    Chicken tenders and cheese curds
    Brooke F.

Stoped by this weekend for a pre-concert bite. So glad we did! We had chicken strips and some cheese curds, with a few beers and few games of darts. Literally cannot go wrong! It was a busy spot as it got closer to the concert. I think there was an event in town as well that drew a lot of people, but we enjoyed it! A fun spot and would definitely return

We arrived tired and worn out at our hotel after a 10-hour drive and were just looking for something close to have a bite to eat before retiring for the day. We got lucky here. Great food, nice cocktail and beer selection, decent service and reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? Well, one of our salads was missing some of the ingredients listed in the description, but our server quickly brought it out to us. Since the weather was nice, we sat out on the patio, people watching since there is a small park across the street. It's worth a visit in my opinion.

Had some drinks at the bar prior to a show at the Armory. Great location. They have patio seating as well as seating options inside. We originally sat a high top table inside and waited a few mins with no server approaching us so when spots at the bar opened up, we moved right over. The bartenders were friendly and attentive and my strawberry mule was delish.

We came to off the rails prior to a show at the armory next door as it came highly recommended. Upon walking in the entire establishment is seat yourself and then a server comes to you with drink and food menus. We ordered the birria tacos to share because I was super hungry and it was a very large portion. One taco is huge and I ate maybe half and was super full. The tacos have seasoned beef roast and short ribs, slow roasted in a rich adobe sauce. 3 tacos built with onions, cilantro and chihuahua cheese. Fried to perfection in a 6' corn tortilla and served with consume for dipping. All for only $12.95 which is a bargain! The inside is very industrial almost reminds me of a brewery.

Not great, Bob! Only makes sense to go to Off the Rails if you're right there for an event and don't mind if it takes a while. Service is inattentive at best. Apps are mediocre, though the burgers looked better. I don't mind that they host acoustic singers on their little patio, but the rest of the place feels Cowboy Jack's Lite.

    Sourdough grilled cheese and chili

Good food, friendly staff. My only complaint was the chili I had with the grilled cheese lunch special was lukewarm.

This was my first time in this establishment. And was invited for a work happy hour. As you approach the establishment you will see a large area of umbrellas along with a bar done I'm a modern open concept. The bar was well lit and not hot inside. The beer was ice cold and lthe food was delicious. The service was second to none and made sure we had a great time..

I went there a few weeks ago and I loved the shrimp they had there for an appetizer and then I tried their blackberry burger which didn't really taste like blackberry but it was still good nonetheless. Ambiance was nice too.

Honestly, I didn't love this place the first time I visited in 2023. Things took a positive turn in the summer of 2024. Great drinks, that are well priced and even a bit creative. Served quickly and efficiently with an amazing view of the stadium as well as downtown East's coolest park. The vibe is great on a nice day either way a great outdoor patio. The food is solid .. sliders and fried cheese curds. Love the sandwiches also. Yes, it's basic and delicious . Servers are pleasant and a bit slow. Great place to park before a giants game or a concert.

Before we even got there, we could smell this place, a GREAT sign! The hostess was lovely and guided us to our seats right away! The first thing I noticed was the decor is slightly dark and moody! Perfect for a romantic date! Plenty of candles flickering on each table! The kitchen is open, so it was fun to watch! Our only complaint is that the tables are fairly close together and a 2 person table is so small! It kept us from ordering more food, because there would be no place for it to go! Our server was nice. She originally forgot our drinks but admitted it and got them right away. We appreciated the honesty. Our water glasses were always full, we were given wet naps after our delicious wings and plates were taken promptly! Food: We each started with a drink. I got the banana bread old fashioned which may just be my favorite cocktail! My boyfriend got a beer and said it was "ok." We started with the truffle fries and smoked wings in the flavor rum chili. Holy moly! Both of those were spectacular!!! The ranch was just ok, I would probably get the blue cheese next time. Truly though, you don't need to dip these wings, the flavors are amazing on their own!! For our main course, we got the 14oz New York strip steak cooked to a perfect medium and the scallops! Both were out of this world! Very well done! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! It is truly a gem in the cities!

Wood + Paddle is located inside of the Royal, it's their hotel restaurant. On my first night in Minneapolis, I'd arrived to the hotel for check-in around dinner time. Not sure where to go and tired from the flight, I headed down to the lobby and walked over. When I asked if I could get a table for 1, she asked me if I would be comfortable with eating at the bar. It was a Sunday night, so I think she wanted to reserve tables for parties of two or more. I was fine with it, but I noticed there were quite a few empty tables. A few days later, I had lunch with a colleague here. We got seated at a table, and the service was really good. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we kept our lunch within our time requirements so we could get back to the conference without issue. The food was really good. I tried to order or sample local or MN specialties during my trip. The hostess was extremely unfriendly and seemed very unhappy. She played the game and greeted us, but never once made eye contact, said "welcome in", "thank you for coming in" or anything else that would make a customer feel like they were appreciated for coming in. From the time we walked in to the time she showed us to our table, I said "thank you so much" three times and not once was even acknowledged or replied back with a "you're welcome". She should really find something else to do if she's not going to be a "host". Serving people should be the greatest pleasure we have when engaging with those we don't know. Patrick on the other hand was truly awesome. Friendly, smiling, engaged in conversation prior to taking our order and just seemed happy to talk to us. We told him we were from Nevada and were only there because of a recommendation from a couple in an elevator! He thought that was just awesome. Food arrived and everything was really good. The hash browns were WAY overcooked, almost burnt, but that was the only negative thing to say about the food. It was otherwise delicious! I would strongly suggest this place for breakfast. The menu is really good, with a decent variety of good options to choose from. Cost wasn't bad, but not a deal either.
