Wow, I'm from NY & CA and have had sushi all over the country, and the quality of this sushi is top notch. Amazing uni (sea urchin) and rare anago (salt water eel). They have a terrific supplier out of Miami, and the chef/owner has trained with folks from Japan to learn the craft. Even the futomaki was sensational, as some sushi places don't include all of the pickles or have quality tamago (egg). As you can see from all of the pictures here on yelp, the presentation is outstanding as well. The interior is brand new, since the place is just 3 months old. It's very balanced to feel very welcoming, perfect lighting, and lovely jazz music at the perfect volume from the speakers. I inquired as to why there were just 5 reviews listed on yelp, and they pointed out that due to some confusion with their account for advertising with yelp, all of the amazing reviews that they got upon opening were put into the "not currently recommended" category. Scroll ALL the way down on the main page, and you will find over 40 reviews that are all 4 and 5 stars. This place doesn't feel like other places in the Naples area, and definitely not in the strip mall area in which it is located. I would put it in the same category as great local restaurants like Hob Nob, Tulia, The French, and Trulux for the quality of experience for sushi. I did not try the Thai food, but seeing as how the owner is originally from Thailand, and based on the other reviews, I'll bet it's fantastic, too. Best Pad Thai I've had in a long time. On the days I want a little fusion I can get some good sushi in their bento bowl too. Delicious food, great attentive staff and reasonable prices. Ordered in store, and got home and were missing a roll, when we called to figure out if we could get a replacement whoever we talk to argued with us that the roll was there we even sent pictures and they still continue to argue and we're very rude. Our friends and neighbors have been recommending Tokyo Thai Sushi for a while so we did a late lunch. We were greeted and brought to a booth on arrival. Our drinks quickly arrived. We were in Naples/Bonita springs for the very first time. Was looking for a lunch place online and found Tokyo Thai sushi. Had a pork belly ramen and a beef teriyaki bento. They both exceeded our expectations. The sashimis and sushi are very fresh. Good presentation as well. The waiter is very nice and attentive. He even offered us an umbrella to walk to our car as it was raining outside when we finished lunch. It's a very good experience. Hope they continue doing good with their business. My wife, daughter and I went here for an early dinner on a Sunday night. You would think they would be ready for customers at 4:40 and the fact that there were several other people in there indicated they were. We were seated quickly and than waited for about 12 min for someone to come over and ask if we wanted water. About 5 min later the water came out and we ordered. Because of allergies we asked for no sauce on our sushi rolls. The waitress asked if we wanted the sauce on the side and we had a short discussion about our allergies. So than we sat and watched one take out order after another go out the door. We watched this for about 40 min and than my daughters teriyaki salmon came from the kitchen. She was really hungry so she started eating. About 10 min later our three sushi rolls came. They were covered in sauce! Unfortunately we had another commitment and no more time to wait so we told the waitress to just bring us the check. She was very adamant that they remake the sushi to which I said no we have to leave and we have been here for over an hour please bring me the check. Someone else brought me the check and we paid and left. Very frustrated and hungry. My daughters salmon was very good. The sushi LOOKED ok but not a lot of fish. Their prices are fairly top end for a very not top end sushi restaurant. I would not recommend this train wreak of a horribly run restaurant to anyone. read more

We were hoping to find a good sushi place on the east side of town (no desire to go to 5th Ave). I had seen this little place in a strip mall over the years, but was a bit nervous to try it.... unsure how fresh the fish could be as it never looked busy. I heard they had new owners so we looked at the menu online. It looked promising! The photos of the food were beautiful & the interior of the restaurant looked nice. We're SO happy we tried it! My boyfriend and I dined in on a Friday night at Tokyo Thai Sushi. Previously, we've ordered takeout once before. I will say, I was very impressed with the takeout service, which made me want to try dining in. Really quickly about the takeout--we ordered the panang curry beef, the crispy duck, and a specialty roll. I was wary about ordering the crispy duck since it can get soggy in takeout (especially if they have the sauce on the duck) however they packaged the sauce separately which showed thoughtfulness. The roll was also delicious and fresh, and the panang curry yummy as well. We had to wait a couple minutes for our order when we went to pick it up and they gave us two complimentary draft beers while we waited which I wasn't expecting but definitely appreciated :) Our dining in experience was just as pleasant this time. We ordered the Dynamite Dragon Roll, the Steamed Shrimp Shumai, the Beef Panang Curry (again) and the Shrimp Tempura meal. The Dynamite Dragon Roll was one of the best rolls I've ever had! I like that they cut their rolls thin; so even though you have a mother of a Roll, it's still easy to eat without having to unhinge your jaw. This Roll has a baked seafood topping, which I thought was really good. Sometimes the topping can be fishy in my opinion, or too mayonnaise-y, but this was a perfect blend and not fishy at all. The shrimp shumai outer texture (steamed) was a little mushy for me, but my boyfriend really liked it and it did have good flavor. Panang curry was just as delicious as the takeout version, I got it medium spice, and it had a good kick to it. The Shrimp Tempura meal came with miso soup (or salad) and was typical--five shrimp and assorted veggies (broccoli, sweet potato, carrots, onions, and a shredded veg tempura disc about the size of a small plate). The tempura was nice and crispy although the shrimp were debatably over battered. I did do the Yelp check in that's available, and took advantage of the free Thai Donuts to complete the meal. What's there to say about Thai Donuts except warm pillows dipped in condensed milk and crushed peanuts? Always amaze balls (get it? Because they're balls...?) While I do think the food quality at this restaurant is OUTSTANDING, I will say, what compelled me to do this review and to keep coming back is the SERVICE. It seems like it is a family owned restaurant, and everyone working here is very friendly and I believe every server at the restaurant came by the table at least once to check on us and make sure we were good. I really appreciate good service and this place has it in spades! read more

This is THE BEST location we have found in Naples for Sushi and curries !! Oh My!! We went in Tuesday to try out the lunch menu. After the crunchy appetizer of Thai Spring Rolls, two of our party opted for a chicken curry selection. And our third member selected the sushi/sashimi teriyaki beef selection. All was excellent as was service. Questions were answered concisely and fully. The Tom Kha soup of the day was so tasty. I was ready to turn up the AC and enjoy a full bowl. A post script. Had dinner here tonight for the first time based on good reviews online...not sure what all the hype was about. We should have left after noticing the flies hovering around the table. Food was adequate at best. Chicken satay was rubbery and mostly flavorless. Sushi rolls didn't have much flavor either. Service was worse. I had ordered a special roll and was brought a regular roll instead. I told the server about the mistake and asked that he just charge for the regular roll (about half the price of a special roll). Instead, he insisted on bringing the special roll. When the bill came, sure enough, we were charged the full price for the special roll. It was okay. I got one of the special dinners and some was good and a few of them were not. I got the seafood with lobster tails, shrimp, mussels, scallops and fish. There was only half a lobster tail. The fish was fried to death and hard as a rock. There was also squid which wasn't on menu list. Some was overly salty. The veggies with it were mostly good and some were a little bit salty. The wife had teriyaki shrimp and I tasted them and they were pretty good. Not worst place but not great. read more
