and hard! I threw everything away and had to go buy more food. I will not order from them ever again. Ok, I'm gonna start this review off with people saying the orange chicken was too crispy and too much sauce. Those people need to settle down. In the description on here it says the orange chicken is not traditional. This is my favorite dish simply cause it's really crispy and there's a lot of sauce and the flavor is unbeatable. Second, to the person that says this is nothing like traditional Chinese food....most Americans would be appalled at "real" Chinese food. And by the way Tokyo is in Japan, not China. This place is fantastic and if you're gonna nit pick every little thing this may not be the place for you but it is for me! I hope you give them a chance. It's a fast food asian place that serves food with their own twist so of course it's not gonna be like run of the mill commercialized Panda Express. Super owner who loves his customers, I saw this bitch in there giving him a hard time while I was there and I wanted to rip into her. Now where else would you see customers so protective of a local restaurant owner if it weren't so good? Best orange chicken ever, the sauce actually tingles your tongue and it doesn't taste generic. His wife actually uses real oranges and it is so refreshing. The miso soup is so good and filling as are their rice bowls. They use very beautiful pearl rice in their rice bowls not just regular long-grain rice here. The Japanese very much value the quality of the rice and it shows here. The owner asked me specifically if the food was good because as he put it to my partner, "I always ask the woman if the food is good because they would know better about good quality food." read more

I've been in this place before over the years and always had a good experience. The man who runs it is so very nice and welcoming and cheerful (and sometimes flattering!). Tonight I was just looking for a place that was open after 9pm, when most non-chain places seem to close. I skirted in here just beforehis 9:30pm closing and ordered a "House Fried Rice" with shrimp, beef and chicken, small size. It was still warm when I got back to my daughter's apartment and I dove right it. It was the best fried rice I'd had in a long time, not gummy like some, not too salty like some, just right, and only $6. It was more than enough and I couldn't finish it so I'll have leftovers for tomorrow. I'm sure glad I made it there in time. I recommend this small Mom and Pop place.
