I used Grubhub to order my dinner after a long day at the hospital and it took an hour, but okay, fine. THE RESTAURANT delivers their own orders. The first thing the delivery guy does on the phone to say he's there is to ask me about a tip, a cash tip. I say I'll be right down. I get down to the door and this guy is holding my food hostage yelling at me about a tip, where's his cash tip? So I tell him I can tip you on the app. HE MAKES ME SHOW HIM WHERE IT SAYS I CAN ADD A TIP. Then I'm finally able to take my food, much to his annoyance, and he is still asking me to tip. So now I'm annoyed. I'm not going to tip someone who delivered my order from 1 mile away who is DEMANDING A TIP. SO HE TEXTED ME!! He sent me a text showing me where it says there's no tip. The shrimp tempura which my husband always orders is extra crispy and really yummy. Ordered some rolls for dinner tonight. Over an hour ago. Still haven't gotten the food. Called three times to the restaurant. First time was told it would be half an hour. Then the second time was told 10 more minutes. The last call I didn't even get one apology from the rude man who kept yelling that they're very busy. To top it all off, he hung up on me after yelling the delivery guy just left. Is this how this business is run?? I have guests sitting in the house hungry because the rolls that we're suppose to arrive are nowhere to be seen. And if the owner or employees are reading this, you guys need to learn how to apologize and not hang up on customers. Own up to your mistakes and learn how to deal with your business in a proper way. I give this place five stars because I consider it the best sushi place on Staten Island. Although it is located on the hick side of Staten Island toward Jersey, this hidden gem offers the freshest fish and best tasting sushi on the whole Island. The price is very reasonable. The place is small but cozy and they have a section that they have somewhat closed off so it provides a romantic atmosphere. They offer all their guest free edaname to start off. They have the best spicy salmon rolls, which just enough spice to it and their sashimi and sushi pieces tend to be on the bigger side. The wait staff is friendly and very attentive. If you have a complaint just tell them and they will try to make it right (one day they were so busy, that they forgot to bring me a roll that I ordered for appetizer and instead brought it with dinner. After I mentioned it, they apologized and offered us a complimentary mo-chi). Also they do not rush you out of there. I went on a very busy Friday night and they let us stay as long as we wanted. Haven't been here in years. They no longer offer reward program because they said they lowered their prices to accommodate the price range. I ordered the king crab pizza which was great, not crab tasting which tells me it wasn't fresh but nice otherwise with avocado and spicy mayo on a tostada tasting chip. Also ordered the spicy crunchy salmon roll with brown rice, which was nice but again tasted decent, not utterly fresh. My friends ordered the twin roll and the roll with mango in it. I also ordered the cold appetizer with squid and ponzu sauce on the side. The squid was good, a bit chewy but that's ordinary for the squid. The price total came to 89$ because we missed the lunch special. I've had better sushi on staten island and for the half hour drive would go somewhere more local with fresher ingredients. read more

I ordered for this place late last night. I tried the rainbow chicken bento box and spring roll. The order came out to $25+. The bento comes with soup, salad, California rolls (6 pieces), shumai (4 pieces), rice, and the rainbow chicken. To my surprise, the delivery came within 15 minutes. The food was satisfying and filling for the most part. Since the container had the sushi with the rest of the bento box, it was warm. At least it tasted freshly made. The rest was also good enough, but some of the vegetables in the rainbow chicken did not taste fresh. The spring rolls (2 pieces) was crunchy on the outside but mushy on the inside and I couldn't make out what it was I was eating so I threw out the rest. Overall I wasn't that disappointed because the rest was not that bad, but I do not think I will order from them again. read more

This place is confusing. They have good quality sushi fish but can almost never get an order or a simple request right. The sushi rice is never warm to the mouth, always cool. You ask for a roll of sushi for example like spicy tuna and they give you crunch inside when you never even asked for it. You get wasabi when you clearly asked to remove it. They also use too much rice in their sushi rolls. The funny thing is that regardless of what you say to them or how many times you say it, they seem to never listen or change. Also don't bother asking for the owner because the owner always hides who she is even though she is always there and runs the place. If you want what you ordered you need to literaly go there to eat and stand over the sushi man while he makes it to make sure. Delivery will always get messed up and they don't even give napkins either. Spicy mayo cups which they charge a dollar for come half full too. The amount of ginger you get with your order is at times a joke but you get enough of fake wasabi to kill a small animal. Hope this place changes. We need variety in 10312 read more

We frequent this place at least once a week. Fish is always fresh...but we always keep it simple with salmon, yellowtail, and sweet tofu rolls and sushi. Getting rolls with a ton of sauce and other stuff on it clashes with the taste of the fish and just seems unnecessary.
