We came in for an earlier dinner time, but the service was still very good. Didn't catch the young man's name who served us, but he provided good table service and answered questions about their menu. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen bowl with chicken and it was pretty good. Came with four pieces of chicken strips, sliced bamboo, half an egg, green onion, and noodles. The broth was pretty yummy and hit the spot. Their ramen bowls are about $17 each, or if you want their combo, it can be with almost any choice ramen with an appetizer. Lots of parking here and a good meal. Can't really beat that. read more

Even identical appetizers arrived at different times, and our ramen bowls were brought out inconsistently, so our group wasn't able to eat together. There didn't seem to be much coordination between the kitchen and the servers. One moment that really stood out was when a server came out carrying my partner's bowl of ramen but stopped to refill another table's water glasses and pick up a handheld checkout device from an already-vacant table before finally bringing the hot ramen over. It was odd to see hot food delayed for tasks that didn't seem as urgent as delivering a bowl of hot food to a waiting party. We also noticed several empty tables that hadn't been cleared or reset, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet. The food itself was decent for the price, but the long wait made the experience frustrating. If you're just looking for a good value, I'd recommend ordering takeout instead. If you're looking for a more authentic ramen experience, HiroNori down the street is a better choice. There was also a screaming child in the dining room for much of our visit. We have come by this location a few times and wondered why the crowds were thin compared to when we were at the Irvine Spectrum, so we gave it a try this past Saturday. Not sure if they were short staffed, but I felt the service was a bit off. Anything we wanted, water, napkins, etc, we had to ask for or flag someone down. Same thing when getting the bill. The ramen was just as good as Irvine, but the Spicy Tuna Roll was notably much smaller. Came here on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy. We got seated right away as a party of 5. Service was very quick, they took our order right away and got us water with a water pitcher. The quality has declined so much. We went last night and the noodles were soooo overcooked they tasted awful. They were very gooey. I asked all my cousins and their noodles were all overcooked as well. Was told it was a 20 min wait for the food so came back exactly in 20 min, but by the time I got back to the in-laws place who lives 5 min away, the bun dishes were already cold!! The karaage chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the fried dumplings were the perfect appetizer to share. Everything came out hot and fresh. We came in on a Monday night for dinner. The place was busy but there were still tables available and we were seated almost immediately. The wait staff served our waters and gave us time to order our food. We had the Tonkatsu ramen and the spicy karaage chicken bowl. The food came out not too long after. Our waitress were amazing at accommodating all our extra needs as we had our littles with us. She provided us with all the extra spoons and bowls for them. The ambiance is casual. We came here on a whim due to our other ramen spot being temporally closed and it wasn't too bad. When we first arrived we had to sign in and wait for a table, the guy in front explained it was going to be "a pretty long wait" . Honestly I think he was just trying to get rid of us because we only ended up waiting 5 minutes for a table and the dining area cleared out pretty swiftly after that. We ordered the fried gyozas (you can get them fried or grilled but our server recommended fried), they weren't terrible but the sauce that came with it wasn't the best. We opted to use the complementary soy sauce to dip our gyozas in. The ramen was pretty good, I ordered the classic with chicken ( not pictured unfortunately) and it was excellent , the broth was good and the noodles weren't brittle. My wife ordered the Blaze with chicken ( pictured) and she was thoroughly enjoying it up until she tried to eat her egg and it had an eggshell still on it. Unfortunately she wasn't able to finish after that, but says if you go no egg it's good. The ambiance is quaint and cozy, not too loud or too quiet.
