Great pizza, quick delivery. We had the white pizza with a side of meatballs. The cannoli was fresh as well, though a bit overpriced imo.

We try and order from here at least once or twice a week. They make one of the best calzones I have ever eaten along with an amazing marinara. Unfortunately it is not consistent. I have tried ordering a different night every week and you will get your food different just about every night. I wished who ever was cooking would get on the same page. Please. Make the calzones huge and with a TON of pepperoni every time. You will have a life long customer if you could do this. Great NY vibe with lots to look at while you eat. Great music while we here and it made feel even more authentic. The pizza is good and I recommend the double mushroom garlic slice$3.50.. very large slices! I'm a pretty big eater and two slices filled me up. We ordered online for delivery. We got a half meatball and half cheese. OMG! I'm very partial to the cheese on this pizza! (Just like Al's). The sauce was just right, not too scarce and not drowning in it. The flavor was on point. The meatballs were flat but delicious. Why only 4 stars? The crust was thin but didn't have any flavor standing alone. It got kinda soggy, but the flavor of the cheese saved the meal . Maybe next time I'll get some garlic butter to dip the crust in. Both Female employees were very rude. Tuesdays have been deals on large cheese pizzas. Been getting it just for deal. The specials where written on the chalk board. They made me look like the bad guy in front of employees and customers. One claimed to be there for 8 months first time I seen her. Then saying that the cashier "stealing money from the store". Even though I use debit he never stole from me and doing his job. After her obnoxious attitude towards me I didn't want it and told her that I don't want it now. Then she was giving me attitude about that. Very disrespectful people working there lied to make her seem in the right. Will not go again if this employees work there. Being a certain type of female doesn't make you qualify for that position and they definitely are not. Work on your people skill and not your ego. This fresh, relaxed, local late night joint has something for everyone from classic slices to the infamous Duval pie (a weird favorite that you have to try.) Pizza is cheesy, foldable (unless it has a bunch of toppings) and the crust is a nice balance. We've been here twice and each time everything has been perfect. Our favorite things thus far include the doughy-yet-crisp garlic knots woth that red sauce mmmm you want to take a dive in it, with the garlic knot as your floaty. That's how good it is. Our bartender/pizza expert Bri is on point every time. Very friendly, funny and freaking fantastic conversationalist. So whether you are perched alone at the pizza bar, or with someone--you'll always feel like you are having pizza woth a friend. There is room for a great time with a large group of friends or a family night, not much but we have seen them make it work. I have found my new favorite pizza place in the Jacksonville Beach area. The chicken bacon ranch pizza was amazing. The crust was crunchy and delicious, the chicken was juicy and seasoned all the way through. The meat lovers (which has three kinds of pepperoni) was very filling and one slice is probably enough to fill you up. The best part of all about both pizzas is that neither of them are drowned in grease. Truly a delicious solid pie. read more

The first time I had them I fell in love. Yesterday when I ordered it definitely did not live up to the expectations from the first time. The mozzarella sticks had an old taste like they weren't made fresh. The Philly cheesesteak was hot but the directions were not followed on lite veggies. The pizza did not appear to be fresh either. My first time getting over to Tony Pepperoni's and Monday was a great day for it! $1.50 cheese slices and $1 Genny Cream Ale in a can... it's really hard to complain! Upon entering we were greeted by a super friendly hostess/waitress/bartender all around really friendly person. The atmosphere was actually really chill, multiple TV's showing sports, booth seating, small high top tables and a few places at the "pizza bar". Mostly families having dinner and lots of pick-up orders coming in to get their food. The bar area was full so after ordering at the counter I took a seat. Within a couple of minutes the pizza and a cold beer arrived. Again very friendly staff, and she was attending to everyone in the place! The pizza was pretty good. It was cooked very well with a bit of crisp to the crust that folded well and stood up to the "hold test". The sauce was a bit lacking in flavor and it overall did taste a bit salty. I will definitely come back as they have a nice looking menu for other items to try, but I want to try the pizza a few more times. I'm very tempted to give this place 4 stars for the overall experience, so I'll have to go back in a week or so and try again. If your in the Mayport area this should definitely be on your radar. read more

I visited this pizzeria twice before writing a review. I enjoyed the plain cheese pizza slice. It was large like a typical New York slice and the crust was just right. It was nice to be able to enjoy just a slice and not have to order a whole pizza pie. The next time I went, I tried the meat lovers slice. It was a little disappointing. There was a lot more grease and the crust as thinner and it was a little burnt after it was reheated. The lady that served me both times was pleasant. The strawberry melon drink was good, but the regular iced tea was watery. The restaurant is small, but cozy. This location has changed hands several times since it was part of the much larger pizzeria, years ago. I wish the new owners the best of luck. read more

I had wanted to try this place for a while now and finally got the chance. I needed to pickup the pizza and called so that it would be ready when I got there. I called from the corner of Atl/Hodges. I was put on hold until I pulled into the parking lot. Too late to try and call someone else. I was told 20 minutes, it was closer to 30. What I didn't catch was the sign on the counter than said I woudl be charged an extra 3% for using my debit card. There are very few places that deliver on base at Mayport, so living here, our options are extremely limited when we want to order out for delivery. I have heard both good and bad things about Tony Pepperoni, but I wanted to satisfy my curiosity. So instead of ordering the usual Domino's last night, we called Tony Pepperoni and placed an order for a meatball sub with fries, a large pizza, and a 10 piece order of hot wings. I was honestly expecting our food to take such a long time, and be semi-cold. Surprisingly, they came in just an hour, and our food was hot. My sub nearly felt like it just came out of the oven. The sauce on the meatball sub & the pizza has a unique and sweet flavor. It has a great balance of zest and sweetness. However, I do feel like the pizza should have had a little bit more cheese on it for the price. Our family shared the pizza, and everyone approved. My husband ate the wings and said they were very delicious. On top of the awesome food, paying for delivery didn't break the bank for us. We are really looking forward to ordering again, and trying something new next time.
