You only pay $5 either as a performer or audience member. That is a bargain! 2. There are no more than 12 comedians performing in total. Each comedian has a 5 minute set. You'll be home in time to shower, go to sleep early, and wake up sober for work the next day! 3. Friendly and encouraging audience. No one will boo you or throw a bottle at you! If you are interested in taking classes in Improv/Comedy or would just like to be a supportive audience member, this is the place to be!

It is scary at first but the growth is quick and you are supported and encouraged so much more than you could imagine, not only by the instructors but that group of strangers who you bond with. Some of my biggest takeaways are to listen, (really listen), choose words wisely, and not to rush. This is not only true on the Held2gether stage but has carried over in my life. Give it a try, you won't regret it and you just may get hooked too. All are welcome and encouraged.

The problem with that is that our waitress had to get flagged everytime! She never checked up on us. She attended to those that had reserved table seating. Very dissapointed on customer service. Overall the show was classy. Great choreography, vibing to some reggaeton music. No complaints about the show. We had fun! This place is the only Burlisque show that I know or aware of that is in the Long Beach area. Check the website to view the lineup. Category changes everytime. Great ambiance with clean restrooms. Parking will be on the street or timed parking structure. I would comeback. My experience only, yours might be better.

We had a blast! The band had the crowd jumping. In addition, the place is big w/ lots of tables for large groups (there were ~ 15 in our party). The dance floor is spacious also, so it didn't get body to body. Lastly, the clientele are chill, and no one was looking to cause trouble unlike some places. Our waitress took excellent care of us (I forgot her name). But all the staff was cool. I ordered a few drinks from Yvette at the bar, and she was friendly & warm. The only downside is the food is pricey & average. That issue is easily resolved by eating beforehand (band starts @ ~ 9 pm). I only had snacks at Gaslamp to line my stomach for all the alcohol. I would definitely return to enjoy a fun night in a low key place. The cover is reasonable, and the service is very good.

I was not able to understand what Whey Jennings said from the stage. Either he did not speak well or else that the acoustics were bad. With our Disney+ account, the owner Charles was able to set up for us a completely private screening of the new Raya and the Last Dragon film. The independent play house seats 40-50, but was the perfect size for the 10 of us to spread out and be socially distanced, yet feel together. The inside of the theater is beautiful, with vintage seating from the 1940s. The price was affordable, as they are running a special rental price of $20/person for 3 hours. Charles was great to work with. He put so much work into his theater, and his passion for it shows. He is flexible and open to ideas. If you are looking for a safe and unique place to have a movie or game night with your group, I would highly recommend this theater!
