Do NOT buy tires from them. I went to this place 4 times and it caused my truck to have more problems. My tire sensor was cut off without asking me first. They put all season wheel on the rear and winter tire on another side that caused me to almost slip and crash in snow. I had to drive 10 mph to home. Also, I brought four tires and asked them if they would pass the inspection. One tire was DRY ROTTED and FAILED the inspection. When I went back, they have the nerve to charge me for ANOTHER TIRE. read more

So I woke up to a flat rear tire-and believe me I lost it. With a full day packed with errands, and no wheels-I felt defeated. I too had heard alot of really great things about Paul and Tom's Tire Trax Inc, so today was the day. I was sending out smoke signals, and sincerely looking for a lifeline out of my crisis. Realizing it was already 11am, I figured there was no way today could be saved. I gave them a call anyway, to see when I might be able to get in. Tom answered in a friendly and cheerful manner, quickly calming my nerves. He was polite and informative, as he walked me through where to find the tire and rim sizes. He offered a price of $50 per tire-mounted and balanced.I then asked what were the options for a pair? He said he did have a pair or complete set if I wanted. I then asked,"how soon could you take care of it?" His response was," how long will it take you to get here? Come on in and we can get you in and back on your way. read more

Visited the store for the 1st time because of a recommendation from a friend. Have long heard these guys were great and they were! I have a lease which is up in about 4 months and I needed two front tires to get me through the Winter with some decent tread and not a prohibitive price. Although the store was packed, they got me in as soon as they possibly could, both had great senses of humor, and got the job done for a great rate. After bad experiences at Monroe Auto and Tire I found Tire Trax and what a find it is. I got a new spare for $60 AND they repatched a tire that had just been "repaired" badly (it was flat again after 3 days because of them not sealing the rim and putting it on backwards!at Monroe AND charging $58). I went there yesterday because I needed tires for my 2011 Smartcar to pass inspection. I called ahead to make sure that they had used tires on-hand and then showed up about 30 minutes later. I made the mistake of parking up front by the road when I first got there -- drive to the back of the building as that's where their garage is and where the customer entrance is. These guys are seriously cheap when it comes to tires. I was being quoted between $100-$150 per tire at other places and shops for tires, mounting and balancing. With these guys, I paid $140 to have all four tires replaced plus $1 each to have the old tires disposed of. Sure, they won't last me as long as new ones but I'm not planning on keeping the car for 60k miles so I don't mind. The tires they gave me probably have another 15k miles on them before I need to replace them again. They're definitely not new tires or even halfway to new tires but they're fitting my needs for right now. There were about 4-5 guys working in the shop when I got there. The main guy I worked with at the desk was moderately friendly -- I think he cracked a smile once or twice -- but then again I'm paying for tires and not for giggles so I didn't mind too much. I did have to spend about 20 minutes sitting them hearing them make every joke about smartcars that I've heard in the 3 years that I've owned it -- which was a little irritating, but again... paying for tires and not for giggles. When they're saving me over $250, I can deal with having my car made fun of for the length of a tv show. The waiting area is just a few chairs, some held together with duct tape. There will be car grease and dust on just about everything and the place will smell like any car garage where people actually work and get dirty for a living. Just so you know, ahead of time. As someone on a fixed budget who doesn't need tires that'll last me forever, this place was perfect. read more

I blew a tire on a car I had just agreed to sell. I needed to replace it, quickly. I called all my local, suburban car shops and tire shops. They don't keep even the most common tires in stock. I called 3 big-name tire chains and they all wanted $200 for one tire. Not one of them could do the job within 2 days. Had a slow leak in my tire due to a nail. Showed up, pulled in the garage, watched the tech pull my tire off my Scion IQ. Watched him pull the nail out, patch it up, test it with air, dunked it in water to check it, and put it back on my car, I paid and was on my way. All in less than fifteen minutes ;-) read more

The first time i went to tire trax, they were great. Fast, helpful, and cheap. However, my second experience was not as good. Went in with my husband and stood there for about 5 minutes waiting to be acknowledged. The counter guy just sat there eating a sandwich. We walked out. I understand if you're on break, but at my job, we don't take breaks if it's busy. They clearly don't need our business, so they have lost it forever. read more
