The food quality has dipped, the prices might be right but only if you want sub par Gyros and burgers. That's what happened when my family and I went in. My wife got a gyros which was greasy and mush. The pita hard as a rock. My son got a cheeseburger and it was like A hockey puck. So over cooked it was inedible. My chicken sandwich was tasteless. Happened to see on way to meeting at Community First Medical Center. Looked like an interesting place so returned after meeting for lunch. Figured being next to college would have to be trendy. Between my wife and I tried the gyros, feta fries, onion rings and curly fries. Enjoyed everything but the gyros and curly fries were real standouts. Gal who took our order was very welcoming and engaging. Would rate staff 5 stars. Lots of windows and very clean. Only detractor would be the lack of parking. Several businesses share a tight corner lot. I definitely would recommend and will be returning again on my next visit to the area. Tom & Jerry's Gyros? I don't get the 3 1/2 star rating. I have eaten here before and their gyros are pretty good. Right now they have a special for buy 1 gyro w/fries & potatoes and get 1 gyro free. Good quality gyro meat, well seasoned and huge portions. I had to take the meat off and eat some before I could pick up the gyro. The owner of this business and his employee by the name of Lizzie are terrible with customer service. There is more to just owning a restaurant and making orders. The employee Lizzie didn't even seem like she wanted to work there, let alone take my order. I would advise to the owner to get better staff but he won't listen, because he is too busy defending his employee's attitude problem. This place has a must try Grecian chicken plate! This was my first time visiting Tom & Jerry's & I will definitely be returning! The menu has a variety for all. Daily specials, combos & the best part is your order is all made fresh to order & comes out hot! The portions on the plates are good enough for two people. Gyros? Burgers? Greek food? Look no further- you found the spot. If you are questioning whether to try T&J the answer is YES. Not sure why this place doesn't have more starts on here.... it's great! The service is very accommodating and friendly. They were patient and informative when taking my order and made sure we got everything we needed. The food came out fast and for two very large meals we paid around $20, which I thought was a great deal considering how good the food is. I have been to Tom and Jerry's in the HIP mall plenty of times but that one just doesn't compare! This location goes above and beyond. It was spacious and clean with a lot of seating. They are extremely generous with their sauces- they gave us the tzatziki sauce in containers that were much larger than the standard little plastic cups given at most gyro places. They also give a 10% discount to college students, which is a nice feature considering they are right across the street from the local community college (you don't have to attend college there to get the discount, any college ID will do). Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come here again. What I love most of this location, it is right across from my campus. The location is clean, fast friendly service. The food is amazing. Very well prepared, a huge range of choices. The burgers are awesome. The cheese steak grinder sandwich with fries is amazing. The Greek salad along with gyro meat is beyond delicious, portioned enough to share. I've only been to the restaurant itself once. All other times I order delivery via Beyond Menu. Sometimes the menu available to order from isn't quite right. Other times we'll get a call that they're out of something we're ordering. Not quite sure I understand why, if it's so popular. Regardless, their Philly Cheesesteak grinder is the cats meow... My Boyfriend placed an order for delivery and we were told the food would be ready in 10 minutes. When I got there, I told the woman at the counter that I was there to pick up two gyro combos, one with curly fries and one with a side of rice. The woman proceeded to tell me she did not have an order for two gyro combos and only had an order for one plate with everything on the side. I was in the room when my boyfriend ordered and heard the total (something along $20), so I knew that was not my order. I tried to tell her politely but she kept repeating "I specifically told him it would be an extra cost". I was extremely confused as to what she was even talking about. I was getting annoyed with her so I simply asked her if I could just order another combo. She responded rudely "Well you gunna have to wait". I ended up stepping aside to call my boyfriend to make sure I was repeating the order correctly (incase I was wrong in the situation). My boyfriend repeated the order to me and I was right. I went back up to the register and was trying to tell her my boyfriend never ordered everything on the side and was tell her the order was around $20 (because I did not want to leave with someone's order). She raised her voice at me again and responded "that's not your boyfriend ordered". I was fed up and told her to forget it and left. I don't recommend going here. The woman was short with thick glasses. She wasn't wearing her mask properly and was extremely rude. I also work with food and the way that she handled the situation was so unprofessional. I understand getting frustrated, whether it be with customers changing their order or returning food after you've explained to them multiple times about what their food entails. However that wasn't the case and the fault was on her end. I heard the women on the phone repeating the order (2 gyro combos with 1 side of curly fries and 1 side of rice). Rude! This is the first time i ordered for pick up. Weve had the food here before and love the fries. Today i thought i would place an order for pick up so my kids could have it for lunch. I came across Tom & Jerry's when I was by the UPS store on Montrose and Naraganzett. They happen to be in the same strip mall. As I walked into the restaurant I noticed it had a nice atmosphere and it was clean. The people at the register were pretty awesome. My first time there my order only took a couple of minutes. The second time in there it took a little longer. Here's the kicker, I was very surprised when the owner of the establishment came out from behind the counter and apologize for my for order taking so long. I didn't expect that since orders were coming in left and right on the phone and the lunch crowed had shown up. That's what I call a good businessman. Oh by way the food is fantastic. I work in the area and upon hearing wilburs was changing owners was a little worried as to what was in store. Dennis the owner was a great guy and the food was decent. I have since given t&j's a chance and am very impressed at the quality of the food and overall improvement of the decor. The menu has expanded about double and the new editions have been a breath of fresh air... the soup options were pretty limited back in the day but now they change daily and for the first time in a long time I have found actual vegetables in my soup which is something I was never used to seeing. flatbreads have become a staple of my diet....You get a ton of food for a very decent price...my favorite is the asiago chicken. The breakfast menu has seen a major upgrade and the sausage patties are the size of hockey pucks. The dessert menu has also upgraded... being transformed from simple soft serve to multiple types of hand scooped ice cream as well as cup cakes, brownies and a plethora of different sweets (jeffe, I would hope if you said we had a plethora of pinatas you would know what a plethora is). then theres the place itself.... it is much much cleaner and more visually pleasing then before...many improvements have been made and they were worth it. The staff has always been friendly when taking and providing my order. I cant lie that I was really scared when wilburs changed hands but the food and service has made me a tom and jerrys believer. Food is terrible! The gyros are the super thick pre-cut slices, NOT the good kind you slice off a rotating cone. The whole sandwich was soggy and disintegrating because of the mushy lettuce and sauce. The fries are the frozen crinkle cut kind, were not fresh, and were way too salty. The chocolate cake was dry and the frosting was runny and melting. Basically everything is pre-made frozen crap that some teenagers heat up for you. Not only is the food inedible, their service is pretty bad. We called ahead and the girl confirmed the order on the phone, but still messed it up and forgot 3 items. I went here twice. The first time I went, I got a gyro. It was okay: nothing special but nothing terrible. My niece liked the way the restaurant looked, so we went back again after a few months. That time I got a turkey sandwich. Within an hour, I started sweating and felt nauseous. I couldn't stop puking for the rest of the day and part of the next day. I found out I got food poisoning! I have never felt more physically sick in my entire life and will NEVER come back. The food here is mediocre at best and definitely not worth getting ill over. NEW REVIEW: I received an email from my Belly App (a reward system for restaurants and stores) on my birthday (9/16) from Tom & Jerry's. It was for a free dinner item photographed below, with my email blurred out. I went to redeem it tonight (9/22) and was told they don't use Belly and haven't for 4 months. There was no apology for it or any sort of compensation. They didn't weren't remorseful or sorry for the inconvenience. I even offered to show them the email. They said they've received a few others and they don't know why Belly is still sending emails. Poor customer service there and follow through by management. As a brand, you NEVER say that to a customer. That's like saying we're aware of an issue and don't give a crap. I'm in customer service and I can say without a doubt, this is a terrible mistake dealt with no professionalism by the location. They didn't even offer to escalate the complaint to management or anything. They just brushed me off. This could have been easily fixed had they even attempted to apologize. I hope someone sees this, because I told them they should figure it out and ensure they're erased from the Belly system, because I still see them on the app as a partner. They did not care at all. As a brand, they did a horrendous job at making sure they made mends in regards to the issue at hand. Warning to Belly users, they no longer will redeem your credit. Then I asked if they accept Samsung Pay and they had no clue. C'mon! That's a basic checkout question. OLD REVIEW: Mediocre service, but that's not always the case. I'm a student at the school across the street who gets periodic breaks here and there. I hardly have time to place orders or wait so I normally order a hot dog. On two occasions I've ordered a hot dog with fries from here it's taken them over 10 mins to prepare the food. Had the order been something that requires time to cook I understand but a hot dog.
