Tony's Kitchen is one of THE BEST restaurants I have been to. It is a great place for different types of food. They have Mexican, Italian, and American. The food there is delicious and is very well priced, all the ingredients taste fresh and the dishes are never too salty. It is very different from all the other restaurants you will find in Bixby Knolls due to its selection and wide variety of foods. Service is also incredible and staff is always nice and welcoming. The food is always served hot and freshly made. It is also a beautiful restaurant, beautiful paintings and decorations. I also can't forget to mention the delicious fresh tortilla chips and incredible salsa! Their tiramisu is also the best most moist and flavorful tiramisu I have ever tried. Judging strictly off the chilaquiles I'd give this place a 2 .. chilaquiles has become one of my favorite breakfast meals over the past few years and this restaurant ruined it! For starters the "tortilla chips" tasted like they were fresh out of a plastic bag. As if they took dorrito chips and poured salsa on em .. the green sauce was watered down, I couldn't enjoy my food the way I had imagined because I couldn't even use my fork the chips would just crumble as I tried to fork them up. Well, we seen lots of reviews so we thought we would try it. There was six of us. We called in advance and they had the tables set up, but they took a very long time to come and take our order. The lady did not seem very confident in herself, they did not check on us. And they took a very very long time to bring our check. The food was OK.At best. We have ordered take-out meals from here on four separate occasions now, and all have been DELICIOUS! The stand outs are: 1) shrimp scampi pasta, 2) spaghetti and meatballs (even my picky kid loved this dish!), 3) breakfast burrito. The food is flavorful, fresh, and generously portioned. My only complaint: it shouldn't be a big deal when requesting extra sides of pico de gallo and salsa for the breakfast burrito. Update on another visit. I ordered lasagna and it came with an actual salad! Not one of those made with crappy head lettuce and token carrot bits. Spring mix herb salad with home made bleau cheese dressing. Yum The lasagna portion was large enough that I had to take some home. My girlfriends and I enjoyed a nice Sunday brunch at Tony's. Everyone enjoyed their meals, service was great and we never felt rushed. So, 5 stars for the food. I am knocking off one star for the decor. The interior is really cheesy and such a missed opportunity to have done something great. Tony's is right next door to Meema's and they always have a line out the door. The food is just as good but the decor next door is so cute and inviting. Finally got a chance to try Tony's Kitchen. I was excited by the Mahi Mahi wrap. It was flavorful with a little kick. Next time I'd order it with a little less rice to get a better balance. Sadly, the menu has changed. It no longer comes with mango salsa but instead has guacamole. I requested light guacamole but still found it to be too much. I think the mango salsa would have made it lighter and more freshing. My order also included a side of fried zucchini. They were thick, crunchy and not overly breaded. This small kitchen puts out big taste! I have been coming here since COVID began, and they do a great job at takeout. In the area there aren't a lot of options, but this restaurant has a good variety of options from tacos to pizza and pasta, and even crepes and other breakfast foods. I order out from here at least twice a week, ordering something new every time. the crepes are great as a desert, and I find myself ordering the cemita often. My favorite part of the food is that even with the varied menu, I know that whatever I order will be made fresh. No item is premade and left on a heat lamp. The ingredients they use are high quality and it shows in the food. Finding a fast service restaurant with these qualities is rare.
