I shop at this grocery store pretty frequently--mainly because it's convenient for me--and overall, it's a solid option. The store itself is always clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, which I really appreciate when I'm in a hurry. A couple of years ago, I noticed a recurring issue with stale or even rotten items, which was frustrating. Thankfully, that has improved quite a bit over time. That said, I still make it a point to double-check expiration dates just to be safe. One area that stands out is the floral department. They offer a wide variety of affordable, pre-made arrangements, along with a nice selection of vases. Most of the time the flowers are fresh and a great value, though on my last visit I did notice a few arrangements that were already starting to wilt. It's still a good spot for reasonably priced flowers if you take a quick look before buying. Customer service is consistently good--staff are generally friendly and helpful--and they also have a pretty good beer and wine selection, which is a bonus. Cashiers at this store need to have more training if they want that customers comeback ! Today ,we had one cashier that was not very well trained and rude !We think that the service is better at other grocery stores in Frisco . We have Sprouts,HEB,Kroger,Market Street those stores train their employees better and buyers have a good experience at the store and of course comeback! We learn a lesson ! Putting groceries in your cart is WAY too much work. Don't expect a thank you either. But, no surprise, the store isn't crowded

Two issue: (1) Fuel Center Recurring Problems, and (2) Food expiration dates (1) I regularly have issues with this fuel center such as redeeming rewards and the equipement being slow, faulty or just out of service. There were more issues today despite the center being overhauled recently. The pump software is painfully slow and can often lose your rewards points (2) I have been going to this store since it opened, primarily out of convenience (just a couple of block from my house). You need to be very careful and inspect the expiration dates on all refridgerated items. They don't consistently pull outdated items, or rotate stock when restocking so past due dates can be found on items even if you pull from the back. read more

Literally worst Tom Thumb I've ever been, i rather go to deep Ellum at 11 pm on a Saturday. Let's start with how it went, i went to go get some fish and I'm clearly speaking loud enough for someone to hear me and the guy made me repeat myself 4 times until i look at the other guest over like i know im not crazy and he even agreed that the employee was being weird. The employee was just being odd and lazy all i wanted was two items and he was like oh just get those frozen ones. And i was like no i need them for now and those are still frozen. We go back and forth and he's like oh well those are fresher and they're the same thing. I end up just leaving because he rather fight with me than get me those two pieces of fish. I walk over to the dairy section and this random guy is having a full meltdown alone screaming and cussing up a storm because of one item. Instead of anyone asking him to leave everyone just ignores it. The place felt so dirty, nothing about shopping there felt remotely nice. And for the prices, yea i just rather stick to other places. Waited over 45 minutes for my medication just to get banned at the end of it. After days of being delayed my medication was promised to be ready "the next day" Once I showed up it was, you guessed it, delayed till the next day. At this point I refused to leave until I got my medication. 45 minutes later somehow I got all of my medication. Surprised to see they had it since it had to be picked up the next day? Once I was handed my meds I got banned from picking up my medication at this Tom Thumb, I agreed it wouldn't happen. I wouldn't shop / get your medication here. Watch out for their advertised and shelf price compared to what you get charged. I was overcharged .38 (and don't really care) and brought it to the attention of customer service so they could fix. She looked at me like I was crazy and made no effort to reach in the cash drawer and hand me the change. Needless to say, didn't apologize. I wasn't going to spend one second more seeking a refund for the overcharge. The time and effort they go through to make it hard to get your money is not worth it. This is a new location for Tom Thumb, a Safeway Company. I visited it today and enjoyed the trip, but the crowds were a little big. You should not have a problem finding anything you need. This location has everything you could imagine. The bakery had the fresh bread smell and enjoyed the many sampling stations through out the store. From the bakery, sushi, produce, meat market, seafood, wine/beer, and pharmacy. It's there. Take your time during your first visit. The register area was a little tight. All registers were open and it was crowded with the grand opening event. Shouldn't be a problem in the future. There were express lanes and self checkout lanes. There is also a Starbucks located on property. Make sure you grab the Tom Thumb rewards card for in store discounts and fuel price breaks. read more

This Tom Thumb is on the corner of Lebanon and FM 423 (main). They keep the place really organized and clean. They have a good selection of meats and vegetables. The staff here are really friendly and have not had any problems shopping here. They have a cute little Starbucks stand in the store for people that need coffee during their grocery shopping trip. The pharmacy inside seems to be decent as well. I've never seen a line in there ... so I imagine there wouldn't be any wait time at all. read more

The Tom Thumb Pharmacy in Frisco on 423 is the worst ever. 8 days ago my doctor contacted them for a new 90 day RX. I have been there 3 times to pick it up and am given 3 at a time. 3 trips without anyone calling, emailing or texting me, even though I was promised on Saturday the full RX would be filled today. Make no mistake, they have filed this with my insurance. When I told them that I didn't want to come back again for the 4th time and asked them to deliver, they asked for my credit card to charge me for the delivery. They have 60 of the 90 day RX in stock, but only give me 3n at a time. My prescriptions also cost me a lot more here than my last pharmacy. IF I can ever get this one filled, not only has Tom Thumb lost me as a pharmacy customer, but store customer as well. Goodbye Tom Thumb and HELLO H.E.B! Thankfully they open tomorrow! read more

The worst app now. In the past you could make a list and clip coupons and refer to them while in the store. You could even scan items at the store to add the coupon for the item you wanted if you grew weary of looking through all the coupons before going to the store. Now, if you try to look at anything on the app while in the store, it is useless because a message appears that there are network problems. Not impressed. The produce was crap, the selection of chicken and beef in the butcher case looked suspect. The only person in the store who was helpful was the butcher who offered to take the skin off a piece of salmon I was purchasing (from pre-packaged) bc I was looking for Salmon w/o skin. Checkers were horribly slow, baggers were even worse. They left a $25 bottle of wine out of my cart - so I had to GO BACK... total inconvenience, and no apology whatsoever. No sense of urgency, which you'd expect from a higher-priced grocery store. The chain is clearly suffering and their standards have gone south. I have come in to purchase flowers twice now, both occasions have been on a late Saturday afternoon. I found a bouquet that I liked, and wanted to create an arrangement. After standing around for about 5 minutes both time we have to go to customer service to get assistance. Once we finally get someone to help us we were told they don't work in the flower department and don't know how to wrap or create the arrangement. read more

Just made my last trip to Tom Thumb. There were so many outages, but that wasn't the tipping point. We've seen that in several stores. We stood at the deli counter for over 5 minutes with nobody willing to help us. If you're busy, acknowledge our presence and ask us to come back in a few minutes. Several people looked us right in the eye and walked past us without a word. Thats not only rude, it gets you a bad review! Market Street isn't much farther away and has much better customer service! We love this grocery store and go here all of the time. Tonight however we used the bakery for the first and last time. We ordered a cake last night, wrote down exactly what to write on the cake on the order form. When we went to pick it up tonight, my wife realized that they left two words off. So they added the words kinda off to the side. It definitely looked like it was added later, but we had to have the cake tonight so we just paid for it. When we got it home, my wife opened it back up and realized that they misspelled the word awesome. Ok really? How hard is this? My wife made the trip back up to the store, complained and they decided to just make another cake right then. So my wife left, came back home, then 45 minutes later it was done. I went back to the store to pick it up. They lady behind the counter to redid the cake told me that she spoke to her manager and wanted to let us know that if we use them again sometime, that they would give us a 10% discount. Really? We had to make three separate trips to your store because your workers don't know how to read or spell and you are going to give me $2 off my next purchase. This place as far as customer service goes is the worst. I wanted to order a sandwich from the deli and on multiple occasions their staff is aware that you are there but you have to actually summons them over to be waited on. Same issue at customer service desk . Many times they have only one checkout lane open and no self checkout lanes so you just end up waiting in line for too long with just one or two items to checkout. No wonder Kroger is always so much busier than Tom Thumb. Even though Tom Thumb is more convenient for me I will just take my business to Kroger. read more

The Pharmacy department is wonderful. The staff goes out of their way to make sure there are no issues, and are cheerful in helping all the patrons I have seen. I love the discount coupons they provide when we earn them. The store is always clean, and the regular grocery staff is always helpful. Several times I have had my motorized shopping cart run low on charge. The staff has always "rushed to the rescue" and helped me move my groceries from one cart to another. read more

This is a scam. The wine sale is a Joke. There is no 30% off in addition to your 10% off of six bottles or more. Sadly I wasted to much time over the last two days trying to figure out my receipt and Tom Thumbs false advertising. I went into the new 5550 FM 423 Frisco, TX 75034 Tom Thumb to purchase some wine that is being advertised in their stores for 10% off six bottles or more plus an additional 30% off $20 bottles or more. When I checked out my receipt was not reflecting the correct amount. I went to customer service for a wasted 20 minutes to have three managers try and figure out why the 30% was not reflected. I ended up leaving only to go online and find others who had this problem. When I returned to the store the next morning to return the 10 bottles of wine the manager of the customer service must have just rolled out of bed because he could care less that i was there and he definitely didn't care why i was returning the wine. I asked for the store manager and when Mr. young arrived I explained that this is false advertising. I showed him my receipt and he didn't know why the discount was not applied. After doing my research I explained it to him, No where in the store or on the ads in the store does the 30% say off original white sticker price. I took pictures of the banners as well as the labels under the wines just to double check and make sure that i wasn't missing something. He asked if I had a problem and I said no not really, just looking at the sirloin steaks, he asked if there was a problem and I said no, I just wish they were thicker sirloin steaks. He said he would cut a thicker sirloin steak. He did and at inspection I should have put it back on the counter. It appeared to be VERY fatty and getting home this meat WAS MOSTLY FAT!!!!!!!! I went to this location last night. They were running a special on petite sirloin...buy one package get two free. Sounded like a great deal...until I got home and went to package the steaks for the freezer. The steaks were packaged in such a way as to hide the fact that the underside was all and I mean ALL fat. Why run a special and then rip people off. I have enclosed a picture of the first steak out of the package. I feel taken advantage of and I won't shop here again. For a new store - the CS is horrific. At 10:30PM shopped & no cashier appeared after 8 minutes I called out a few times. Stock guy (working hard) got on intercom for "cashier" BUT NO One came after 10 more min. I called out - as I left my groceries, all 3-4 were outside!
