If you want to eat truly good food in Pullman which isn't Korean/Japanese, guess what? You get to drive to Clarkston! Yay. Basically I went to this restaurant with my roommate before shopping at Costco so we wouldn't buy $200.00 more of food than we needed, then I took my girlfriend here once. It's a truly awesome place, and a part of a neat local chain, with incredible goat-cheese bread appetizers, very solid pieces, and delectable ravioli and pasta. The sauces are fully worthy of a place called Tomato Bros, and the paper over the tables and crayons for drawing on are a siren call to neurotic college students who are temporarily regressing into early childhood over too much homework load stress. Don't fear US 95, hit the road, tune into satellite radio (the only radio in Pullman you can get, heh), and remember that the cops don't care in Idaho! The drive is worth it. This place is fantastic. I had the prosciutto sunrise piazza and it is one of the best pizzas I have had. All the flavors went together so well. Let's start the review with a disclaimer - this Italian woman is spoiled when it comes to good Italian food. That said, this place was a nice place to go for lunch. I (and many of my colleagues) had the lunch buffet which included a tiny salad bar (lettuce and maybe 3 or 4 other ingredients), soup choice, and them 4 or 5 meals. I tried a little of several items and everything was tasty, nothing super exciting, but certainly tasty. On the service front our waitress was very helpful, friendly and responsive so there are no complaints there. read more

Let's face it. You can only go to Fazzari's so many times a week. In between visits Tomato Bros is a suitable substitute. Great service, marked with solid food and a good atmosphere keeps this place in the running for some of the best eats in Clarkston. Whenever we're in town, we come here at least once and have never been disappointed. All their pasta dishes are good and they have one of the best selections of wine in town if you are in to that sorta thing. You'll be challenged to find anything on the menu you won't enjoy. So it's been awhile since my last visit here. To long. So I went twice! Had time for the lunch buffet and was happy I did. Still as good as ever. Nice fresh salad bar and 3 soups that are all good except one which I had. More on that later. The sausage cacciatore is always great and with the addition of some pepper flakes is outstanding. Lasagna, chicken parm, and garlic bread all bring some great Italian flavors.I had my fill and needed just a little something for dessert. After careful consideration I opted for another bowl of the awesome Tuscan soup! It would be very easy to make a meal of it and some garlic bread! I am always too full when I leave from lunch buffet. But somehow I survive another day! So I was going to write a new review for my dinner visit. Guess you can't do that! Who knew? After the heavy lunch I wasn't real hungry. But I always liked happy hour there so off I went about 5 30. Wandered into the bar area and grabbed a spot at the bar. Started with a very nice glass of 2014 Maryhill red. It was awesome. I finally decided on a kale and beet salad! What the hell. Never had one before and I like both of those foods so.... why not? It also had candied walnuts and a nice vinaigrette. I did not love it, BUT it was very good and I ate every bite. It was a bit sweet. If the beets hadn't been so sweet it may have been outstanding.I like beets with a bit more vinegar bite to them and I think if they had that the salad would have been more balanced. BUT, that's me. Been here before but forgot the quality of the appetizers. Had the calamari, seared ahi tuna, and hummus platter with bread and veggies. Love the hummus and calamari was excellent. Very good food but extremely overpriced. Service was rude and actually accused us of trying to lie on our buffet selection for father's day. She told us we had are off the grand buffet line, when we did not. The difference was about 25.00 per person. She was wrong and it took her 15 minutes to remove the extra charges from our bill. I was completely appalled that she accused us of that as I am a very honest person and this was quite the insult. I really liked it here! The atmosphere was great and so was our server. It's a little spendy but the food was pretty good. I got the Chicken Parmesan and really, you can't go wrong with that. Sooo good. My husband got the steak bites and shrimp and his was just O.K. The LCV is really popular for steak bites, everyone has them and they're all pretty much the same, breaded little pieces of steak that are a little too greasy. The best steak bites in the Lewiston/Clarkston area are at Jollymores, hands down. The sauce was watery and tasteless. The shrimp was slightly over cooked. Overall not bad but not amazing. I had already eaten, but went there to watch a baseball game at the bar in October. No smoking at restaurants and bars in Clarkston, WA, which was a nice switch from Lewiston, ID. We always visit Tomato Brothers when visiting family in the area. The food is good, though a bit overpriced. $34 for a prime rib steak is a bit much for a place that isn't a steakhouse. However, it's a fun atmosphere. Kids love being able to draw on the paper table coverings. read more

So had a great experience. It all started with our waitress Lily. Very pleasant young lady and when I asked if the soup had chicken stock in it prior to ordering she said yes. I said not having that and my wife told her I was allergic to chicken. So I ordered my meal, seafood alfredo, and she came back out to inform me the alfredo had chicken stock and to offer some alternatives. The best Italian restaurant in the area by far with the largest wine selection as well. The servers are all very knowledgeable and prompt. My favorite dish is the Cajun Chicken and Rice. These folks have it right. Top notch service, excellent food, a great variety for the theme, and just stellar people make this place a very worthwhile stop in the LC Valley. I've personally been going here since open. They did have a middle rough patch that usually makes or breaks valley businesses, but they came out on top and have not looked back. I live here. I can tell you I have been to Tomato Bros. , mostly with business associates, likely 70 times. The food is made with fresh, quality ingredients, and is absolutely the best place in the valley to eat. Prices are fair, service is second to none. I have never been disappointed in anything. Atmosphere is wonderful as well. It is a restaurant under a company called Happy Day Corporation. These folks certainly know what it takes. Every one of their restaurants are impeccably clean, with outstanding food. Even their fast food restaurants. These folks also support many programs in our valley....giving back. Last night the hubby and I decided to do our anniversary dinner at Tomato Brothers. We got there a little later in the evening so I wasn't sure if we'd be able to get a table but we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was Alex and she was super awesome, sweet and polite. We ordered the seared Ahi appetizer and it was amazing. We both ordered steak and salads and the food was cooked perfectly and flavored extremely well. I know most folks go there for the pastas but their steaks are excellent. Tomato Brothers is now my go to place for great steak and pasta in the valley. Did a group dinner on a Friday night, which was also a hometown rivalry high school football game night. We had reservations (coordinated with Ryan, who was fantastic) and got seated in a separate room that could accommodate our large group. Service was super. The server, Lily, was a relatively new employee but she earned her way with us. She was on top of beverages as well as meals and didn't let us linger in wait of refills. The food was outstanding. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal; we had many selections from the varied menu. Too bad we don't have places like this where we live. Service is our top concern, followed by quality and taste of the food. Perfect mask signs clearly posted as well as another sign on how to sneeze into your elbow - good job! Staff wearing masks and gloves and disposable menus. I did notice a person that went to the restroom without a mask. He actually came from the bar and went into the Women's restroom, went back to his table to get his mask, and then he carried the mask out the door. So he went right by the reception area 3 times without his mask and nobody said anything to him. People wandering around without their masks after they are seated seems to be a common problem in the Clarkston, WA, area. Please stop them from doing that!
