If you blink you may miss this little sandwich shop, as it's not visible from the street. It's in a tiny courtyard located in the middle of the shopping center where Orchard Hardware is located. I ordered at the counter, large quinoa salad to go, $8.00 and it was ready in a flash. The lady behind the counter asked if I also wanted pita. The salad was packed in a styrofoam cup along with a fork and napkin. It was good, containing red quinoa, garbanzos, black beans, greens In a light vinaigrette dressing. Talk about a hidden gem! Even having the address, this place is hard to find. It's located in an alleyway between buildings in the orchard hardware shopping center. The restaurant has two entrances. On one side it is just a walk up window to place your order. The other door also has the walk up window and a few small tables. My overall impression is that most of the business is take out. We found a small table on the outdoor patio. These were also hard to come by. I ordered the large barbecue chicken salad. Each of my friends also ordered a salad, one large size and one got the small size. The portions are huge. Unless you're very hungry, the small size should be more than enough. Each of the salads was delicious. If I am in the neighborhood, I would definitely return for a take-out salad lunch. I wouldn't recommend coming here for dine in eating. I am so happy I found this little gem! I saw the reviews on Yelp while looking for a new place for lunch and I had to try it. Here's what's so magical about this place and the people who work there: it is so personal and welcoming. You can tell it's family owned and run; the women are visible behind the ordering counter and you can watch them making the sandwiches. They are very sweet and even though it is counter service, they tell you to have a seat and they will bring the food to you. The last time I went, I brought my dog and they even asked if I would like a water bowl for him! As for the food, it's just simple and good. I've had the BLT both times I've been there and it's always delicious. I've also had the caprese salad and the amount of mozzarella is amazing for the price. My husband has had the chicken breast sandwich and he is always pleased with the flavor and quality. Another Yelp find! Glad to have found this place. Came for lunch with a friend. Ample free parking at the front. I had some trouble locating the place though because it's located in a sort of apartment complex for businesses and there wasn't a suite number. But it's on the first floor, right behind Madonna Nouvelle. Place is tiny so we opted for one of the tables outside. The kind ladies brought our plates and water out for us. Note that there is direct sun, so it can get pretty hot. Note also that they do get pretty busy quickly. Lastly, they take credit card and they cater, delivering up to Fallbrook. So if you get your orders in before 10 am, then they'll have the lunch arrive by noon. I got the Nature salad for $6. Thank God I got the small, because portions are ginormous. There's a few things i noticed that knock this review down for me: -the lemon cake looks like it's the same one that Costco sells. -The gazpacho soup i had was awful. It tasted like canned tomato soup chilled and they just added cucumbers to it. There was zero texture to it. The flavor was horrible. It was disgusting. -The sandwich bread they use is grocery store quality/brand. I appreciate the fact that it's a small family business with hardworking women but I believe these reviews are a bit inflated. Their salads are fresh to order but I have serious doubts that a lot of the items they sell are made in house. At the very least get some of them from a local bakery or something (ie: the bread, soup, cake). Only come here if you plan on getting a salad. read more
