Fresh and delicious every time! I ordered through 'Too Good to Go' and got an overstuffed box full of donuts. Totally worth it since they give you way more and the donuts are freshly made that day. Loads of parking. Friendly staff. Lots of room to sit and enjoy a donut w/coffee. Vintage drive thru donut spot. So fun.

Decided to try Tommy's Doughnuts after finally snagging a Too Good To Go box, and I'm so glad we did! We live nearby and had been curious. The box was packed with a great assortment of doughnuts--different types and flavors--and it was absolutely worth the $9.99. Everything was fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back to try more of their goodies!

Such a good box from TGTG app

This review is for the 3 boxes we got through the Too Good To Go app. All the boxes were filled with a good assortment of donuts. Everything tasted so fresh even though it was the end of the day.

We were picking up a meal from IHOP and saw this on the way there. We've been passing by this doughnut shop for years now and it's a first time for us to try this place. They have amazing donuts and whenever I get a sugar craving and see donuts, I can't say no lol This place is unassuming, has an iconic sign and cute inside with a few tables if you like to dine in. They are the best within our 2 mile radius I think. Just sad that they don't sell lotto coz most doughnut places has them. The two places I go to has them so it's like a one-stop-shop. I can tell that they always have it fresh cause considering that there is not much on their display stand, it means that the selection will be gone for the day so they can make fresh new batches the next day. Since there's just the two of us(hubby), we got half a dozen doughnuts with 2 of each - chocolate, glazed and sugar plus a dozen of doughnut holes. I know that's still a lot for the two of us hahaha Oh boy! My eyes were bigger than my stomach That's bad! From now on, we will come here for the donuts and also the price. I just noticed that they cost less for a dozen compared to other ones in town. The service I can't say much. The young lady who assisted us was not mean nor rude but wasn't welcoming either. She just did her job quickly and didn't say thank you at all. Just my thoughts

Ok it's been a year since I wrote a review on this place and I have to give an update because they have really improved on their customer service. And I am going to give credit when credit is due. As Yelp reviewers we have a duty to check back on the business and find out if they made an effort to improve. And in this case they certainly have. Their donuts in my opinion are the best in town and maybe even the Bay Area! 4/5 stars! Keep it up!

    Too good to go

LOOOOVE Tommys, donuts are always AMAZING. Got a large too good to go box and it was packed. Perfect to share on football Sunday.

There were a few people in line and it did take about 10 minutes before we were able to order. During that time, some of the malasada flavors ran out, but they were quickly replenished. We grabbed an assortment of flavors, an iced oat latte, and a black sesame latte. The banana creme brulee malasada looked so good that we had to try it in the store while waiting for our drinks. The dough is so soft and pillowy with a crispy layer of bruleed sugar and a delicious banana cream that was absolutely to die for. At $6.50, it's not a cheap treat, but it was super delicious and I'm glad we tried it. The drinks were also great. The espresso shot they pulled perfectly complemented the oat milk -- this is one of the better iced oat lattes I've had. We tried the black sesame latte because it sounded interesting and it was so creamy and loaded with black sesame flavor. For anyone that doesn't drink caffeine, I highly recommend you try the black sesame latte. With such great quality malasadas and drinks, it's no wonder there was a line! We'll definitely be back!

There's no seating area inside the bakery, but there are some tables outside next to a water fountain. Of the times that I've been there, it's mostly empty and clean, and the trash bins are not overflowing. The donuts are absolutely delicious. The brioche donut is soft but holds the fillings in well. There's also a bit of crunch from the sugar on the outside of the donut. There's an ample amount of filling, so you get to taste the flavors. So far, my favorites are Irish cream, lemon blueberry, and banana cream. It is a bit messy to eat, so have napkins and a small plate to catch any sugar or filling that may fall out when you bite into it. We had their chocolate chip cookie. It looked like a big mound of baked dough. Overall, it was okay. I would easily skip this for the donuts instead. I haven't tried their coffees, but my daughter loves the hot chocolate, and I have been enjoying their calamansi juice. It's nice and tart, not too sweet. I have seen some savory options but have not tried them. I will be back to explore the menu.

They have a nice offering of different donuts and breakfast sandwiches. The staff here is always super friendly which is nice to experience especially early in the morning. The workers there were super nice and I was able to sort of customize my croissant sandwich since I wanted nearly everything in there including veggies. I also got a chocolate twist donut and half a dozen donut holes. Then paired all that with a small cup of coffee. Total came out to about $20, which is not bad. The chocolate twist donut was massive! Love how fluffy and delicious the donuts were. The sandwich I got was loaded and came with good amounts of meat, also love how jalapenos are in there. The coffee was standard premade coffee that you pour at your own at the bar. Overall this is a great classic donut shop in the Hayward area off mission. When the opportunity presented itself, I came by today for the first time. The decor was mediocre but I was here for a take out order so my review will be strictly on the taste of the mochi donut itself. Mochi donut (Macha & Strawberry flavored) - 5 out of 5 They were fluffy and chewy in texture. Compared to your regular donut, it's just a different style of donut altogether. There is not actual mochi in the donut itself just a mental note. The sweetness wasn't overpowering which I liked and they're extremely fresh. Compared to the ones they offer in Osaka Marketplace, this one blows them out of the park. For any type of donuts, I general look for two things: 1. Are they fresh (if they aren't, you can generally tell from the dough being tougher if no other additives are placed in the dough) 2. The sugar toppings (If they place a heavier emphasis on sugar, I usually stay away since I'm more focused on the flavor instead) Service - 3 out of 5 The lady over the counter was a bit slow. She was on the phone when I came in and it took her about 10 minutes to finish her conversation before she was able to get to us. I think it was a phone order? It looked like she's the only person taking orders since the other workers saw us but kept on doing whatever they were doing. If you don't mind waiting a little like myself, it's a definite must try if you enjoy a chewier textured type of dough in your donuts or would just like to give a new type of donut a try. I don't usually judge too hard on the service staff in places like these since they're mostly mom and pop owned. Understand that when we come, they're just trying to do their best with what they've got is all we can ask for. Ultimately, the food takes home the win and Mochinut here did exactly that for me. They seemed to be Vietnamese owned since they sell other Vietnamese items here as well so keep that in mind. I'll definitely keep this place in mind when I'm feeling like a mochi donut again in the future!

My ONLY complaint is that occasionally my drink is made with regular cow's milk rather than the oatmilk I specify, which gives me the runs ALL FREAKING DAY. Started trying them out again and things have very obviously changed. First off, the quality of the donuts has noticeabley degraded. What used to be soft and fluffy donuts are now hard and dry, similar in texture to stale white bread. I recently tried some of the crueller donuts and it was literally the worst donut I've ever had. I ended up throwing the the other two away because they were practically inedible. The service and professionalism has also taken a hit. 70% of the time the employees are in regular street clothes with no DD branding which is a bit odd. I'm talking sweatpants and a hoodie, tank top and jeans, etc. On top of that, they seem to be "hiding" in the back most of the time just talking. I usually have to get their attention and even then they seem hesitant to come help. Used to love this place but the obvious change of ownership has really taken it's toll.
