In the future, It would be helpful if they ran through a few preliminary questions or pictures of the unit to see if a trip out is worth the time. Before the technician left I asked a few more questions before he suggested a Home Energy Audit. I'm hopeful that the home energy audit could put me on a better path to resolving the cooling issues in my home. I picked Exxel to replace our system based on these: 1. Very detailed quotes, model number, seer, eer, afue, capacity, etc. everything that I needed to research and compare. 2. Detail explanation of the warranty period. 3. Explanation of what would happen on the day of installation, again very detailed, so no surprises. 4. I asked for multiple quotes based on two stage and variable stage units and seers. Bob wasn't annoyed that I asked for multiple quotes so I can research and compare. He provided multiple quotes in less than 24hrs. Other companies seem annoyed that I asked for multiple quotes and didn't really provide what I asked for. I felt that he understood as consumers, we all do research before purchasing high price items and he was not annoyed with that fact. 5. I had additional questions (probably some stupid ones that hvac professionals get all the time) and Bob patiently answered my questions. At the day of the installation, they arrived within their estimated time. Bob and Greg were very professional. They called in the morning and gave me the arrival time. Since we don't wear shoes in our house, I had covered our floor with tarps, too my surprise they put their tarps on top of my tarps. It was totally fine with me considering they observed that we don't wear shoes and respected that and tried to keep our floors clean. The install took about eight hours and I was glad that there was no pressure to sell me other stuff. They cleaned up the area before leaving. I highly recommend Exxel and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.....when it's time to replace our upstairs heat pump.

After a long weekend of high humidity and high temperatures in early September, our A/C went out…read more We had a newborn in the house and that Saturday night was miserable. I figured I wouldn't be able to talk to anyone before Monday. I still called Ewin HVAC on Sunday expecting to leave a message. Rob answered after 1 ring at 8am on Sunday morning!! I couldn't believe it! He was able to squeeze in an appointment for us the very next day. Monday came and he was running a bit late. However he called and apologized prior to arriving. He stayed until 8pm that night diagnosing the problem (it was a refrigerant leak in our A/C coil) and even got us a temporary fix so we could have cool air for our newborn that same night. His prices and estimates were fair and he let me know the worst case scenario upfront. THE BEST PART was our A/C coil had just come out of manufacturer's warranty. Rob made no guarantees but promised to try to get it covered by the manufacturer anyway. Tuesday morning he called and let me know he was able to get us a brand new coil COVERED. Saved us $500-$600!! Rob did not have to do that for us but his willingness to get us the best deal made a strong and lasting impression. He then was able to get the parts needed and installed the new coil promptly a few days later. The A/C is running better than ever before and we have Rob to thank. I would not go to anyone else for your HVAC needs, Rob is the best!!

They refilled my freon multiple times to help us cool down our farm house while they waited for some parts to come in. Beware of this company! They were hired by my home warranty company. They sent a new plumber out…read morewho advised that he snaked my line to the street! Within hours of him leaving I had water in my basement which I didn't have prior to him coming! I called the company three times which they said they would have a manager call me, which never happened. What I did get was a bill for an additional $350 on top of the $50 service fees I had to pay and the $150 my warranty paid. What's interesting is that I asked the plumber how much the job would have costed me without my warranty and he said $250!! So I'm confused at how a $250 job was billed at $550. My warranty company called them and they said they wouldn't send anyone out until I paid the additional $350. I'm also confused at how he "snaked the line to the street" and that same line is still clogged per the new plumber currently working in my basement. He also cracked the line cap which is why the water is backing up in the basement and not in the pipes as it initially did! I'm so confused and completely disgusted by how this business handles customers! Beware and learn from my nightmare!
