I think I finally found my new sushi place that's super close to my house and very tasty! I'm glad I came across this place, the service was amazing and they even offer happy hour EVERYDAY. Normally at other sushi places when I order off of the happy hour menu, I usually can tell that they're cheaper rolls since they're smaller and lack in flavor. This is not the case here at Sushi Ave - their happy hour rolls are full size and packed with flavor. The servers constantly checked up on us and even gave us a free roll for messing up our order without us asking. They are very attentive and their efforts definitely didn't go unnoticed. I'm excited to come back here soon!

My first time dining here, and I was pretty impressed. It's a smaller restaurant, but it didn't feel cramped. They have happy hour all day, which is a good deal. The rolls were tasty and the service was friendly and professional. Their signature rolls were bigger than traditional, which was a pleasant surprise! I'm always a fan of the Las Vegas roll, and theirs hit the spot. I especially loved their mango roll; the mango sauce is *chef's kiss*. The salmon sashimi was good as well. Decent sized cuts. The roll menu is quite large, so it was hard to choose only a few for dinner. Will certainly be back to try more~

Sushi Ave.... Sorry major mark missed on the Crazy Lobster roll. Also on the menu, "all day happy hour" and you get a regular menu. But only order off the happy hour menu? I was so confused. Please make 1 menu, stop the confusion! Crazy Lobster roll, says " crab mix, lobster tail, avocado roll....What was crazy, I am not sure it was lobster, langostino lobster (crayfish) maybe. Is was not a lobster tail it was more like the spicy crab mix chopped to death I am sure it was spoiled. I couldn't eat it. Now there was a star of the show, the mix tempura: hot, crispy and delicious! Edamame was also a disappointment, look at the pictures. Cleaned? No. Prepped? No. Flavor? No. Hawaiian shrimp....nothing Hawaiian about this fried shrimp dish. There was a sewer smell toward the back. Faint but there. They possibly had the sushi counter but took that out, bottles are covering the sushi station. I fely like I was down a Sushi Alley in the alley...

Nice little sushi spot Gilbert. They have happy hour daily, but it's not the greatest happy hour prices compared to other sushi locations. The sushi is fresh, decent size portions and service is good. Not the biggest restaurant but the food yummy. Definitely worth the stop of you are in the area.

Hello hello, Welcome to the New Year and my first review of the year, this is our second trip here at Sushi Ave. Jen & I were out doing some shopping and Jen suggested we get a bite to eat so this was our choice, I had the Spicy Ramen Noodle Bowl which is very good and not spicy at all, it is a good portion size and has all the goodies in it Yum, Jen had the Las Vegas & Lobster Roll and was delicious, the service was good and asked a couple times if anything was needed . The restaurant was nice & clean and well decorated. Staff was good and continued to do a great job on checking their guest. So with that stop by and give them a try, FYI the weekends are busy and packed. Enjoy

They have a cute little parking lot right out front. The location is a little funny right next to an auto part shop and a gas station. The restaurant inside is medium to small. It was cozy. They had lanterns at the front and looked like pickled ginseng and other roots in jars at the front. Their service is quick to greet you and let you take your time to look at the menu. I liked being able to take my time to look at the menu. They were ready to take our order right after we finished looking over the menu. We got their beef bulgogi and rice entree that came with miso soup and salad. The salad seemed fresh with a soy sauce dressing. It was just lettuce. The miso soup didn't have much seaweed in it. It also didn't have any tofu in it. It wasn't hot and it got cold early in the meal. We also had the spicy tuna and the dragon roll. The dragon roll was good with avocado on top of a slice, tuna on top of a slice, salmon on top of a slice, yellow tail on top of a slice, shrimp on top of a slice. The California roll portion tasted fine too. The spicy tuna tasted a little off. I liked the ginger that tasted typical of ginger. The food came out fairly quickly. I thought it was good but not enough to come back for this particular set of choices. My expectations might have been too high having had a entree at their sister restaurant. If I were in the area or a friend wanted to come here, I would get the dragon roll.

I've heard good things about this spot and finally tried it out and it did not disappoint! I ordered for carry out and got a spicy tuna roll and a Las Vegas roll. The spicy tuna roll actually had some good spice so that was a huge plus! The Vegas roll was great and had that lovely crunch to it. When I arrived to pick up my food, it was decently crowded. You can tell people enjoy coming here and I can't wait to dine in! The dining area looked very nice and there were families enjoying dinner as well! Staff was attentive and helpful. I'll be coming back to enjoy their happy house menu as well!

Second or third time having sushi Ave and I'm always happy with my order. I have only had delivery so I cannot comment on the service or ambiance but the quality of the food is great. I ordered the New York roll, sushi ave roll and chicken wings. Both rolls were very flavorful, creamy, and salty. I love the crunch and creaminess of the cream cheese and sauces they use. Every bite was delicious. The chicken wings were nice and crunchy after I threw them in the toaster over. Very good quality and tasty with the breading they use. I enjoyed the dipping sauce it came with as it gave the wings a whole new burst of flavor.

We walked in a weekday night and found the dining area quite small and full, except for their final open table next to the entrance. We took that spot and found out 'the hard way' they have those dastardly uncomfortable metal chairs. Not only is the seat firm and not cushioned, the bar that wraps around pinches in on your hip. We almost left but decided to tough it out. Our server was attentive and friendly and our order came out quite quickly. We ordered a few specialty rolls like their sweet potato roll, dragon roll and caterpillar roll. I also ordered a salmon sashimi. All of the rolls were well presented and best of all, tasty! It's not near the best sushi I've had, but it filled the craving we had. The wall murals and decor were simple but classy. We also noticed the noise level was good despite many people in a small space. Overall, this is a nice little neighborhood spot for sushi and worth a visit!

For months, this location has been on a radar based on seeing various Yelp friends post about this…read morelocation. I was intrigued for both their sushi selection and their cocktail menu. I figured a Sunday afternoon would be calm, so I decided to pop in for a solo lunch. What I Ordered: - Yuzu Mule: The drink was delicious and refreshing, so I ordered a second one. Definitely order if I return as well. - Hamachi Lime Roll: This roll had an odd texture to me, and ultimately, I grabbed the rest to go as it was a little off putting to me. The flavor was decent though I found myself wishing there was more crunch with tempura flakes or panko bread crumbs on top. - Crazy Roll: The winner between the two rolls in terms of flavor and preference. Though, I wish this roll had the spicy mayo the other one had. I'd definitely order again and ask for a side of spicy mayo that I could add to the roll. Love the soy paper option! As for ambiance? I thought country music was an incredibly odd choice for this establishment hence the 4 stars versus 5 star review. I'd prefer more traditional Japanese music, or heck, even some J-Rock over American country music. I'm guessing Sunday afternoon is a slower time, so it was employee choice. Overall, I'd visit again when in the area and recommend to friends/family.

Course 2: Spicy Scallop Futomaki/hokkaido scallop / benishoga / chili crisp/ takuan / wasabi mayo. This roll tastes great, scallop tastes fresh and I love the way it was seasoned. However the rice around it was too much that I couldn't taste the scallop fully. I wouldn't get this dish again because of the rice around it was too much. Course 3: Ocean Trout Mi-Cuit/ okinawa potato croquette / citrus cream/fried capers / crispy salmon skin. I love the cream and the capers in this dish. The fish is seared. Although not much flavor in the fish itself but because of the sauce, it complements the dish well. Course 4: Dessert - Yuzu Lychee Sorbet/vanilla whisky hojicha granita. Oh my gosh, this is my favorite dish! It was so good and refreshing! The yuzu sorbet was tart and creamy. And the hojicha ice underneath was delicious! I would come back to the restaurant just for this dish and the first dish!

She was super attentive too and kept refilling our drinks throughout the meal. We tried a mix of specialty rolls and more basic rolls. Most of the specialty rolls were around $15 each, while the basic rolls were under $10. The spicy tuna rolls were especially good for the price because they were cheap, but still came out huge. Overall the portions were very generous and the prices weren't bad at all. I got the Hell Fire roll and it definitely lived up to the name. I handle spicy food really well and even for me this thing was extremely spicy. It was almost painfully hot, but honestly I kind of enjoyed the challenge, It was also really good besides just being spicy, so I'd definitely get it again. The inside also had a cool vibe with all the colorful lighting and it wasn't too busy when we went which was nice. Most of our sushi came out almost immediately. The fried rolls understandably took a little longer since they had to be made fresh. My only small complaint is I wish everything would of came out closer to the same time, because some of us already had food while we were still waiting on the fried rolls. Overall, really good food, huge portions, fair prices and great service, definitely a spot I'd come back to.

We arrived a little early, so they told us we could sit at the bar & have a drink. We sat there for 15+ minutes & the girl getting things ready for the bar totally ignored us. Right before we were seated someone else took our drink order & said she'd bring them to the table. Hubby got a beer & I got a Tito's & cranberry juice. We ordered an appetizer. While we were waiting they sat another 4 with us. We all expected dinner & a "show", but none of us expected the show we got. One of the staff started screaming at another staff member. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it.
