Mike Noble is a master Mercedes mechanic who is 100% honest and an absolute joy work with. I cannot say enough good about the experience provided by Mike & Cindy at Noble Motors. I have an older Sprinter that needed driver door adjustment, slider door fix, and a general service. Mike did a terrific job with it while keeping my informed all through the process. He has a very deep knowledge of Mercedes, and is just one of those mechanics who knows 'the right way' to do a given job on a given Mercedes vehicle. Mike is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. I drive a 17 year old ML and was having a very crazy situation where the car would go into limp mode every 7 minutes requiring me to pull over and restart the car. Obviously this was a frustrating and extremely dangerous situation. We had the car in a couple of times while Mike was assessing the situation and he spent many hours trying different fixes until he eventually took a part out of his own car and tried it in ours to see if that was the answer. Turns out it was! Mike only charged us for the new part and the time it took to install, not any of the time he spent figuring it out in the first place. For that alone, I will be a forever customer. Mike Noble has taken terrific care of me and my cars. I was referred to Mike after I had purchased a used car, and I was told I should take the car to Mike to inspect. Mike fit me in his busy schedule and notified me the car I had purchased had been severely damaged. He gave me advice on how I should return the car. He did all of this without charging me a penny, and he saved me! He then inspected my second replacement car, and he adjusted a belt, a light, installed a couple of trim parts for me, and checked the car for damage. Again, he did all of this at no charge. Thankfully, the second car was a winner. Mike is clearly trying to save people money. He is smart, experienced, honest, and reliable, and he deserves respect. I have learned that he appreciates customers scheduling appointments and not just stopping by, because he personally works on every car. He is extremely knowledgeable about all Mercedes vehicles. I noticed a negative review from 06/06/2014. Very strange. My experience, and my friends' experiences are completely opposite. My friends who have used Mike are remarkably discriminating about their cars, and for them to rave about a mechanic was a tremendous endorsement. If you meet Mike, you'll know immediately why a negative review of any sort seems unbelievable. Mike comes across as a personable and humble professional engineer who is really looking out for his customers. He is thoughtful and takes his job very personally. The first time I took my ML430 in for a checkup I was told the tie rod needed replaced. All it needed was a nut tightened. I was also advised the idler belt pulley needed replaced soon. I checked it out and found the ac compressor oil drain/ fill plug loose. This plug does not get loose on its own. I suspect foul play attempting to have me return later for an expensive ac compressor replacement. Shops tend to make gobs of profit on ac units. I do not recommend this shop. read more

WARNING WARNING WARNING!!! I brought my 2006 CLS 500 to Mike because he said he could replace my Turbine speed sensor for $850 instead of the $1050 that the mercedes dealership would charge. After my car was there there for a couple of days he called and said he was almost done but that he would have to change a valve in there to make it work and it would now cost $1400. I told him that I had an estimate from the dealership that they would do the whole job for $1050 and he said that the service advisor was new and didn't know what he is talking about and that if I took the car back to the dealership they would charge me a lot more than the $1400 that he wanted. I called the dealership again and talked to them and they assured me that the quote included the complete valve body replacement. I took my car from Mikes shop to the dealership where they did the whole job for $1170 which included a diagnostic fee because someone else had worked on the car. If you think you are saving money by taking your car to Mike I would be very careful! Now I just wonder how much I was overcharged the last few times my car was in his shop!! I really trusted him with my car and can't believe this happened! read more

I highly recommend Mike @ Noble Motors, Inc. Prior to going into business for himslf years ago, he was the Service Manger for 10+ yrs @ the largest Mercedes dealer in town! He is amazing and just a really nice & honest guy. I had just purchased a pre-owned Mercedes ML55 AMG, I had a thorough pre-purchase inspection preformed by PDX Inspections earlier this morning & was having some issues with several stored error codes causing ABS & check engine lights to stay on. After I got the results, I called Mike & Cindy @ Noble about the codes & she welcomed me in for a diagnostic check and Mike did his magic. He was very thorough & has all the latest computer equipment. In the end he was able to clear all the problematic codes, give me an accurate diagnosis of a few small issues and now I am on my way feeling much relief. Thank you so much Mike! If you're someone who believes in getting it right the first time, and without compromising, this is your spot. I can't say enough good things to say about Mike and how he treats both existing customers, but also unexpected "drop-ins" like me. I was on a road trip to Portland from Vancouver, BC and just as I was pulling into Portland on Friday night my Check Engine Light came on in my 2004 ML350 and engine starting misfiring and running very rough. I was 6 hours away from my regular MB mechanic and was in need of some diagnostic. As a "car-guy", I like to stay on top of my regular maintenance and like to keep my vehicles in top shape. This is even more important while on a vacation! As I was searching for an MB specialist that could give me a diagnosis (on a Saturday to make things even worse), I came across Noble and Mike. With so many good reviews, I instantly knew he was the one to take the ML to. Taking a chance on Saturday morning, I drove to see him early and he not only was able to fit me in within the hour, but also ran a diagnostic, printed out the results to show my mechanic when I returned home and reassured me that the misfire in my cylinders could have been caused by a number of benign potential issues. Mike told me he's had 4 MLs over the years, so I instantly knew that he's seen it all. Exactly as he told me, the engine ran as it normally does all the way home, with no sign of the CEL nor any misfires. While I likely could have taken the chance and everything would have been OK, the fact that Mike gave me his advice and assurance was very comforting. I can definitely say that if I lived just a bit closer, Mike would be my first choice in my MB service. To all you Oregonians - you have an amazing resource in Noble. Thanks again Mike. There is no better way to take care of your Mercedes than with Noble Motors and Uber-Meister Mike Noble. I swear that every time I bring my 1985 300DT (the ninth Mercedes I've owned -- so I know) into NM it runs better and stronger. The last time was to replace the 30-year old vacuum pump for which Mike dedicated his Saturday to make sure it was ready to go on Monday. You dont get better service and dedication to craft and customer than that -- no matter what day of the week he works on your car. Bottom line: Mike and his trusty team assistant Cindy are the best thing that can happen to your Mercedes. (BTW, I'm planting a cactus in the old vacuum pump...) read more

Mike came highly recommended from a friend of mine and long time customer of his. I recently took in my 2012 ML350 Bluetec due to the check engine light being on. Mike determined that the add blue heater element was failing. My vehicle had approximately 65K on it at the time and was out of warranty. After considerable research on his part, Mike informed me that there was a 7 year 70,000 mile extended emissions warranty on the vehicle but that it appeared this particular part, while critical to proper emission control, was not covered. This was not an inconsequential item as the estimated cost to repair was around $1,500 parts and labor. Of course he was willing to complete the repair for me at substantial expense, but instead urged me to contact the local dealer where I had purchased the vehicle and had done all warranty work to see if as a goodwill gesture they would complete this work. Luckily for me they did. Luckier for me I had visited an honest, competent mechanic like Mike who took the time to save me $1,500 when he could have easily put that money in his pocket. I needed a few parts changed on my Mercedes. I went to Noble Motors. I left the car there got a ride to work and Mike offered to drop my car off at my work for me when he was finished!! Very reasonably priced. He fixed my oxygen sensor and he said while he was at it he noticed one of my headlights was fried. He fixed that at no cost. Exceptional service. Wont take my SL anywhere else now. read more
