I was stranded when my truck broke down. Insurance company referred them and was told they would be there in 45 minutes. Called the place 3 times to check status. They assured me they were on the way. Last time I was told they were only 15 minutes away. 2 hours later they canceled the call. Terrible service. If you can even call it that. My husband and I needed our car towed to a local tire and lube shop to have a tire repaired. Our insurance agency contacted the emergency road side assistance, who then contacted the closest available towing company. That towing company was Tom and Jerry's Shell. The driver, Joel, broke our transmission line when he hooked up the car. Upon arrival at the shop, our car was leaking transmission fluid everywhere. That was the first problem. The second problem came from the manager, Mark, at Tom and Jerry's Shell being completely unwilling to help us as we requested. Since the tire and lube shop did not offer transmission services, we wished to have the car towed to a shop that did. Mark only offered to bring the car to Tom and Jerry's and repair it there. We were not comfortable with that, since their tow driver obviously did not even know how to properly attach a tow line. We wanted a more reputable business to fix our car, and have Tom and Jerry's pay for the repairs and any other costs related to the breakage of the transmission line. My husband expressed this to Mark, but Mark's response was both defensive and personally insulting to my husband. This company is disrespectful, unprofessional, and not worth your time and money. Stay as far away from them as possible! read more

While I wouldn't necessarily have my vehicle services here, they did a reasonable job with the labor and work required. Towing tho, these guys rock. Not bad at all. I do not know what I would do without this place! The guys who work in the shop are incredibly friendly and honest. They have done a number of things for my husband and I'd vehicles and never overcharge and are fast too! From small stuff to bigger stuff they always do the job right and I would not go anywhere else. They recently changed my headlights with no wait and in seconds, they have also patched a tire on our truck and fixed the emissions on my Scion when no one else could. read more

All I can say is great service. I walked in and the Owner was very polite and very thorough inspecting my vehicle. The crew and staff was top notch service. If I would of gone anywhere else it would of cost me an arm and a leg. Service and price was great. Definitely will be going back if I ever need to have my vehicle serviced. Total scam artists- didn't provide itemized invoice of work performed. Tow driver flat out lied to me that dealer was closed when asked for after hours drop off there. Dealer was not closed- driver just diverted my car to shop owned by his boss. read more

Complete scam. The police will get them to tow your car and they will totally over charge you. Terrible business practice.

They are all unreliable liars. I scheduled a tow 3 days in advance with a person named Adam, thinking I would give them a heads up. I confirmed it again the day of the tow. I was told no problem. I even had confirmation from the tow truck driver an hour before they were supposed to show up. I waited over an hour and no one showed up. I called the driver and he would not answer my calls, and when I called Adam, he was conveniently not available. Hmmm. Go somewhere else. read more

WORST AUTO MECHANIC SHOP EVER!!! Do NOT even attempt to do any kind of business with these people unless your life absoultely depends on it!!! Even then, they'd probably still watch you suffer first... My boyfriend got towed by them last week (Thursday), since his car died not too far away from where they're located. They then offered him a flat towing rate as long as he got his car fixed at their on-site auto body shop, otherwise they'd charge him per mile to any other location. With this sounding like a good deal to him at the time, he obliged and I picked him up from their shop that day. They had to keep his car overnight, since their mechanic had already left for the day, and told him they'd be in contact the next day. Well, once he finally recieved their phone call with an update the next day (Friday), they told him that they've had no problem starting his car all day and that it's not showing any sign of dysfunction what so ever. So, they had him come pick his car up and sent him home with it as though it had never broken down in the first place. Low and behold, on his way to work 3 days later, (this past Monday), his car broke down again the exact same way it had before. So, he called these people again to have them come and tow his car, only for him to be able to get it started right after he hangs up the phone with them. He then calls them back immediately to cancel the tow, since he was able to get his car running. Then, of course, less than a mile after he was able to get his car started, it dies again. This time when he calls back saying that he does need the tow after all, the guy on the phone gives him major attitude and tells him that he needs to make up his mind, because he's starting to piss off the driver. (Big red flag #1) Once my boyfriend gets off of the phone with this incredibly rude and unprofessional shop manager, he then calls me and tells me what happened and asks me to pick him up from their location. He tells me that they should be there within half an hour to 45 min to come tow him, so I wait a few min before leaving the house. I arrived at their location approximately 15 min after he had gotten off of the phone with them, in the hopes of them arriving sooner than later. Half an hour goes by after my arrival to their location, (45 min since they had spoken with my boyfriend), and 2 people finally walk out of their shop together (the mechanic and their driver). They then continue to take their time waking around and talking outside, before the driver finally leaves and picks up my boyfriend, over an hour after they had spoken to him. (Big red flag #2) It keeps getting better, because even after the manager was completely rude to my boyfriend on the phone, the driver then proceeds to indirectly accuse my boyfriend of lying about how their mechanic sent him home with his car on Friday even though nothing was fixed, because the mechanic swears that's not what happened, but it absolutely was. (Big red flag #3) Then even after all 3 of those completely rude and very unprofessional instances, they continued to have his car for not 1, not 2, not even 3, but 4 whole days before they even bothered to make or return any of our phone calls inquiring about the vehicle. Every time that we would call them there was never a mechanic in the shop and the people who were there never had any answers about what was going on with his car the entire time that it was there. (Max boiling point) Since, today (Friday) has been my first day off since all of this ridiculousness began, I went there as soon as I could to remove our vehicle from their property. There was no way on this earth that they were going to get another dime of our money. I was happy to have our car towed out of there by another company and will gladly give our hard earned money to a much more respectable and professional business. This place has been around forever and I only been there twice but that will change now that I have had two good experiences and recommendations from friends who have said they come here all the time for middle tier level repairs (brakes, oil, tires, suspension, air, belts & hoses, 24 hr towing) and dependable quotes and service. The first time I went here was because I was driving to work and as I was heading north on Kingery towards work my car (1984 Buick Skyhawk) blew a spark plug out of the head. The car started running very loud, rough, now power and I barely could get it pulled into the lot of this Shell station which I noticed a sign on that they had a service center. I didn't know what was wrong with it at the time, I obviously couldn't diagnose it as I was driving down the road but it sounded bad and I was prepared for the worst. I explained to the young man at the service station what happened, that I worked just a block away and could they look at it and call me at work once they figured out what was wrong. Apparently I had over tightened a spark plug when replacing it and because the heads were aluminum on this engine the pressure in the cylinder was high enough to blow the spark plug right out of the head ripping the threads right out of the head. It sounded legit because I remembered tightening that plug and feeling like I may have pushed on the ratchet just a little to hard (I could feel the threads start to tear out) and it turned out to be true. So I didn't figure this service station at a gas station was setup to fix something of this nature. But the service manager said he could bore out the plug hole and use a head sealant glue to glue in a new threaded plug which would work fine so long as I always used a torque wrench and never over tightened the plug again. Then I braced myself for the price and time. $75 and it would be ready by lunch! I was amazed. I put another 50,000 miles on that car (this was 1993, but that line of cars which was the same as the Chevy Cavaliers and Pontiac Sunfires ran forever for a US car in that era, they just rusted out bad). So they put in this very reasonable fix and it lasted until I traded the car in with 170,000 miles on it. I never gave it much thought as my next door neighboor at the time owned a service station and did all the work on my cars for a great price and did fantastic work. But I always remembered how I was thinking they had me by the short hairs and this was going to cost me a mint but they did it cheap, gave me good advice about that and several other items regarding care of that particular motor and I just got a good sense they weren't messing with me. So I referred a lot of people to them based on this incident but never went back. So they get a 5 star for that. Fast Forward to this summer. I have a 2001 Toyota Solara (I take good care of my vehicles and drive them until they are good and dead) that needed new struts and I was talking to some people at work about good places to go as this is normally something that has to do with the car lasting a long time which I take the big stuff to the dealers, but with it being struts I thought I would go with a service station if I could find one with a good recommendation. Several people at work mentioned this place as doing good work for them and it being a stand up business that you could trust their estimates and they would shoot straight with you if anything came up unexpected and talk you through the options when they did. I remembered my experience from almost 20 years earlier being positive so I thought I would give them a call. The service manager I talked to was very up front with me about my options in terms of the cost, the age of the car, and the best options given the combination of factors. He won me over with his knowledge of the different parts available for my car and that if I was planning on driving the car for a while yet which was the best part for me to use. This was back in August. I told them that getting the job done well was more important than speed so if they needed to keep the car longer to have the time to do the job well that was fine with me. It did turn out that they called and asked to keep the car a day longer, but after driving it for 3 months I can say that they did a good job, it drives well, the price was within $20 of the estimate being lower than the estimate. They were all very professional and willing to make recommendations about other maintenance coming up given the age of the car. I am very impressed with the level of knowledge and quality of work for a small auto repair shop such as theirs and will definitely be going back and recommending them to others.
