The shop has had a makeover through the years but it has held its place in the Union Landing shopping center comfortably. Its convenient location makes it a great spot to include in your errand runs and being close to the highway allows commuters to come grab a bite along their way home from work or during their lunch breaks. There's usually plenty of parking on this side of the mall making it a quick get and go experience. Their menu is pretty straightforward - they have a few combinations of meat and sauces that are served on your choice of bread/wrap (white, wheat, Parmesan, sourdough, spinach tortilla, gluten free tortilla) in the preferred size (3 inch, 6 inch, 9 inch). Some variations can be ordered as cold cut or toasted to make it hot and melty. The six inches doesn't sound like much but the quarter pound of meat is plenty to fill you up. If you're hungry for more, consider their larger sizes and be prepared to feast. The prices have certainly gone up and have made getting a sandwich as takeout a very unlikely event. Fortunately, through their mobile app, there are deals and rewards that can be redeemed to save you money while filling you up. Also once a year, around your birthday, you'll get a free six inch sandwich to celebrate your special day. I came in for a pick up and the staff were very friendly. They seem to take pride in remembering their regulars and were very welcoming. My order was made just about on time and was packaged well. While they do have plenty of seating, I opted to order mine to go. Their dining area seemed pretty clean and organized so for those looking to dine in, you'll be comfortable in the well ventilated room. The sandwich I ordered was loaded with hot pastrami and had all the fixings (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and sliced pepperoncini) on a Parmesan loaf. It was delicious and meaty! It was already cut in half making it easy to share to save for later. Overall, TOGO'S Sandwiches satisfies your deli meat craving in the form of toasty sandwiches packed with your choice of turkey, roast beef or pastrami and a variety of vegetables. The price point is reasonable compared to other sandwich shops but to me, it's still too expensive to eat regularly. But if you do come in often, the staff may get to know you and even remember your "usual" order. Ordered two sandwiches on french bread one with Albacore tuna the other Turkey and Cheddar both with everything. I'm not sure what the cashier heard but the tuna sandwich was made with some sort of wheat oat bread which I am sure is very healthy. But that's not what I wanted. The second sandwich with french bread was made correctly. But the issue here is that the bread was not only over whelming, it was also very dry. Making it hard to swallow, so I ate half. next door there is a supermarket where I bought some very soft bread rolls. The sandwiches here are usually good and I have had good experiences prior. But last week, I ordered my favorite. A tuna sandwich toasted and all the vegetables. The same thing that I always get. However this time the guy surprised me with the worst sandwich that I have ever had. Couldn't eat it. Looked like he made the sandwich with all the veggies and than put it in the microwave. However, My online order simply wasn't correct. It's all wrapped up and taped shut so you really can't check it before you leave the store. We get all the way home and the toppings we asked for weren't there. Other toppings like Mayo were there (which we have allergies). The pastrami had maybe half the amount of normal. Is that an inflation issue or where the workers not measuring correctly? We double-checked our online order to see if we made a mistake. Nope, there just wasn't care taken when preparing the sandwiches. Two sandwiches and $26 wasted. I hope there is some management training for the staff there.
